[Patch]2.10.605.1 to 2.11.605.0 - Thunderbolt Android Development

Seems dumb to download a whole rom. Note: A LOT of the apps in this patch are are all just changes in the androidmanifest.xml versioning. This is for the stock deodexed 2.10.605.1 rom.
No need to wipe.

Flash via recovery.

Excuse me for asking this question. I wiped my phone when i went to 2.10.605.1 and i renamed the zip file to PG05IMG.zip and used HBOOT
How do I apply this patch? Do I rename it to PG05IMG.zip, power down. hit power on and down button and choose recovery?

If I'm not mistaken you need to be rooted with clockwork recovery installed to flash this patch.

if you have Clockwork recovery on your device already... Then DL the attachment in the first post, put it somewhere on your MicroSD card, boot into recovery (a few ways to do this... examples: 1. Use an app like QuickReboot from market, or 2. make sure you do NOT have a PG05IMG.zip on the root of your MicroSD card, boot into hboot and select recovery)
Then when in Clockwork, backup (just in case), then choose to install ZIP from card, then navigate and select the patch ZIP file you downloaded.

Am I Bricked or what

So my phone is stuck in HBOOT ALL THE TIME NOW. I downloaded the new Kings Alliance Rom and followed the instructions. Once I go through the HBOOT Bootloader it sees my image but and then gets to one part and has an issue with the image so now im stuck.
What am I doing wrong?
Run a RUU back to complete stock and see if it will boot to stock
When it does re root and flash whatever ROM you want.
where can i get RUU and the instructions? And thank you

I put the links in the post.
Take that .zip file [make sure it's named PC36IMG.zip] and put it on the root of your SDCARD.
Go into the HBOOT and say yes to running it.
Then root with the root link I gave you.
Ok the RUU one said page not found but the root one did work.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=838448 is the link i got with root but nothing with RUU.
Thanks for helping me out btw.

Here's the RUU thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884060
You want "PC36IMG_SuperSonic_S_Sprint_WWE_3.70.651.1_Radio_2 .15.00.11.19_NV_1.90_release_161482_signed.zip (202.01 MB)"
Rename it PC36IMG.zip [make sure it's NOT PC36IMG.zip.zip]
You're welcome.
So let me ask this, with the rom i have downloaded the new one (the one i crashed with lol) is it supposed to be named PC36IMG or PC36.IMG or PC36IMG.ZIP?

No.
"Aftermarket" xda ROMs are supposed to be flashed via your custom recovery (ra or clockworkmod)

I see your post now saying name it PC36IMG.ZIP i just checked my rom i downloaded and its named correctly, it tells me wrong image type when it goes through the process.
So what do you think would cause that? I am still downloading the rom you said to get btw.

No only name the RUUs pc36img do NOT name ROMs you download off xda as that.
You can flash those in your custom recovery. (Go to your bootloader, select recovery, select flash zip from sdcard, select the rom and flash)

Furthermore, the ruu is only to return you to stock.
To ensure that your phone is good to go.
Then reroot.
Then go into the recovery and flash whatever custom rom you want how I said.
so you are saying whatever the download was named originally then thats what i should have left it and installed it as?
Yes, leave the Rom named what it was then boot into recovery and flash the romnamehere.zip from there.

The reason I wanted you to run a ruu is because you had said you flashed something and it wont go past the bootloader.
Running the ruu returns it to complete stock.
Ok now i am redownloading Netflix-AllianceROM-2.1....seems i transfered the original to the sd card and that card is now blank it appears talk about frustrating. after it downloads ill install it in recovery with that name just as it is...fingers crossed it will work.
Download File
Rename to PC36IMG (all caps) +++++++THIS IS WHERE I CHANGED THE FILE !!!!
Place on root of sd card
turn off phone
Put into bootloader power button/vol down
Bootloader will read the update
Follow prompts yes & yes
reboot phone!
Remove file from sd or it will read the file over and over everytime you boot yur phone!
Enjoy oldskool simple flawless recovery!
Done flash away!
So I followed those instructions but I think the file he was talking about renaming was the recovery file or something else? Anyway it confused me.

Now you need a PC36IMG of a custom recovery. Flash the recovery by putting the file on the root of your SD card. After that boot into recovery and flash the Rom of your choice. Do not use a ruu. Find the prerooted version and flash it in recovery.

Find the amon_ra 2.3 recovery in the EVO development section. It is in the first post. You need the PC36IMG.zipPut that file on the root of your SD card. Hold power and volume down to get to the bootloader. It will search for that file. It will ask you if you want to apply the update. Press volume up for yes. When it finishes it will ask if you want to reboot. Press volume down for no. Now you are back at the bootloader menu. Select recovery and now you should be in your custom recovery. From here you can flash custom roms.

You are doing something wrong. Make sure you put that file on the root of your sdcard. Meaning not in any folders. It has to be named exactly like this. PC36IMG.zip Sometimes operating systems hide the filetype so if you added .zip to PC36IMG try removing the .zip. Also make sure you only have one PC36IMG on your sdcard at a time.

Help flashing radio

I'm having trouble flashing the radio. Well I don't know where to start. I have downloaded the radio I want in a zip file but I just don't know what to do with it . Everything I look at says to use recovery but I don't see any options for flashing the radio. Do I unzip the file ? Where do I put it? Phone is unlocked not sure if it rooted.
The reason I an fishing the radio is constant drop of data connection foot hours at a time.

The Noob guide at the top of the general forum is always a great place to start.
If you have a recovery installed, you reboot to recovery, install the zip from your sd card, then reboot. Done.

lol. Heres a basic guide.
Do you have a recovery installed? If not download the apk form 4ext.net and install then open. Then install the recovery. Then go to bootloader and pick recovery.
Download the rom, copy it to your sd card (pick usb mount in 4ext and plug in your phone to the computer)
Wipe ALL your data from recovery
Pick install --> install from sdcard --> find the rom and press ok.
Have fun.

Yes 4ext has a free version but you have to download from here --> http://www.4ext.net/get.php?apk
Install the apk and recovery
Remove the update from your sdcard.
Then boot into bootloader then recovery

New TWRP version.

you should update if you are using cm14.1, cmupdater can cause bootloop with twrp 3.0.2.0 or older

I was struggling with this this morning. I was stuck in Recovery but managed to get back into System by doing a Reboot Bootloader, then Start. Then I downloaded the new TWRP and flashed it, all is well now. Would have been easier if I had access to a computer this morning.

Put phone into bootloader mode. Hold shift and right click to "Open command window here" where you have ADB and your TWRP file (assuming Windows PC). Type "fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-1-shamu.img". Easier, quicker, and potentially safer IMO.
