I've tried custom android font switcher..tried flashing fonts.. still new to the ATRIX. So question is how do you guys change the fonts.
Sent from my dual core beast..ATRIX
get root, and replace fonts in the /system/fonts folder. rename them to the stock names that are already in there (and i suggest backing up the existing ones)
Try "rom toolbox" hit up the market.. u can install lots of different fonts from there l

I've used "font changer" from the market and had no problems.
With that said, others have tried it and reported errors. Might be a custom ROM issue IDK?...

"font changer" works great

Thanks bro that program is amazing i will keep it forever
Is changing the font a particularly invasive procedure?
I run CM 7.1 Stable and tried using ROM Toolbox to change fonts over the weekend and things got all kinds of screwy. After testing the first few fonts I started having massive force close issues with various programs. Then I ended up boot looping and had to reinstall my saved ROM backup to get things working again.
Are there different qualities in font managers out there?
Is there a way to use ROM Toolbox wrong?
Can anyone pointing me application to change ubuntu font...

Try iFont from Play, that may work.
Don't use ROM toolbox or any other font changing app. They will give u boot loops.
First make a nandroid backup.
Download your font and make sure its the same style as the one you want to replace (normal, bold, italic). It also must be ttf, not otf.
Then using a root file manager go to system/fonts and delete the font that you want to replace. Then paste the downloaded font into the directory and change its name to the font that it will be replacing (ex: Roboto-Regular.ttf)
Change its permissions to rw-r-r and reboot.

First things first, YOU'RE DOING A FABULOUS JOB. Keep up the good work :good:
Now coming to my doubt, Can we use the same above mentioned method to change the font style in the STOCK ROM & KERNEL?
If no then please guide how can I change the font style? I prefer not to use third party applications.

Just go here, and download the font packs of your choice. Then boot into a custom recovery and flash. This works fine on stock rom & kernel, but you need root and a custom recovery.

I used rom toolbox. I went into settings on phone changed font to anything but robots. Picked font on rom toolbox, downloaded. Then restart phone, go back into settings and now pick robots. The font you downloaded will be applied under the robots name. Then restart phone again and new font will be everywhere. Works great
