I have following problem :
I was trying to update Go weather and since then ( 3 days a go ) I have on the top of the screen the icon that says "downloading" . I was trying everithing to stop without succes.
I was trying from aplications manager , empty temporary memory ... not working
I uninstaled market ... same problem .
Now I have market but I can't see it in aplications manager
I am using 2.1 + root (link to SD )
Last option is to instal again 2.1 but it takes a lot of time...
Any suggestions?

always backup fresh stock os this is use for sm time to restore...
so i dont ue stock but i have back on sd.... download stock rom and restore with full wipe have fun guya
or first try wipe andcatch clear.. that is option

hi everyone
just wandering if anyone can help , ive just got an htc hd2 very pleased with the phone but ive got one small prob , after finding this website and others for apps and such , when i try installing them on my phone by running the cab file , the phone seems to start installing , but the screen goes blank and then nothing , when i press the end key the quit opera sign comes up , then thats it nothing , so i havent managed to install anything yet , really getting frustrating , can anyone advise
have u tried downloading the cab file on ur pc n then transferring it across to ur phone then open phone explorer n click on the cab file and select location for install hope that helps

yeah ive tried that m8, i download to pc , transfer it to the phone then ran the cab file and nothing , i even downloaded skyfire on my phone to see if that worked and nothing , im getting annoyed with it now , i got this phone thinking i coud put things on it , but its not happening

yeah the rom is 1.66.405 , just tried another , and the screen just went white with an icon in the bottom corner , when you tap icon it comes up with the opera browser options , i just exit and thats it , do you just explore the folder where app is installed , then tap the setup file ?

i put the cab file on my hpone select in to install it the says select location to install phone or card it installs it says succesful then normally appears on tthe start menu try hard reset or a new rom

Are you opening opera? there should be no reason opera is opened when you do this. Are you using file explorer to find the cab file, then clicking it?
i use file explorer to find file , then i tap the setup file then opera seems to launch , the only reason i do that is the screen goes blank with the up icon in the corner , and when i tap that and exit it says do you want to exit opera ? i just dont whats goin on with it ? any ideas
Are you successfully connecting to activesync on your PC? You need to have activesync installed on your pc to transfer and install the cabs.
so i cant just put the files on the phone then run them from there , they have to be run from active sync ? coz im not sure how to do that ?
I've installed WildPuzzle ROM v6 and most of the extras, i just have a few questions that need answering...
1. The alarm clock looks odd (funny grey square thing) how can I get this to just stay as the original alarm clock icon?
2. Orange home is obviously for the orange network, so will there be an update/version which removes the icons/apps that don't work for other networks (such as Orange Plus, Orange World, Social Life)
3. I tried installing a couple of java games onto the wildfire and they wouldnt work. can anyone tell me where i can get java games that do work?
4. Can 'Key Contact' in Orange Home menu be modified so that options are added to directly call / send a message to the person you've chosen, instead of having to manually do it every time?
5. i want to replace the lock screen. i've tried a few free apps in the market, but they either dont work, or adds a 2nd lock screen on top of the existing one (so you have to unlock it twice). how do i go about replacing the stock lock screen altogether?
ANY HELP WHATSOEVER WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

when orange home is loaded, if you press the arrow button at the bottom, it brings up a menu which has them orange apps in
its not a big issue or anything, i just wondered if they could be removed or modified to work?

yes but how to use it ,i partitioned and ext using rom manager and the app2sd program i downloaded from market still dont open and the mobile became sd dependant and wen i remove the sd phone not booting up.i reflashed and gave up..

you cant and dont need the app2sd program for wildpuzzle v7... it is 2.1, when you install an app it is automatically moved to the sd with wildpuzzle rom. you can see app2sd is working if you look at your phone's internal memory, it should have 100mb+ free space.
well i just uninstalled an app and it freed up 2mb from internal memory and i have abt 52mb internal now.

did you flash the move dalvik cache 2 sd patch?

i installed dalvik2sd although i did before the reflash and now i cant flash anything off it asit says cant mount/dev/block after using rom manager..
now im on another sd card and it says

Your new SD card needs to be turned into a goldcard in order to flash anything onto your phone
You need to partition your SDcard after first install and reinstall rom to get more space, as the second install would move many files to ext-SD but keep essential system files on phone so it appear that apps are still on phone.
Jus in case did you turned off the verification check in the recovery mode..

ok i finally got android on my phone with allot of problems, now my new problems :
1. i installed energy rom and put on my card : leofroyo- 1.0 and now it boots android BUT when i do for example lock screen(you know the dial down button) it goes black screen and i cant get in on except when i pull out the battery...
2.When i connect it to my usb/pc i cant get a connection in activesync(im running xp sp2)...
3.I cant open camera or it will go blackscreen...
4.I cant scroll through my programs etc cus it opens anything that i touch
these are my main problems right now
main problem is that it does not detect my sd so i cant delete the andr and instal another 1 :/

i am using SGS beta 3.0 on my i9000
when i try to install a .apk file
it shows the install/cancel page and then i am not able to click on the INSTALL button
then when i restart my phone and quickly browse to that file and try to install i am able to install it
but if i am late....like 30sec...i still have the same prob
y is this happening???

sounds strange! are you sure you tick in menu "apps from unkown sources"?
or try a full and clean wipe

yes i hav tick that option coz when ASTRO Backup shows the same install/cancel button i can click on the install button without any problem...

i am under white rabbit 1.6, and i want to have the function to send automatically sms when a call is aborted by me
this function was natively on stock rom
and i have the apk ( quick sms.apk ) and an other file : ( quick sms.odex ) , i have taken these files of my backup of my stock rom ( system/app/.. )
i tried to push these files to my new system/app , reboot, wipe dalvik cache, it doesnt work
i tried to just launch quick sms.apk, it says : 'install in progress...' and then 'application not installed'
so, i like this function, can you help me to install it ?
