For future reference, you extract the zip file which is provided in the Android Developmental section then you go into system/app

You may have to install to your system folder...
If so...
Put on the root of your sdcard
adb remount
adb shell
install /sdcard/blockbuster_htc.apk /system/app/
My guess would be nope. But lets see what the OP says when he tries to install.
No it won't work

i don't know where to get those files from or even what to do. this is what i'm going to do. i'm going to flash a rom that has that included then i'm going to titanium backup the blockbuster apk. once i do that, hopefully tb backs up everything that is needed to run the apk then i will just do a restore of blockbuster after i flash back to cm6. i will probably try the new nightly to see what that new lock screen looks like.
Yea there are a couple of drm files that your going to have to copy over as well. If you download the ota alone its easier to pick it out the stuff you'll need.

Bootscreen: http://www.mediafire.com/?ph1fb37x495moeq
Bootsound: http://www.mediafire.com/?kvovzrjr99b8ixx
(remember to rename the bootsound to PowerOn.mp3 and back the old one up!)
Enjoy and please provide feedback!

Thanks! Do you have any requests for other bootscreens?
sorry for this, haven't tried changing bootsound, basically how do you change that one? thanks man
Back the original one up in /system/sounds/lgeSounds/PowerOn.mp3, download this one, rename it to PowerOn.mp3 and put it in the same place.

Hmm... To tell you the truth, I have no idea. I am using the stock v20g ROM + root and tweaks btw. You should go find the special tutorial for applying bootscreens on the V or your ROM.

Applying the bootanimation is cake. I should have been more clear. The sound file folder doesnt exist in the path listed above. Ive tried various different things to get this to work and asked about it before in other threads. But nobody knows.
Thanks for the reply guess Ill go rip apart the stock rom and see where virgin hides their sounds.

Ah, I see. Yeah, guess you gotta do that if the sound is not the same as the original LG one (you can check that out in a recent video on my YouTube channel).
First and foremost, credit goes to football for leaking RUU_Mecha_GINGERBREAD_S_VERIZON_WWE_2.10.605.1_Rad io_0.01.78.0802w_3_NV_8K_1.41.exe, here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1225752
This has been tested and confirmed working. I am rooted and so far everything appears functioning as it should be. I extract this using Process Monitor on Windows.
This is an untouched RUU, rename to PG05IMG.zip, transfer to root of your microSD, and flash in HBOOT.
You can follow my tutorial here to restore Clockworkmod and (re)gain ROOT: http://themikmik.com/showthread.php...TC-Thunderbolt&p=106153&viewfull=1#post106153

While I pulled the ROM.ZIP out of the RUU EXE myself, rather than downloading yours...
The steps in the mikmik thread you link do work perfectly with this.
Thank you!

I'm trying to downgrade my buddy to 2.2.1 so he can have root and I just learned that megaupload was shut down and that's where the link in the tutorial is uploaded to. If anyone can help with that file I would appreciate it.
WHATTTTTTTTTT??! WHY ARE ALL THE UPLOAD SITES BEING TAKEN DOWN!!! I'm sad now

I have enough place on my personal website but I'm not sure it's legal to redistribute original T-Mobile firmware.
EDIT : I'm uploading it to file factory. Give me 30 mins...

That's not a crazy concern, but sharing of such things is no problem at all on XDA and sites like it.
Here we go : http://www.filefactory.com/file/c2ab6b2/n/PD15IMG.zip

Umm, Android is open source. Why would there be anything wrong with sharing a ROM? When you walk into T-mobile and ask for an update they don't charge you for the software. Also, HTC releases source code for the kernel. It an open system. That is the point of Android. Well, that and Google making money.

Android is open source but some software shipped by T-Mobile inside the ROM might not be.
Example : HTC sense is closed source.

And i'm going to go out on a Limb and say that most people have a Google Docs account which can store .zip files, or a DropBox, or Box account which can do the same.

Sorry to bother but FileFactory isnt working anymore because everyone is using it. Could you upload PD15IMG.zip to mediafire or another file hosting website?
I can do it but you will need to wait tomorrow. Need to go to sleep for now...

You're awesome man. Just a tip, your use betterbatterystats and check your kernel wakelock. If you have the fd waking your phone a lot then you should also disable it.
For some reason the file is corrupted... can you just upload it as a db? Or possibly ZIP or RAR?
EDIT: Seems to be a problem with the XDA forums right now. Hmmm... Dropbox?
try this:
