[Q] Kernell - EVO 4G General

What is a good kernell to go along with
[Kings-Rom]Kinged SHOOTER E3D [sense3.0??? Thanks...

Stock one works perfect but if you like overclocking etc then I would recommend golden monkey. It also depends which version of the Rom you are using since I know gw switched up the kernel a few times

Over all i want to know comparison please if y'all can help! If you had to choose which one would be better CM7 or RoyalGinger 1.6. I am on CM7 just trying to see if its worth getting RG1.6 help me out here!! Thanks in advance!!!!!
CM7 Nightlies
Thanks I'm really liking it but I heard the RG looks great and saves battery life

I switched from cm7 to royal Ginger 1.6. Very fast and responsive. Moving from screen to screen is quick. Apps load up fast. Actually i am having trouble using up my battery everyday before charging it at night. Sometimes it will last two days without needing to be charged. Coupled with faux's latest kernel Cfs lv I have not run into any problems so far. Signals are good and strong.

I moved from CM7 to RG1.6 and can say it runs a bit faster and good on battery.

I have to give that a try sometime. faux keeps releasing a new version every day...i am tempted. I have always been fan of pure google experience (and then customize on my own)
use the new CM7 (7.0.2) its very stable.

If you want pure aosp that is fast as hell without the extra crap... get faux's rom. Its amazing.

Don't really like questions like this but every rom is different. It is all personal preference. Your phone is different as well it may not like certain roms. You should do try out different roms to see what your phone likes best.

Running faux's AOSP rom! Fabulous!

which one is better...
I think what is being asked here is not which one is better, because that answer would be based on opinion; the info sought here is what are the ups and downs of each ROM so he will know which one would be best for him.

The only way to know based on your own preference is to try them all. It only takes a few minutes to change roms. I suggest you try them all for a few days each ans go from there.
My personal preference is pure Google. I hate extra stuff. Some people need a little flavor so CM is great. Just try them all and make your own choice

I would say that is the best thing to do try them all... I'll be honest with ya out of the GB experience i like what Royal Ginger has done lately and the new Cm7 is really really stable good experience.. But i always and i mean always go back to Royal Glacier (mysense) i know i know.. but it's fast as hell in my eyes.... and i have ALL of my phones functions... anyways, to each his own..
Cm7 is og and royalginger is bg meanning baby gangstar

+1 more.
I use his roms, I have tried others and the AOSP just isn't appealing to me for some reason i dont like how they structure the menues and such. My personal opinion. Great battery life as well.
+1
I've been on MikFroyo 4.61 for a while and I don't think there's a better 3.70 Sense Rom out there. Deserves a spotlight for sure!
Im new to mikfroyo only been on it for about a week. Im loving the rom, Fast and stable

good setup

well ive finally decided to make an account on here and would like to say thank you to all the devs that continue to support the supersonic but i am wondering what are some good rom and kernel combos i really dont like sense much and im currently running miui with tiamat 4.1 mainly looking for good customization and a nice smooth feel.
Use the Neon BT theme with that MIUI. It's the shizzz

Jared's ICS rom, and you can fall back on CM7 [if you need camera and/or 4G].
Im using Deck's ICS ROM, its running amazing, don't have a huge need for the camera or 4g atm, but I really do miss all of the CM7 tweaks, I can't wait for CM9!!!

What is your favorite Sense Rom?

Your favorite sense ROM? Best all around. Just 1. Thx

Energy's latest. I just love it.
As u can see by the large amount of suggestions, all of which are good, its tough to pick one sense rom without considering versions of sense, etc.
My advice.....download a bunch of em. Buy titanium and get familiarized with it. Make sure u use amonra and fully wipe between flashes. Go crazy and flash em all. I don't have an unusual amount of free time or anything and I have tried most of the suggestions here.
It's hard to choose so I have all of these in Nandroid. Right now I'm using Shooter Nightly, its super smooth and pretty good battery life using the anthrax kernel.
Sense 1.0
*Barebones(Stripped down sense rom A+)
*Classic Preview 6(Super smooth)
*SOS Swag on(Super smooth as well)
*Brads 4.67 rooted stock rom(Good for when I want to run a 100% stock rom)
Sense 2.3-3.5
*Shooter Nightly 1.0(Perfect 3.0 sense no complaints what so ever)
*Vins Original RCMix3D Runny 1/24(Super smooth for being a sense 3.5 rom
*Radiance RC5 (Really good rom it keeps getting better and better with each update)

most reliable one Ive used is MikG
My wife is quite pleased w/ Swagged Out Stock. I think that's Sense 1.0.
When I rooted her, my plan was to give her a Sense ROM and then go to CM7 if she didn't like it, but so far she has been happy.

MikG 2.60 is the best performing one I've used. Shooter and Synergy both gave me problems. (If it wasn't obvious, I like Sense 2.5+.)

I have seen a lot of people raving about swipers ICS MIUI. I downloaded but haven't flashed yet. What makes it so great? I will probably have to give it a try tonight. I just hope its a smooth set up. I hate having to flash gps drivers and stuff like that. But if its that good I guess its worth the setup time.

Exactly. Once again, NOBODY can tell you what the best rom for you is. Everyone has their own wants/needs, and not to mention the same rom will not run the same on every single device. Try a few roms, and find one you like, simple as that.
I use the Miks rom and it run flawlessly
I've been running nitrous for awhile now. The dev is extremely good at taking requests and keeping everyone updated on his progress.
Thanks a lot for the suggestions. I tried nitrous but the battery life blew dogs. I'm in SOS 1.9 ics I love ics are there any other good ics roms out there.

I'm partial to MikG 3.11 (or the latest). Stable, smooth, decent features and stays pretty updated.

Anything MIUI has been awesome for me...So customization & runs fast, everything works besides 4g but I cant get 4g in this area anyways...Plus the themes change up the look of your phone alot!! BTW Why is ICS Muiu running Mason kernel the best? Does GPS camera video ect work?? How do I get video or movies from my phone to work on my TV thru QQ player?
n00b-rom with tiamat 3.3.7 is the best rom around its so smooth and everything works

n00b-rom!?!
I am an OG Epic user, and the biggest (only?) complaint I had and have seen with our ICS ports is that the lack of battery life renders the phone unuseable. Is the same the case with the Evo? I see a lot of ICS roms and folks here seem to like it, but I've flashed the Evo's on my account with some roms lately that score unbelievable battery life so I'm hesitant to change.
