Are you tried to read many tutorials which are posted in Chef Central? Or you prefer to have a piece of cake?
I'm suggesting you start with rollup thread by + Que PPC, it includes all information about this.
Good luck.
i was reading one and i was like wtf... i think i can do it but i am lost but ill check that out
You could check out my OsKitchen TUT Theres a link in my Sig, for any Q's, post in my thread
Yes... you should ask everyhting related in to the tutorial threads not start a new one... learn good
thread closed is redundant and unnecesary
are there any custom roms out there based off 2.2?
im new to this, and i know cyanogen doesn't have one yet but was wondering if there might be some others that do
great thread

try to look HERE
great, thanks for the help
/sarcasm
1. Questions go in the Q&A forum
2. Search in the ROM Development forum
I think what they are trying to tell you to read and search before just trying to be spoon fed answers with that said I'm closing this thread.

And DsiXda beat me.....

Hi guys - what is the method for installing a custom or test kernel on the Incredible? I've rebuild the kernel source with my changes, but I can't seem to find info on how a new image and/or its modules should be installed to the system.
I saw the undervolt kernel, but it looks like it has to be put into an update.zip file - is this the only method to push an image?
Thanks, Matt.
shouldn't this go under Q&A? Why is the development section overflooded with Q&A? Do the mods not moderate this section?
The N1 dev section is heavily moderated.
anyway, kernels can be flashed if you have the boot image in recovery.

+1000 for you sir...it's a little ridiculous.
agreed...that is what I was looking for - a Q&A, but since you were kind enough to answer me, would you mind going into a little more detail on

This really helped me understand a lot of how this stuff is done. It's written for the Nexus One, but the process should be similar.
The site is : theunlockr.com ... Click on How To's --> android --> then Nexus One.
Hope this helps. Goodluck.
Edit: This reply was meant for a diff thread but may help people here as well.

Do a member search for BTDAG,..... then check his threads. It is called something like Noob guide to rooting and will also be in the development section.

You are asking if someone can give you something. That is quite obviously a question. We have a Q&A forum for questions. Development forums are only for actual development, ROM's, kernels, smali hacks etc etc.
