It says failed yes stock 2.3.5 rooted I tried the airplane mode trick and the 4g trick nothing has worked

My nexus won't update prl or profile so if I do dialer code 72786 and select yes(which I've done before)the phone won't activate because it can't reach the activation system. Be careful!
I don't get it but if I can't update prl or profile, it won't re activate. Had to do manually and the prl and profile STILL wouldn't update.

i don't know if this is a coincidence but i haven't been able to update my prl in months but today i just started trying different things. i went into *#*#4636#*#* selected cmda auto prl as preferred network type hit home button to exit. then i went into update prl and it went through successfully.

I've had seven nexus s devices throughout the 30 day period from may 8. None of them would ever update prl or profile. Although I select home only so prl doesn't matter much.
I used the quoted trick and the prl updated successfully. Again, not that it matters...I haven't tried updating the profile.

Using BuglessPete's ROM, this worked for me; had to reboot the phone after the PRL call was made, but PRL now shows as 60681. I had 60680 before.

I've been using that prl for 3g roaming while at work for the past couple of weeks. Today though I lost my data connection. Still can make calls and text. Tried reflashing prl, rebooting, everything. I use roam control, and when I switch to home I have normal sprint service with 3g data. When I switch back to roam it gives only voice and text and says sprint can't login?
Anyone else having issues?

My guess is the 3G is down on that roaming tower or Sprint didn't pay their bill.

Someone else posted the 0001 prl stopped working so i'm guessing Verizon is having pessaries right now. I also had friends on Facebook post that at&t was having issues all morning.

Sorry to exhume the thread, but 11115 definitely hasn't been working for me when roaming. Is it actually working for anyone?

baseband: .33 right now
ROM: this one at the moment.
also tried this one, this one, and this one
also, its the new white nexus
what I've done so far:
I've tried this on the .33 baseband.
I then found these two zips (1 and 2) to help automate the process a bit, and use those to try baseband .24 and .27 with no change.
then I tried the instructions on this site
and finally, I am now on this rom I mentioned above, which is supposed to have everything done already...
I Know for a fact my area has LTE, as my roommate gets 4G on his S3 every day.
does anyone see anything I might be doing wrong?

Nexus 4 only supports LTE band 4.

are you sure that your roommate has an lte enabled sgs3? the tmo lte enabled sgs3 only went on sale on june 5th.

did you update the APN to fast.t-mobile.com? I can't tell in specific so ill just give you a quick run down.
On multiple devices i've done:
1) flash broadband
2) clear caches/factor reset
3) flash AOKP (or CM 10.1)/GAPPS and clear caches
4) flash franco kernel (not necessary but i prefer it) and clear caches.
5) update APNs
6) change to LTE/GSM in phone info settings.

I have done all of this. I have the T-Mobile lte APN with IPv4/IPv6. I have also tried just IPv4 or IPv6.
O have also tried creating a new APN with the correct settings
Edit: the settings in the *#*#INFO#*#* menu is LTE/GSM auto (PRL)

well, most of houston has lte http://ltemap.org/tmobile . did you change the phone info to lte/gsm by dialing *#*#4636#*#* in the phone app? select phone info, change the wcdma preferred to lte only. if you see the 4G icon show up, change the lte only to lte/gsm.

if you did everything right, then you just dont have lte in the area youre in. id try to check for lte around other parts of houston

Can anyone help me out with this problem? Just updated my cm10.1 this morning and I'm no longer able to get 4g service where I usually do. Thought it was maybe on Sprint end but at work a coworker I'd able to get 4g service. Reflashed back to stock rooted touch wiz to see if that would solve the problem but unfortunately it didn't. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you return to s touchwiz ROM do you get 4g service?

If your friend has a sprint LTE device and picks up LTE in the same spot you are at, your GS4 should be picking it up too. If not go to settings/more settings/mobile networks/ change network more to "CDMA/LTE" if it isn't on that already. Another thing to do is update your Prl and Profile then reboot. It should connect after taking these steps.

switch it to hspa+, i know in nyc they are working on the network in a few placrs, maybe they are working on lte wherever you are.
Have you checked the APN settings? From that screen tap on Mobile Networks and then Access Point Names.

if the apn was wrong, it wouldnt connect to lte. the same happened to me last night. i called tmobile and customer service told me there are no issues. then i called back and talked to tech support, and they told me that tmo is working on the network. several hiurs later data started fliwing through lte.

I did all that I have rasta 4.3 backed up I restored it and still says network error only on 4.3 its ****en weird even changed the apns to regular h+ still network error changed it back to fast.T-Mobile still network error refashed it cleared data and cache installed gapps still network error I restored back to rasta 4.2 everything is dandy. It was working fine early when driving to work .

if it was working fine when you were going to work, then its probably just a tmobile issue. as i said, last night the same happened to me. i even got my bars to turn blue(sometimes), but no data flow. it started about 9pm, and data started flowing again around 4am.
Have 4g when not on call. 1x on call. I have a us unlocked running on verizon. Latest twrp. Have tried Venom and ice. Loafing leesroid now to try. Advanced calling also messed up. I have no wifi calling option. Called verizon and all turned on. Have tried format data. Not sure what to try next. I'm s-off and unlocked. Any ideas?

Also when I ran ice was first time I got video options on call. Grayed out tho. I'm sure I missed something but can't find it.

Remove VOLTE/Advanced calling from your account. Flash the RUU. Factory reset using the stock recovery. Activate advanced calling from the phone itself (not the online verizon portal). Reboot phone after 5 minutes. Test.

So, go to website. Remove advanced calling and anything volte related. Then do phone and let phone reactivate everything? Just want to be clear. I respect your advice and have used your stuff on my phone for awhile.

No luck. Turned off everything. Wiped phone. Formated data. Used your ruu.exe to flash. Still 1x on calls and no advanced calling. Activated using phone only once rebooted. Any ideas?

With stock software lost the video option on all. Was always grayed out anyway. And when rebooted the option to activate was grayed out. Did not get the verizon page to activate like on ice rom.

Did it all again. This time worked better. Got new activation pages never had before. About activating after 5 minutes. Did that. Says added new features. But 1x still on calls and no video options on calls.

So after using dottat ruu.exe for . 22 and seems like after it settled I have volte working again along with wifi calling. Never seen a toast before that I was on wifi calling. Also HD calling working. No notifications for HD buy can hear the difference when I call people who have edge 7 and iPhone 6. Still running complete stock setup and hoping will stay when I flash Venom. Doing a backup for sure first. Still no video calling.

Good deal.. I'm strongly believing that the VZW/HTC volte issues have finally been put to rest. This was a problem on the m9 as well and is no longer.

I've tried this 5 times with a couple different ruu's with no luck. I first noticed this happening after I tried flashing leedroid nougat Rom and got no service on it so I restored my backup and got service but no data on calls, just 1x. When I go to the vpn, in the list of bearers, mine just shows ehrpd and LTE. My gf pixel shows gprs, ehrpd, hsupa, hspap, hspa, hsdpa, LTE, umts, and edge. The rest of the vpn settings are the same. I have also noticed when I go into settings, about, network that it sometimes shows "3107" in the operator section. Any other ideas?

Damn, I hate fastboot lol. Had a hell of a time getting my computer to see my 10 last time. Plus I use it so little I have to watch YouTube videos and how to every time I have to set it up again. So just wipe those two then reflash RUU?
