[Q] Questions about making a rom - Droid X General

I've been wanting to make a droid x rom for a while, and i have years of java, and android coding experience. I was wondering if anyone in the forums could point me in the direction of a tutorial for rom creation, and if possible porting a rom to the droid x.

[Q] Barebones ROM

OK, I know i'm not going to get anywhere, because I have scoured the web for this, but i'll ask anyway.
I am seeking a barebones ROM for the HD Mini. Barebones as in without Sense or the HTC oem stuff. Just a clean, vanilla WinMob 6.5 ROM. I have tried to make my own and asked for help making my own, but i've gotten nothing but unstable, corrupted ROMs. Does anybody have a barebones ROM or at least a guide for building one? I'm reaching the end of my tether and i'm about ready to turf this phone.
You might as well donate your phone to the Android bounty for the Mini, so the devs will have something to test their builds with

Click to collapse
I would go for OZDROID Rom for the windows build and MDJ Froyo HD 4.3 for the Droid build. (Radio 2.14.50)
Nice and smooth + Battery life is ok'ish.

Verizon Samsung Fascinate Question

Hi, I'm new to the forum, but I've been browsing around for about a week reading what I could about the fascinate and what can be done with it. I'm not new to Android, but I am new to rooting and ROM's for the android devices. I used to do this all the time on my blackberry devices, but this will be the first droid I have attempted, so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction as far as how to root the device and install custom roms. If anyone could point me toward anything I should read before hand, and any info that can be found on the process itself, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Anthony

Totally New to Android Modding

I never really played with Android, but I was wondering how you "flash" a custom rom to a phone? If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be great. Thanks

[Q] Starting to cook ROM

Hi,
I'm using an Android HTC Desire since one year and a Folio 100 Tablet since december.
I really enjoy android and I want if possible to start learning "how to cook rom".
Is there somewhere some post, website, step by step starting help ?
Regards
Harlock
Shure, just look at SDK (software development kit) at the Android's home page; why do you want to cook a ROM? isn't your devices working properly or without full functionality?
My first point is trying to make a Honeycom rom for my Tablet (under 2.2)
My second point is for work moving a 1.6 android tablet to 2.2 or 2.3

Any others links or ressources to assit on that ?
