Yahoo Fantasy Stat Tracker - Nook Color Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know if this works on the nook with any ROM? I am about to buy one, but wanted to check to see if anyone has used it on their nook.

I don't see that listed in the market. I see Yahoo Fantasy Football, basketball, etc, but not Stat Tracker....

Sorry, it is not an app. From a pc it opens what I think is a flash player window and real time updates the fantasy scores.

Then the answer is no. You cannot run PC software on it, only apps....

I understand it won't run PC software. I maybe could have explained it a bit better. In my browser from my pc I click on the stattracker tab and it opens what I think is an adobe flash or shockwave screen that updates the scores live.
I know we can run flash, but if it is shockwave is that something the nook can do?

Yes, that is different. If it is Adobe Flash you should be able to do the same on the website if you have flash installed.

Okay,so i found flash in the market, but there was no install button. How do I get flash then?

Uninstall the market update so you are in the old market. Then search for Flash and you should have a button.

Yeah, I got that all handled. Now I guess I am going to have to wait for the first regular season game and see if it loads.

As already mentioned, use Skyfire. It works as I use it for some of the Facebook apps too.
Zynga poker wont work through Skyfire... or should I say it does but its really slow, also tried famrville, and that too grinds to a halt.
Saying that most of the games on FB are slow on my desktop pc, so I dont think the hd2 can run most of them.
Be interesting in anyone else resolves this.. I'd love to be able to play FB poker on my phone.

Your original post asked whether the HD2 can run Facebook flash games.
The answer is yes, but with another browser to those installed.
If you complain that it only works if you install something else, then you remove the entire point of having a Smartphone.
great.
apologise if i sound rude because as far as i know Ie support Flash so i am out of curious why Ie dont work for flash game.
cheers

Unfortunately Flash is one of these systems which has a baseline standard, but different types of coders create slightly different types of apps, some work with IE, some don't.

Why is the Market not complete on 2.2

I installed the new FRF72 which is supposed to be more complete correct
But I still have to run an adb command to make the market see my installed apps, and to be able to see protected apps in the market search
Is this going to be a default fix in the final froyo version, just doesnt seem professional I have to tamper with the phone to get apps showing
Just a curious thought!
Thanks
You're not using an official release

Not expecting it to function fully, but it is being downloaded off googles servers, and everything else works so was just curious why is it the market that suffers, im sure its more complicated.
Thanks
Because publishers set a max version number that can download their application.
Search and you will find more info about it.
May I ask which ADB command this would be?

its not suffering...its not out yet and is considered unstable with possible exploits. this is probably why protected apps are hidden from the market till final release.

Publishers can choose to copyright their application, which blocks any unofficial update.

[Q] How to update to the new Market?

I haven't received any notification for a Market update.
Any clue on how to accomplish this?
I'm currently on VillainROM 2.0.
You won't. Normally Google pushes them to all android phones. But you need to download the file individually.
There is an .apk somewhere in the forums you can search and install if you can't wait for it
may be try this thread

I found it to be very laggy and slow compared the the older market which im still using,i also don't like the Windows 7 style layout either plus you cant see your own apps on the screen unless you press the meu button.

Hmm, true true. It is indeed a rip-off of the tiles system on WP7. But, I dunno about you, this is refreshing. Hehehe, something about the tiles on my market feels nice!
Another thing - the new market can only download one app at a time, on the old market you could select "update all" so that's another bad thing.

When theres more than one update, if you look in the top right corner, there is an 'update all' option.
How to update to it officially? I mean when I open the old market there is no notification for updating!

From what I remember, it will hapen and you won't even notice until it's there. One day you will open the market and it will be the new version.
I tried it but I'm unable to download and update a single app. The progression bar is loading but it never starts. I guess I'll wait for an official release.
By the way, does Google automatically updates rooted phones (or phones with a custom ROM), because I'm currently with VilainROM2.0....I thought we had to update manually.

Market Not compatible - No app paid

Hello,
I know there is tones of topics about it, but i really cant find any solution about it.
The most annoying problem is the not compatible apps, that should be compatible. I use the market on my computer which show paid apps (my phone doesnt show it). And normal apps like Vlingo are shown not compatible.
Worst some app i installed before are now shown not compatible anymore.
I changed room from lightning to Revolution (2.7.1), but still get the same probleme.
Anyway, how can it be from my phone if my account on computer show it not compatible. It must be from my account right ?
Im in china now, (bought the phone in France) and my google account is French. Can it be a problem with the localisation ?
Another weired thing on my phone, Market 3.1.5, when i go to Filter app (sorry i dont know the name in english for the option) to choose what level we want to show.
I must select FOR ALL before select Level3 and next must select level 3 to select level2. Shouldn't it be the reverse ? I mean, first people would like to get the most safe app, Level 1 and after get less safe, Level 2 - 3.
Is it the same on your device ?
Thanks all, i'm very tired of it, and it ruin my android experience... got SGS2, and cant install regular apps...

Its insane that google don't make any fix for this, at least let people choose if they want to download the app even if its says its not compatible...

It's the creator of the app that decides which devices should be able to buy/download their app, if they have decided you can't have it or buy it that's their decision.
If you want an app to be available and wonder why it's not showing for SGS2 send the developer an e-mail and perhaps they'll tell you why it's not available.
Have you changed the LCD Density? I did and a load of my apps came up as not compatible until I reverted back to the standard DPI and rebooted.

I tried change it, the defaut was 240 and I read that it was actually the standard, so i tried to force it again to 240 but it didnt change. (or its not the right number ?)
If you're using a Chinese SIM card you will get the Chinese version of market which doesn't have paid apps. That's why they are shown as incompatible or not shown at all. You need to use your French SIM or use marketenabler with the old market if you want the paid apps.

Yep I figuered that out for the paid apps, but i still got uncompability with the marketenabler...
Anyway thanks for your answers
Marketenabler doesn't work properly with the new market. You have to downgrade to the old one.

[Q] Will SuperGNES work on CM7-flashed Kindle Fire?

Whenever I try to open a ROM in SuperGNES, it shows the controller and a blank screen for a second, then immediately goes back to the ROM selection. I've tested it out on several ROMs, so it's probably not a bad ROM. Any ideas?
EDIT: I just realized I put this in the wrong forum - I meant to put it in Themes and Apps. Can a mod move it for me?
Wouldn't work for me, either. Go with SNesoid.
