I was think about how there could be another mytouch device coming next year using LTE[if Tmobile upgrades+merges], recently the Ruby's details were leaked and could possibly be related to the mytouch, or it could be for a new series of devices relating to the Sensation. The MT4G, was Emerald before its name was released officiallyand the MT3G was sapphire, so there's a chance Ruby might be in the mytouch line when released. But what does everyone else expect? Personally I don't think it's wise to get another mytouch device, why? Look at the MT4GS section, it's pretty dead over there...Lot more life here then there, the Sensation/E3D has a lot more development too. And the keyboard mytouches get names not related to any gems, doubleshot and espresso.

I've read in multiple places that it will be called the HTC Amaze 4G and will be pretty much a Sensation +. According to the places I've read, it is 1.5Ghz dual-core, 4.3in screen, 8mp camera, 2mp front camera, there's been mixed writings about whether or not it will have Sense. If it doesn't, I am highly considering switching to it from the MT4G.

I was hoping for be able to try another mytouch, wonder if they're killing off the brand if they merge.
Anything is possible.. but as long its a faster phone and they listen to people's demands.

When devs make this into a ROM I just hope they make a ROM for mytouch then a seperate ROM for the g1 if they have to remove some things to fit into the pathetic ROM partition of the g1 so the mytouch/magic users can enjoy ALL the goodies of 2.1 (I love the animated wallpapers)
The way the community is moving, we'll have 2.1 before that. This is exciting, however.

that is true but now we can get full 2.1 without things that are missing and it will be hell of a lot more stable. Plus it will be faster and stuff like that. But I'm 70% we can get a fully working, 100% stable, 110% faster 2.1 ROM before spring or shortly after this update is released.
What's great about this news, is that Rogers in Canada was so disappointed that google said they weren't upgrading the g1 to 2.1 they are giving all rogers g1 users a free magic so they can enjoy it.

lawlz. I'm guessing they are so desperate to keep people on their service they are giving away free phones.

anyone care to enlighten me how the hell some people are getting 34megaflops on the EVO... am i doing something wrong... ?
I think it was pc magazine that did a mobile network data test recently and they found that here in raleigh Durham ATT's 3g was faster than Sprint's 4g.
The EVO has a much higher screen resolution than the Hero from what I know so that would explain Nanocore. The EVO's resources are being hogged by the HTC Crapware they have the need to install on every damn phone, so once we remove those and get to where the Nexus one is at(Google software only for the most part) then we can do an actual benchmark.

True I hope HTC sees this and gives us options to run their crap or bone stock aosp...
that neocore was unexpected... I guess the hero got a lot of life left in it after all...
At least I can not find a SGS-alike here....

they are indeed fakes, but many of them have very nice features that Real brand names one doesn't offer
at Deal Xtreme you can also find a lot of those
the Android ones are specially good, as you can pretty much do anything you want with it and make you own ROMs
some other with locked in weird concoction of chinese OS might not be the greatest, but offer full features, and more than regular phones doesn't have
many which caught my eyes were among:
projector
tv
solar powered
crank powered
2 SIM
CDMA + GSM
waterproof
etc...
unfortunately all of them came with crappy OSes
however i really like the projector one, it's soooo cool
thank God , there is no
"HiPhone GaGaXy" or "HiPhone Galaxx" or anything else.
If they put in better displays they could be onto something lol
Read some of the questions. The answers are great.
Q. What resolution camera does it have?
A. It has a 0.3 mega pixel cam which gives ery clear pictures for you.
They can copy everything, it is so amusing and crazy. Such a crazy country.
Here are some pictures of the factory where these may have been made from....

Can you believe it? That is their solution. Sorry for such life.
Actually Foxconn makes the genuine Apple devices, not the fakes.

I'm a bit disappointed (as with most portrait qwerty keyboards) That its a low end phone but still, I'm a sucker for qwerty keyboards and I'll probably pick this phone up, hopefully one day they release a high end one.. I would hate for companies to stop making these kind of phones..

My seriously the only one interested in this phone?

I'm interested too...but not much news coverage so far...
I have been looking at the original Defy for a week or so, since first stumbling across iit...but this new Defy Pro is now #1 on my hit list. I'm not great with onscreen keyboards so the QWERTY keyboard on the Defy Pro has me all hot-n-sweaty. Only issue I need to verify in person is the physical spacing and size of the keys to see if I can fat-finger my way around it with some degree of accuracy.
The Defy was the first "smart phone" which seemed to fit what I am after in a phone/pda type device. Even more-so on price. I want unlocked and at minimum Android 2.3.x (I guess that is aka Gingerbread). I haven't seen where the Defy-Original has received 2.3.x and that pretty much puts me off as I can see a time in the not to distant future where 2.2 is no longer gonna work for newer apps. I sense a bit better useable lifespan for 2.3.x and the Defy Pro.
Time will tell I suppose and I will keep an eye here to see what shakes out in the next month. FYI I would likely use the Defy Pro on one of the BYOD Sim card deals out there or I guess I could do a T-mo prepaid...we'll see.

I've been a great fan of hTC since htc desire. i used desire, sensation, h&c one x and now m8,but i think its time for me to say bye bye to them as i was very disappointed with their latest htc one m8. Many features are missing in this set. I wish if i wouldn't buy it. I will move to Xiaomi which is incredible phone with big battery life. If i can't get good feature in htc which made them different from other smartphones then obviously I will be looking for another smartphone which has good battery life. Xiaomi will beat all the other phones..I dislike htc one m8..
Cya.....
Tell us, what's missing? Give us few examples. Baterry? It's better than many other phones.
