2.3.5 with Sense 3.5? I don't think this was possible, as HTC wants to market its new phones with Sense3.5
So, there would be no reason to release this kind RUU for DesireHD. May be it will be happen after 3-4 months after releasing a new phone with HTC sense4.0 or something else. Anyway Thanks for the post. Where do u found this?
Sent from my HTC Desire HD
I very much doubt that is from an official (leak or otherwise) DHD ROM.
That picture is proof of absolutely nothing.
It is true
PS: Oh lol, i got 2.3.5 version too, its just not 3.5 sense with 3.45.405.3RUU, lol

[LEAK] HTC Desire HD 3.45.405.3 Android 2.3.5
I don't think HTC will be bringing out two version in short time, so the 3.45 is probably fake. I believe mike's as he already got the RUU and already ported it to ARHD.

hopefully really soon
No Doubt!!! There are some really big fixes in that list. I'm glad Verizon is taking the time fix the issues before pushing out the OTA

there are a couple devs working on a rom for this new leak, which is actually LEAK VS. 4.
Two devs have a basic rom they are working on, and another dev is about to start an update to his rom. so just hang tight, a rooted version of this will be available shortly, like a day or 2.
Oh FINALLY some action up in this place. This is cool.
Hey eclipse, what was v3? I'm with the OP; I thought this was.
there was the 2.1 developer ROM,
then the 2.1 Leak w/o root
then the 2.1 pre-OTA
then this one.

This v3 leak is for the leaked people, but it does not help us in any way get root.
Digging the update, but...
My market is still devoid of several apps.. I'm non-rooted (early leak adopter), so it doesn't seem jcase's fix will work for me.. just wanted to share in case A) someone else was trying to figure out whether v3 fixed this problem, and/or B) I'm an idiot and someone else knows what I need to do to see the full market..

It's not just you and you are not an idiot. The short answer is that the problem lies with google, VZW, and HTC. HTC has to give google a final build number before google can authorize full access to the market.
In short we won't get full access until we a) get root or b) VZW releases an official OTA.

hey guys,
just wondering what all the hype is going on at the moment?
regarding the official 2.2 release i mean.
"CM6 final" has been out i think since september (i think) and that's froyo 2.2, so what's the deal or difference to the official 2.2? why is everyone freaking out and posting roms if CM6 has been available for quite some time now and CM roms offer way more functions, etc?
i don't get it, please someone lemme know why the official release should be any better?!
thx,

@ first two posters: wow, very informative, thank you.
@ last poster: thx. ok that makes sense. still doubt it though that a stock rom can compete with an overclocked kernel running at 650+mhz, rooted, brutmaps for international navigation,... just to name very few functions that unofficial roms feature.
i'll definetely try an official version as soon as there is a reliable version. to see if it has any advantage. we'll see.

I've tried a few different roms, including CM5 and CM6, and nothing is as fast or as stable as my oem 1.6, rooted w/universal androot and overclocked to 528mhz.
If you're gonna compare, don't compare a modded version of the official rom, use the actual official rom.
alright, I need some help now:
there are a couple different releases in the development section and I don't understand which one is the actual official one. so far there are 4 versions (here are the thread starters):
bladyle
amazinglarry311
dasunsrule32
crios
would someone be kind enough to give a quick explanation (not in detail) what the differences are and what rom is the closest-to-official?
are they all just work arounds to make the OTA release work on all htc magics and the cookers are trying different approaches? one is changing something with the spl, one is using a CM6 rom, one is taking files from different roms and using adb commands to set everything up,...
I'd appreciate some help!
thx,

Ok i found the problem, i made the script to just copy over the files but have now edited it to delete the old app and lib first.
I have tested 4 times and all working aok..
You may need to install the original GB Music.apkV2.zip first as this deletes the associated lib then reboot, then install the new music.apk from honeycomb.
Everyone else should not have a problem.. This directly relates to Michelle..
Enjoy! And hit that thanks button!! lol.

Hi,
I am new to Samsung phones so don't know a lot of the terminology. Can anyone please explain what a .pit file is and what a PDA file is?
I understand the android advices guide, but I do not understand why there is no ext4.pit file in the following link, if it is necessary for the upgrade procedure:
http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-i9100.htm
So... is it strictly necessary, or is it possible to get by without it?

^^Yeah I was always under the impression we need a 3.0 kernel (or major parts from it) for sense 4 to boot properly. That is what sbryan said back in the day when this (not this particular RUU but the ics sense 3.6 for the sensation) RUU first came to light. He said he would build us a ics 4 sense 4 kernel when he got the time but has not continued work on it that I know of.
Thanks for trying
Yes, we need a new kernel and driver..
Have you tried using tytung's ICS r1 kernel?
Tytung ' s ICS R1 kernel I have tested, the same problem
how did you port/build this (e.g kitchen or another method) .. i tried to port it from the sensation forums and got stuck constantly booted in clockwork recovery instead of boot animation... and couldnt get logcat to work
Hopefully this will lead to a great Sense 4 experience. Honestly Sense 3 and 3.5 are way better on HD2 than on Sensation for example!
Quoting myself here:
marc1706 said:
I think we'll have more issues like that since there is no kernel source code for the new sense 3.6 yet.
As far as I can see this is currently audio related though I'm not quite sure what the exact problem is. It is possible though that the audio libs are for qdsp6v2 chips and that won't work with the QSD8250 which our Leo is using.
