Alright, I just installed the Cyanogen mod on my Wildfire, the thing is, I don't have any wifi networks around me, (My Internet is cable).
And I can't tether because that costs a ton, already got charged $400 because I didn't know tethering cost money.
Does anyone know anyway to get any applications on my Wildfire without having access to the Internet?
There are only a few ways to gain access to internet. First is to connect to a WiFi connection so maybe you could try going to popular shopping malls which provide free WiFi. Next the other way is using data connectivity aka 3.5g to access internet but only use it if your plan comes with a data bundle. But maybe you can try thetering your cable brodband from your computer and use your phone to receive it as an ad-hoc network.

And how would I do the tethering thing?
The last time I used tethering it has cost me around $400.
Hmm .. I don't think its possible to thether from your computer..

Google PDA net or barnacle wifi tether or froyo does it out of the box in mobile network settings
I am traveling now, for the first time since I got my wifi Xoom. Staying at a friend's house, who has a secured wifi network. Much to my surprise, when I booted my Xoom, it identfied the network and logged on with the correct password (which I had not entered) .
When I booted my Xoom for the first time at home, after purchase and logged in to my Google account, the Market downloaded all the apps that I have loaded on my Droid Incredible (running CM7) . I guess that it must have downloaded the wifi networks and passwords from my Dinc too. Pretty cool.

Yes, all of the wireless networks that are saved on your google device are synchronized to the google cloud service. Same goes for installed apps. I was similarly floored when I first turned on my Xoom and it was practically set up for me right out of the box.
somehow mine isnt, im using X10 though.............
Oh my friend was freaking out when I went to use my Xoom for te first time in his house and I said"oh I don't need the password"

What do you mean "somehow?" You can turn the option off.
Which option would that be and is it on by default?

When you first startup your device after a wipe or when you first get it there is a screen that says Backup my device or something like that with a checkbox, and it explains that it will store your settings and wifi passwords so you can sync them to any of your devices.
Very helpful in my opinion when I get a new phone it just worked and same thing when I got the Xoom.
Now that the lockout is over and football is just a few weeks away; how difficult would it be to get the NFL app working on the A500?
I downloaded the apk from a thread on xda, but I couldn't get it to work...
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Don't think this will be an option. It's a Verizon only app and it verifies the phone is on their network before running. I tried to install it from my phone and it wouldn't work. Couldn't verify network.
The only Verizion exclusive app I can get to work on the tablet is the Indy Car app.

Thanks for the response! I had it working on my at&t samsung captivate last year. Although, it was wifi only (which I don't mind). There was a way to bypass the network check, but I can't remember how I did it...

I think this question started out as an A500 port idea then ended up saying it will work on this handset but not that - If you are trying to get the pp to work on your phone - use Market Enabler from the market to spoof your phone on Verizon - works for me here in Australia.
as for the A500 - we have to wait for someone to work out how to set locations another way?
Gotta find a way to fake a phone number for the tablet for the market enabler app to work, but it looks like it'd work if we could fake a phone number
Unless someone has a better idea

It's more than just a phone number. Verizon verifies you are a customer on their cellular network. With no way for the Iconia to connect to a cell network, no way for app to verify you are a Verizon customer. While you can use the NFL app with WIFI, it still verifies you are on the cell network.

I have the apk installed, but when I open it, it just says loading and then closes out... I tried the marketenabler.apk and changed it to Verizon and still no go :\
I hope we can get this working. It would be so badass

OK, I found a new apk and got it to load up. I accepted the license agreement and then it directed me do download a update in the market... this is when I didn't see a update button in the market.
Let me know if anyone wants the apk and I will post it from my comp later.

Update: I changed the build.prop and now the market shows the update button. But, I get a "request not found"

Heres the latest apk: http://www.MegaShare.com/3506031 Have it installed on my Evo 3D but of course i get the usual only for verizon users message. Hopefully someone can get this to work this season. Im more than willing to donate to whoever does.
I hate to bust everyone's bubble but Verizon has made streaming video a premium service this year that requires a monthly subscription to vcast video as well.
No streaming, but here's the official NFL application for tablets.

If your phone has a hotspot feature where it shares its internet connection by creating a wireless network then yes.

If your phone has Bluetooth DUN capabilities (read: sharing the Internet connection over Bluetooth), then you may be able to use BlueVPN in the Nook to use your phone's connection. I have used it in the past, both with CM7 and CM10.x, and while it has the downside that some applications may keep saying that there is no connection available, most “important” apps would work (e.g. Browser, Gmail) so it can be a lifesaver sometimes. Keep in mind that the Nook does not have a Bluetooth antenna, so its transmission range is very short and you will need to keep your phone close to it.
