Remove dual-boot (go to CM7 only) - Nook Color Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
After using stock for a bit, I realized I will never, ever need it. I've currently got the SD dual-boot going from ikingblack's instructions and have a CWM backup from my stock install, so if I need to go back I can.
How could I remove dual-boot and go CM7 only?
PS Also, I ALWAYS boot into CWM with the SD card inserted. Not holding any buttons. Did I miss a step?

I'm wondering same thing. Been running dual boot with cm7 on 16 gig card for a week and found I like cm7 better then stock. Will it work if I make a CWM nandroid, flash just clockwork to emmc with a spare 8 gig card then install my 16 gig card with cm7 on it and boot into recovery and restore backup? Seems the easiest way without setting everything up again but not sure if it will work. Also never flashed recovery yet from rom manager, should I do that first? Appreciate any help.

Two options pop up in my head.
1. According to many members, Titanium Backup will save your work (apps and settings) or
2. Re-fresh installing CM7 on the uSD card.

removing sd card after flash?

I'm currently running cm7 on my nook and am a flashaholic on my evo 4g. Anyhoo.... I just downloaded nookiecomb 0.4.13 and the instructions say to remove sd card after flash. Once I remove it can I put it back in? Or do I have to format the card afterwards? I really don't want to format it but really want to try a honeycomb type of rom. Also what's the smoothest and most stable honeycomb rom available? I'm finally getting this nook thing down but hitting some bumps along the way. Thanks in advance,
Dave

If it's the SD card with the original Clockwork recovery image burned on it, take it out and put it away incase you ever get into real trouble. After you do that put in a fresh card, download Rom Manager and flash Clockwork Recovery to your new SD card. Once you have Clockwork on your daily card you can Nand and flash as usual..... Beware with the Honeycomb roms though, I was reading that they wipe out clockwork recovery when you flash them to EMMC (hence why I say to put away your original recovery sd for emergency use....the nook gives priority to booting from the SD slot over internal memory making it nearly impossible to brick)

[Q] Reverting from HC to CM7

Question.
I decided to try Deeper Blue's HC. I was running CM7. I loaded the image on my SD card and used ROM Manager to load HC off the SD card.
Everything worked fine but I overlooked the fact that flash and YouTube don't work, so I decided to bail on HC and recover my backup I made of CM7.
The problem is, I can't get the Nook to boot into recovery. I also can't get the recovery to work in ROM Manager when I select the backup file I made today. I've tried removing the SD card. I've tried it with the card in. I've tried powering the Nook down and restarting with the volume button held down.
Can anyone tell me how to recover my CM7? Or at worst, load a new CM7 flash?
Nevermind. I just noticed the handy dandy utility INCLUDED in HC just for this reason.
Restore is running now.
Thanks!

[Q] How do I start fresh? I would like to run HC 3.0 or 3.1

I am relatively new to this but I have tried a few versions of phiremod.
I actually had the dual boot Phiremod with HC running on my Nook for a week and loved it and want to go back.
My current situation:
I did an emmc bootable HC and now I am stuck. I have no stock boot, I have Clockworkmod 3.0.2.8 on an 8gb SD.
I tried to flash to the dual boot Phiremod and it didnt work. I am not sure what i need to do to prep for it.
Do I go back to stock first? If so, how?
When I tried to flash it, I just keep booting into CWM.
What I am looking for is someone who can explain to me how to get back to the basics and then get a version of HC on my nook. I loved 3.1 that I had even though it was just a little glitchy here and there.
Does it boot up to HC without the sd card inserted? If you are trying to run Phiremod off the sd card I would just redo the sd card. If you are trying to get back to stock use this thread. It will put you on 1.0.1 then once you boot up you can do a system update and it will take you to 1.2.

[Q] Problem with MIUI

My MIUI rom is MIUI-108050 version and though it's pretty nice when working, I can't enter the Market without it crashing and I can't get it to enter Bootloader or Recovery. Titanium Backup nor Clockwork Recovery nor Rom Manager are available - for some reason they are gone or not accessible. Titanium Backup shows in my App Manager, but it doesn't show in App tray. So my Nook Color is stuck with a barely working MIUI Rom. Does anyone have a suggestion for getting to a different Rom or for getting back to stock?
I briefly tried MIUI and had pretty much the same problem. I read somehwere else that you have to do a complete wipe when you first install it. I haven't bothered going back to confirm if that works, but it might be worth a shot.
Make a new SD card with CWM image on it. I have had great success with eyeballer's image and instructions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1030227
Then load zip file one of the roms on SD card. 1.11.4 is the latest MIUI rom available at miui.us (my rom of choice)
http://roms.miui.us/
Turn off nook. Load SD card. Turn on nook. In mounts and storage (if it isn't there on initial.screen, tap the power button to go back) format data, format system. Clear cache. Then install zip file of rom.
If my directions don't make sense, post back and I will give you a very detailed list of steps.

I had similar problems with MIUI on NC. I finally had to move to a different ROM. I currently running Phiremond 7.1 and it is very stable.

Question about backing up stock NC ROM

I am used to rooting and nandroiding ROMs, at least on my phones: Hero, OG Evo and 3D Evo, but at this point I'm not rooting my NC. I want to back up my stock NC, which presumably has 1.3 on it, as I got it for Christmas. I ran roustabout's script to stop OTA updates. I might want to try the update, eventually. Hence I'd like to back up the stock ROM I have now, and be able to restore it, in case I don't like 1.4.1. Thanks for any help in advance. I did search, but since I'm not rooting, wasn't sure how to do it.
BTW, using Racks' multi-boot from SD card, I can boot into either CM 7.2 (Kang) or ICS. It does what I want, and runs pretty fast from my SD card. And, if I'm at B & N, I can remove my SD card, boot into the stock ROM and still read for free!
Just make a bootable clockwork card and use the backup option and you will get a nandroid of your current set up.
