just provision your phone for mango updates - get to 7712 via zune and then use the bat files to get to 7720.
that is the same thing everyone is doing .. (and what the thread for the HD2 is for... i have 2 HD2s running mango)

Doesn't NoDo sound a bit defeatist! should have be called CanDo....
I don't think NoDo is out yet. All the Devs got were updated SDKs.
The Mobile OS update is still unreleased to public.
i dont get any update in zune
You need to do a 'Check for Updates' in Zune on your PC. That's how I updated mine.
Sent from my hd2 on WP7
Zune software update has nothing to do with any forthcoming update to WP7.

NoDo stands for "No Donut" not "do" as in you are doing something. It's a shot at Google for naming all of their ROM updates after desserts.
Anyhow xbmod and the other guys are already working on this since a few days.

Downgrade Trophy to pre no-do

Please anyone. I'm a newbie. My phone was updated to Nodo and now I cant jailbreak it. How to downgrade the phone to pre no-do (firmware 7004) to use chevron to jailbreak it. Please reply. Just bought a phone and wanna play some games so bad
You can play with 7389 too. No need for unlocking to play games. Just visit the MP and get what you want.

If you want to play some games, get a credit card, go into Xbox live on your phone and order a game like everyone else does.
If you want to try "home brew" games, then there is no way to roll back nodo right now...
Almost sounding like you want to hack a game, and that is a BIG no-no here...
Downgrading from NoDo
Hi,
You don't need to developer unlock your device if you want to play games (there are not homebrew games for now on WP7).
There is a solution to downgrade to 7004 rom, but it's for the advanced users. Doing this can brick your phone and avoid your warranty.
So, for advanced users who want to downgrade to be able to chevron unlock their Windows Phone, you need to download the initial ROM for your device (be careful to download the correct one if it's a branded device). These ROMs can be downloaded in the forum (posts writen by "ansar", different threads for each device).
After flashing it you lose all your personal data that is not synced with your Windows Live account.
Then, unlock the phone, and apply the xap that keep the phone unlocked (to not relock automatically).
Finally you can update your phone to NoDo with Zune.
You guys missed my point . I want to jailbreak it to play game without paying on marketplace . But after a couple of days using the phone I guess some free apps sastify me. And I think I will secure it to make sure it can get the Mango update. But just asking, is there anyway to jailbreak Nodo or downgrade the Nodo updated phone to build 7004 to jailbreak. Thanks
downgrade from nodo
Yes there is a way to do this.
Can you tell me if you have NoDo (7390) or the small security update deployed after NoDo (7392) ?
You can know this in the settings menu of your Trophy.
Because if you have NoDo (7390) you can downgrade to 70xx with Zune, in the update menu (restore).
But if you have updated to 7392 after NoDo, if you restore via Zune you will downgrade to the previous version (so NoDo 7390) where you can't unlock/jailbreak. The only way is to install a stock rom to get your phone like when you have bought him (7004). An user named Ansar have posted all the stock roms in this forum.
u use goldcard(up video)
It is quite frustrating that up to this moment, NoDo seems invincible to be jail-broken. I saw lots of work on IPhone jailbreaking but I don't know why this flame is missing on Windows Phone 7. Perhaps since it is still OS in development, devs are waiting until getting an almost complete version (maybe after Mango Update).
If you updated it yourself, you should have a pre-NoDo restore point. Plug your phone into your PC and Restore back.
Can I roll back to 7004? I currently have 7392

Yes you can roll back to 7004 from NoDo.
You have to download and flash the ROM corresponding to your phone (search for the rom in xda forum, in topics posted from Ansar.
Be careful, you will lose all your personal data (except contacts and calendar, synced with your Windows Live account).
i have got a htc 7 trophy on version 7389 i want to unlock it is it possible

Noob WP7 Questions (new phone!)

Heya,
Just swapped my Desire for an Omnia 7. So far so good.
But, I do want to remove the iOS-like restrictions on the WP7, like installing custom ringtones and pushing 3-rd party apps.
Zune automatically updated my phone to 7392 (NoDo, as I can tell fro the reading I've done), but it did back up before the update.
Now, how do I "jailbreak"? just use the Chevron tool?
if not, how do I roll back to previuos backups? I didn't find any backup options in the Zune PC software.
Thanks,
Alex.
All this info is already in this forum and in the Windows Phone forum.
Good luck hacking!

Is it possible to unlock nodo 7392, using chevron?

Any word on DFT Ripe Mango?

Has anyone heard any word out of DFT on a ripe Mango for HD2??
I know there was some speculation that they might not release it until after the official Mango release, so I'm wondering if there's been and rumblings now that the Fujitsu-Toshiba phone was released yesterday.
If I can't get it on my HD2, I'll probably rush to get the first Mango device that hits US shelves, and likely regret it once something better comes out. At lease if I hear something is on the horrizon for the HD2, I'll be much more inclined to wait to see the hardware options.
Hi,
There have been some development, although not from DFT,
check this page: http://wmpoweruser.com/wp7-5-mango-rtm-rom-nearly-ready/

SD support is broke so there isn't any actual point in flashing Mango tomorrow, you can play around with it, but you'll have serious data storage problems as you'll only have a couple of MB to actually use.
DFT/Cotulla have said something about wanting to wait for Mango to be released officially before releasing, but I don't know if that is actually a soon release or something in a couple of months time.
does anyone have an ETA?
On the thread linked earlier, YukiXDA has implied something will be available tonight. Whether they will have rectified the SD issue by then remains to be seen.
I'd say it is coming soon though (and will be updateable )
there a way to get 7720. havent be able to do it yet but i have got 7712 fully working without any bugs
7712 - 7720
Is 7712 working with SD including partition (to allow dual boot Android on SD)? How did you get there?
I have seen some other threads suggesting you can update 7712 to 7720 using Zune, does this work on your 7712 build?

I think this page covers updating from 7712 to 7720 but there are still unresolved problems with SD card/partition, unless anyone has an update

This page covers a new rom starting at 7004 and going all the way through to Nodo via Zune and then Mango when MS release it via Zune. Or you can go from Nodo to Mango via the dev route if you can't wait.
Yeh the SD card gets locked to WP7 but seriously why would you want to dual boot Android and WP7... just pick one and go with it, what's the point in dual booting?

(1) I use for both work and home use and
(2) I am confident enough to rely on Android but Mango is not (yet) fully reliable
Pre-Mango WP7 lacks some features so (for now) I am using 6.5 + Android

AT&T hasn't released 7740 yet for revision 1.4, just for 1.3, afaik
Do you know the revision of the phone and if it is unlocked/developer?
Hi
I'm in NZ too and just updated mine to 7740. If you can edit your registry, then just open it up to HKLM (Local Machine)\System\platform. Change the mobile operator to ROG-CA, save and press the windows key. Then hook it up to your computer and let it find the update. Once it has updated change it back.
Boom - 7740
