Question about upgrading ROM

Hi there,
On my old HTC Diamond I installed everything to phone memory and so when I flashed it I just reinstalled all my apps. However, this time I have installed a large amount of them to the storage card. I don't remember my Diamond's storage card being flashed - so thats not the issue (I will probably remove the card before doing it anyway) - but my question is will my phone still see the installed apps on the memory card and put them in the start menu etc? Or will I be better off just uninstalling everything and re-doing it from scratch?
Also, is the new HTC Rom available in the UK yet?
bump?
surely someone can tell me

Check your HTC site in the UK to answer your own question.
Perhaps you should read more about how a flash works before you try with your HD2. Think of it this way: You have two hard disks in your computer, C and D. With Windows XP on C you installed all your programs on D. Then you decided to install Windows 7 on drive C, which copied over your XP. Do you think that Windows 7 will run the programs in D? The answer is obviously no.
The situation is similar when you flash a new ROM. With a file manager you could see the programs on your storage card, but that is all. You would have to reinstall all the programs for them to work.
Take care and understand everything you really need to know before you do decide to flash.

Install apps on memory card

Hello everyone!
I'm thinking of upgrading to the Legend from the Jade and i read somewhere that apps cannot be installed on the memory card. Is this true? I sure hope not! The built in memory of the legend surely is not enough for the apps that i would like to install in it. Appreciate and thanks for the feedback in advance!
Android 2.1 does not allow apps to be stored on sd card, the forth coming android 2.2 software upgrade does allow this.

Storing Apps on SD card

Hi, is there any way of storing the apps and running them from the SD card on the Wildfire?
Cheers,
Brisnick
I guess you must be new to Android so welcome.
Phones running on Android 2.1 CANNOT store apps in SD card by default.
Only phones running on Android 2.2 would be possible to do so.
However there are a number of ways you can do to enable this function in your phone.
1.root your phone then flash a custom Rom with apps to SD capability or comes with 2.2
2.patiently wait for 2.2 to come...
3. Backup apps and delete them when not in use
4. Live with it..
Correct me if I had missed out anything.

What can be installed without SD-card

Hi
I just wanted to know what operating system beside windows mobile 6.5 I can install on a HD2 without an SD-card?
I know it's the best to get an SD-card for installing something else than WM6.5, but I get the HD2 tomorrow and the SD-card arrives to the retailer on Monday, so I can't wait to get going. I mostly wanted to install Android 4.x.x on it, but from what I read, it's almost impossible to install Android on it without an SD-card.
Welp, you can't install Android on SD, that's for sure, and installing WP7 without it is not a good idea since the OS takes majority of internal memory and you are left few megabytes. You can also install some old Android ROMs which are distributed not through zips, but through special exe files which are compatible with magldr. The rest (which is all the newer ROMs) needs to be installed through recovery which needs SD card to install it.
