On my 6/23 kingdom Rom I have the option to restart in normal, hot restart, recovery, and there's one more I can't remember. I just wanted to know what will happen if I do a hot restart.

Try it my friend, it wont blow your phone up. it will simply restart your phone and pretty fast if I do say so myself. It just clears out cache and is similar to a log off in windows pc. Next time go for it....lol
So it won't erase any info like contacts or text messages etc...?

its just a restart... they would never put something like that on your screen that will erase stuff...lol
Go for it man! lol
It restarts the OS without power cycling... if that makes sense. It's faster than a normal reboot, but still gives you a clean slate.

It does restart the OS but I suspect that it is not quite a clean slate. Something about the boot process is skipped, assuming it was already done.
I had an instance of a repeatable bug with the Freedom kernel that killed all audio on the handset. The only way to clear the problem was a full reboot. A Hot Restart did not clear the problem.

No just fully power down your handset and power back on

I'm wondering why this is happening, it has done it before but 2 times within 3 hours. I'm beginning to worry... Any ideas?
Oddly enough it seems to do it right when I pick it up to use it.

Oh yea, completely stock.

I had mine reboot on me today as well, it's the stock rom with root. I didn't pick it up. It happened while I was tethered using the free Wireless Tether App and the phone was asleep.
Yea, I don't even have root.. it has done it 2 more times since my first post.

one of my co-workers has been having the same issue. (completely stock as well). Mine has rebooted a handful of times, at least once that was possibly at the exact time as my co-worker's. He's called in enough that they are offering to replace the phone.
Me Too
My phone has been rebooting more and more recently. I suspect it is very poor signal causing the phone to work too hard, triggering a reboot. My will get to 109 degrees for no particular reason, and then start rebooting.
My warranty replacement (refurb) is expected today.
Hi guys this is the first time I have encountered this. My phone had rebooted 4 times already and I don't know what's causing this any help?

I had that problem with my first Vibrant. The problem will get worse. Take the phone back and get a new one.
It might even start freezing
Did you restore any old "system data" after switching ROMS or restoring a nandroid? Have you tried to run the "fix permissions" script in ROM manager?
I've had the phone since day one. I can't return it now can i?
My phone randomly reset on me one day sitting on the table and went into a loop like this. Battery pull fixed it.

FYI, the next version of glitch is possibly going to have a modified recovery that will have options to clear voltage settings and things to save us from problems like this
Do you know when it's coming out?

V12 is out and does have the new recovery...
Some have been having issues with lag using the default deadline scheduler. CFQ has been great for me, I just change it on a reboot for the time being, have not gotten around to using the script that will allow the change to stock but it's out there...
Question:
Does Glitch kill the battery? I lowered VC to the minimum. When I first rooted and used the other kernel, I got excellent battery life. Now, TERRIBLE.
I did flash Glitch V12.

Recently every couple hours the phone runs at like 2fps. All animations run about that speed but don't freeze. It also causes my soft keys to stop vibrating on touch and accelerometer locks. Any ideas?

There is maybe somthing running in the backgroud which does that!
I wondered that but nothing was ever in the runnin list but nothing I stopped helped. If it keeps up I suppose i'll factory reset and then possibly sbf. On cm7. Flashin new nightly over didn't help. We will see.

Im running cm7 nightly now and not having any issues at all. does it happen at any certain time or after you use a certain app or something?
Usually happens after I wake the phone after a couple hours. Seems to have gone though.
Sent from my MB520 using xda premium
I would say if it keeps up maybe try factory reset then if that don't help a sbf might be in order.

This shows after a full wipe? Do a wipe if you haven't.
I thought it may be Google backing up your apps but not street a reset.

I have the same message as well, usually shows up after the phone has booted up and have an Internet connection. Yesterday I wiped and reloaded 4.3 from stock and I still get the message. Maybe it is one of the Google apps causing the message or the Android Backup?
I think I might have found the cause of the "Sending..."
This user here has the same issue and he manage to compile an app to detect the toast messages. He traced it to "com.android.stk" which is causing the message to show up.
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10659734/detecting-toast-messages
com.android.stk is the SIM Toolkit app. If you have TB, you can freeze it as you can't disable the system app through the "Apps" page.
