Does anyone know of a program for PC users that allows you to flash ROMs from the PC. I need this because my Eris goes into a boot loop when I turn it on and I cant just re-flash a ROM from recovery mode because my trackball is broken. Plus I cracked my screen and I need to take my phone back to Best Buy tomorrow and I want to flash back to stock ROM. So once I flash a new ROM, I'm going to update my recovery mode to the one that doesn't require trackball usage and flash back to stock. So if there is one, what is the program for PC?

It's not a program for loading any ROM - it will install the HTC 2.1 release that was just prior to the July 2010 OTA (Basically identical to Leak-V3) . AFAIK, there is no PC-based general-purpose program that allows you to flash any ROM you want to the Eris (for instance the way that Odin can be used with other phone models).
You might want to try this (RUU) program after starting the phone up in fastboot mode (Send+End together) - the bootlooping might interfere with the ability of the RUU utility to get the phone into oem-78/RUU mode.

You run it on your Windows PC. It is a graphical program (from HTC) that provides copious instructions and pictures. It will also automatically install USB drivers on your PC if they are not already there. (YMMV if you have x64 versions of Windows)
Just follow the on-screen instructions.
Normally, you start it up with USB debugging enabled on the phone, and the (RUU) utility will communicate with the phone and reboot it into RUU mode (aka "oem-78"). Because your phone has a custom ROM - and it is also stuck in a bootloop - you might have some trouble with that part, which is why I suggested that (if the RUU says it is having trouble communicating with the phone) that you try placing the phone in fastboot mode initially when using the RUU. You do that by powering the phone on by simultaneously holding the Send and End buttons (making sure to press the Send button first, and holding both down until the screen lights up).
There are a couple of things which could go wrong with the RUU - but not dangerous things. An examples of this would be driver problems on the PC.
If the RUU utility doesn't work, you could manually install the Leak-V3 PB00IMG.zip ROM using HBOOT methods - so long as you can kind of see the screen in HBOOT mode, and the buttons on the phone still work (trackball not needed).
There are ample discussions of this, and also discussions of alternate methods of manually flashing a ROM ( e.g. the FlashBack21 ROM ) using adb in combination with Amon_RA's recovery being booted - find them in the "All Things Root" subsection of the Eris forums at androidforums.com.
Good Luck - and place posts like this in the Q&A or General forum next time. A problem with your phone is not a development issue.

You came here looking for help - and you got it - so try and pay it forward by providing some details that will allow others to follow in your footsteps.
(For instance, the above posts gave you several different options - did you use the RUU or HBOOT? If the former, did the bootloop cause problems, or did you use the fastboot trick? Did you run into any other problems, and if so, how did you solve them?)

Im trying to update the FW, BUT i cant seem to access the Download mode...
I just get the normal mode with the picture of a Windows Phone USB wire and computer...
Anyone know how i can get to it?

Probably you 've got a blocked (''faulty'') bootloader.
First you have to force Download mode using a USB-Jig. You can find one on Ebay or make one yourself, if you can get hold of a 300k Ohm metal film resistor, following that simple guide

Once you follow these steps, then you can get into Download mode using the VolUp+Cam+PwrOn button combo
i tried to root spica and install recovery,partialy sucseed when i try to boot phone it shows samsung logo and thats it,i can enter recovery mode but it wont let install any rom through it.also i can enter download mode,but cant flash anything with odin-it detect phone start timer but green line wont apear,tried few times to reinstall drivers,tried different usb ports,different fws but nothing seems to work.
help please.if someone can dirct me to step by stem tutorial how to fix this
we cant help you without full information about what have you done. more information needed. also, have you tried to restore your previous firmware by recovery?
Odin needs to see the phone to go green. Uninstall the samsung modem and the other driver. These drivers you can get only when phone is connected to computer in download mode. Than you can delete the driver, restart the computer, install driver and move further. Also don't connect the phone while odin is running cause you might have problems in working with it further, meaning that it can break the driver installed in windows which will take you back to the step mentioned before.

Hello everyone. Recently, I used this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2392762 to obtain Cm11. What happened was when I tried to unlock the bootloader, and used adb commands to execute the files on my root. After I did reboot, the phone wouldn't turn on. No signs of life, can't boot into recovery mode. I've done the tutorial before on this phone, and I reverted back to stock. Now that I'm doing it again it won't work. I think it may be hardbricked. When I plug it into my PC, I can go to device manager and the PC will recognize it as a Qualcomm driver. I really want to fix this problem without needing to call LG or get repair for it. Can someone please provide me with some help with this situation.

by twrp which I started by ADB and something has fallen down, I do not have access to the download mode, it turns on but immediately I get a message that the device is damaged, I manage to enter a hard reset but after pressing ok is the same as the download mode. So how can I fix my phone?

Since I guess you didn't managed to actually flash the file only thing you have to do is to flash stock firmware, on this forum should be a guide how to do it if you don't know how to. And don't try to flash any ROM on your device because it doesn't exist, do a research next time before you do something like this.

Meta mode? What is that supposed to be? Translator doesn't make much sense when it's used to translate whole sentences.
Well honestly I don't remember what is procedure to recover device but I'll look into it and let you know in the meantime you look into guides on this sub forum to see if anything works.
Or maybe contact points, only where they are. Download mode I have no access all the time, it does not turn on.

my K8 (LGX240AR) was hard bricked and i fixed using this guide:
