How can I tell if my phone is updated ?

So I got my mytouch today swapping out my g2 for it and I wanna root it but im not sure if it was already updated . Any info is appreciated . Thanks in advance

Go to:
Menu/Settings/About Phone/Software Information
If you have Android version 2.2.1 - you good!
(Software number 1.17.531.2)

Dam it huh ? Ok thank you .wondering if I should go back to the g2 or keep this there Is alot more roms and mods available .but I have some time so I'll wait and see . I do like vanilla better than sense tho. But the mt4g has a better processor and front camera .o its a hard decision guess I have a decision to make .thanks for the info

my htc wildfire is not rooted. and i make a mistake. i wipe cache and data reset factory. please help me to install rom or root my htc wildfire. i cant use unrevokeed because i have no installed rom in my phone.

You will still have a rom its just you have lost all of your data

[q] contacts problem in i5800xxjpf

I have a galaxy3 i5801ddjg6. When i updated the firmware to i5800xxjpf,my contacts was not showing some alphabets in the list like"b","w".....can anyone just guide dat how could it be rectified...????

Wildpuzzle v08

I was on cyanogen and checked out zur wildpuzzle.I installed the Rom with wipe Cache/data ans tryed the aero Theme cause i want the Sense apps and the lockscreen transparent.but now i have no transparent lockscreen and i cant change it.i reinstalled the Rom and the Problem wer still the same.btw theres no gingerbread layout too.what did i wrong?

to get the gingerbread keyboard, when writing a message, long press on textbox brings up input method, choose ginger

When i want to flash my x8 to havr 015 baseband when i open the x10 flash tool then the java error appears ... i install the latest java but the error appear again ... can someone help me? I need that baseband for custom roms!

...I am 2 months here and I have open 1 threat to share sth I made and YOU HAVE OPENED 2 THREATS ON 1 HOUR... FIRST SEARCH GOOGLE THEN SEARCH XDA AND THEN MAKE A THREAT....
USE YOUR HEAD... I hope it works...

Im also a noob but im good with searching things first Just be friend with googles and xda search box and you'll discover a lot more than you think

So what I have to To type in google or xda? I don't know wat to type with that fuuckin java...
