I got the new version of sprite that fixes the SMS problem for restoring. I have restored my image and now my activesync mail is broke. No problem cause it will redownload the mail, I just have to resetup the parameters right??? WRONG.....When I try to reselect the inbox to sync, I get an error that it couldn't delete the old mail so it won't proceed. Does anyone know where those mail files are stored for activesync mail so that I can manually try to delete them?
Confirming that you had mail in your Pocket ActiveSync Inbox prior
to doing the backup? If so delete it now then do another backup and restore, that should fix it!
Do u still get this problems with the current 3.0 version of the back-up software?
After i load one of the ROM and restore my backup, the hotmail & yahoo mailbox could not work. So I create a new account for both and now i have duplicate mailbox on the TF3d .. any idea how to resolve this problem ?
any one ??
Which rom did you flash? I've heard that a back up from one rom and restored on the next can create issues. Were your yahoo and hotmail accounts visible in the messaging app (programs->messaging) after the restore and before you re-created the new accounts?

Yes, it would help to know not only what rom you are using, but also what application you used to backup and restore your information. Do tell...

When switching roms you always want to restore with merge level 1. I am 90% sure if you do a hard reset and restore with that merge level you will not have this issue.

Update; Tried to just add gmail account as a normal gmail account not outlook and even that will notwork PLEASE HELP!
So, I'm running Tiamat 2.2.1 (Moray) and it's pretty nice. One thing, however, that I wasn't aware of before I flashed it, is that they removed the stock email client. I don't mean GMail, I mean the email client that you would use for accessing Exchange or some other "corporate" email server. Any suggestions as to how I get it back? Is there an APK for that?
I'm also running Moray and my email app is there and working as normal. Did you wipe before you flashed? Try wiping then flashing again.
Sent from my Xoom using xda premium
No, I didn't wipe, the thread said you didn't need to...guess I'll be trying that...
I just flashed 2.2.1 and I have the email client, work just fine.

Well, I'm really confused, because I just wiped and re-installed, and about an hour later, and I still have no email client. I'll download a new version and try again.
I literally just got done wiping and re-installing and I still have no email client. Like I said, I have GMail and just about every other normal application, but no email. I also can't add a corporate email account. I didn't remove the email application (as far as I know), because I was actually using it. I just noticed one day that it wasn't notifying me of email when I knew I had email, so I decided to check things out. Sure enough, no email client.
just get it from the market
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it's on the market. If it is, it's very buried. If it is on the market, do you have a link?
I've looked and looked and can't find the native email client anywhere (as I suspected). I'm not sure why it would be gone. I was using it and noticed that I wasn't receiving notifications, so I went to see if the account was set up. Of course, the account was gone, and there was no option to add a "corporate" account (or whatever it's called). I checked my apps to see if I could add an account that way (or see what was going on) and the app was gone. Until yesterday I didn't have the Pro version of Titanium Backup, so I wasn't able to freeze apps. Is it possible that there is no native email client in Moray and that you guys pulled it from a Titanium Backup? I've tried wiping (data, cache, Dalvik cache and I formatted /system) and re-installing, and that hasn't helped. Even before I restore my backup, there's no client.
I'm on moray 2.2.1 also and still have email and exchange. Here are my apks from my system/app folder.

Thanks. I'm not sure what the deal was, but I ended up wiping and re-installing with a newly downloaded copy of Moray. I have the email client now, but I forgot to move my Titanium Backup over to the external SD card, so I lost everything. Oh well. The only thing I can think of, is that the second add-on (to replace the UA string) screwed something up. In the past, I was always putting that on, right after flashing the ROM. This time, however, I didn't do that. I can't imagine why that would make a difference, but I'm no expert.
I had some similar issues installing 2.2.1, make sure you have the latest CMW installed, it also won't wipe anything in your sd card directory when you perform a wipe.
I had some issues installing Tiamat with CMW 3.0 (which did see my external SD card), such as installing the mods to fix various issues, I also couldn't flash my Xoom properly. Installed the newest CMW 3.2.0.0 (R4c) for Xoom, everything works perfect now.

I've used 2.2.1 for a long time without pb. Now I'm on 2.2.2 all works well including gmail.
Hi.
As title says Incoming phone calls not associated with contacts.
What ive tried:
* restore to previous date via google contacts on the web - unsuccessful
* restore to previous twrp backup - this works but as soon as i sync with google it brakes
* again restore to previous twrp backup but before i sync i export my contacts and delete all contacts via the web to import then sync. - this was ok but as soon as i sync with google it brakes again.
im out of ideas, anyone who has a better one to solve this?
Phone is a Galaxy s4+ i9506 running Cyanogen 12: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...nogenmod-12-0-galaxy-s4-lte-gt-i9506-t2988464
My guess for when this started is after running Contacs Sync Fix https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.ivary.ContactsSyncFix&hl=en - which was supposed to fix contact sync errors. I did have a backup of my contact data but as soon as i setup a google account and it syncs it brakes. In retrospect instead of running this app i should have just removed the account then readded it. You live and you learn.....

1. Wipe all and flash a STOCK ROM.
2. Go to GMAIL and log in your account of Google. Modify or delete the contacts you wish (like in the pic attached). Don't restore any backup coz seems corrupted or with bugs.
3. Log in to your account of Google (gmail) in your android and you are done.

thanks for your reply! I however did a slightly different option instead of installing stock rom i wiped sys/data and boot flashed with cm and finally when restoring from titanium backup only selected a few apps being careful NOT to select anything to do with call log or contact.. sofar so good! Thanks for the hint
