No MIUI rom will ever be bug free, it is a constantly changing rom.
Just look at the change logs every week.

I am on the same rom and loving it, what bugs are u talking about? I was on a lot of roms to include Darkys as well and MIUI is the most stable one for me. Had serious issues with latest Darkys. Reboots, chrashes and what not. MIUI is playing nice so far and is being updated every friday as well

Well for me at least sometimes settings dont stick i can et it to use the android keyboard and later it uses the swype keyboard instead.
The phone does not vibrate on incoming calls.
Network data sometimes doesnt connect until it randomly comes back (not a modem problem i have a compatible modem with the 850Mhz band which is what i need and its made for CM7/MIUI + i have tried many different modems)
the camera quality is a LOT better on darkys rom.
the data enabled setting itself sometimes turns off by itself.
those are the ones i can think of right now.
HOw to install

Galent-MIUI is amazing if you do a 100% wipe before installing it.
I've had it for a month and the only real bugs I have had were the ones the developers had admitted to. I'm running Twooey III now and very happy.

Hello,
Can someone post a decent 2.2 or 2.3 ROM for the ZTE Blade (LCD version)?
There are only 2.2 custom roms which are still in alpha.
You can find them in Modaco forums
"Its slow, but it boots and so far is fairly stable.

That's for the Pulse. Wrong phone...
First, that is the pulse rom, not the blade.
Second, those gingerbread roms are not suitable for end-users. They haven't had much development and have many problems. The pulse one does have basic functions working and is usable, but the blade one doesn't even have basic functions (no RIL, no sd card, wifi is broken in the latest verison). Please do not encourage people to use them.
I've got Paul's Alpha 4 Froyo ROM working on my OLED and the girlfriends LCD. Everything works as expected, apart from the FM Radio.
http://android.modaco.com/content/z...ad-online-kitchen-heavily-fixed-chinese-leak/
It's not available to the general public, but if you go 'AD-Free' on Modaco you get access to the online Kitchen, and can generate your own version with common features added/subtracted.
Or there is a prebake of alpha 3 available. If you flash one of my themes over it, it fixes coarse location which is the main fix of alpha 4. I even uploaded stock theme with location working for alpha 3 and 4.
Eph.

Yep, we're invading. I've been a member here for a while, but not posted much.
None of the current unofficial 2.2 roms are what I'd consider stable enough for serious / functional day to day use.
One of the main issues is that the lockscreen randomly freezes for many people in all current Froyo roms, even if you switch to a pattern unlock. Some users have reported that installing the app "Widget Locker" from the market is a possible work-around solution.
Fortunately there's some light at the end of the tunnel. Softbank are officially launching an Android 2.2 version of the Blade today! Their version is called the Libero Softbank 003Z.
Hopefully that will prove a much more stable / compatible version of Froyo than the present leaks, which people can then base more usable roms on.
Modaco's alpha 4 is more than stable i would say. I get the lockscreen freeze very rarely. Maybe once a couple of weeks. The other day twice in a day, but never during a call or anything. Just can't wake from sleep.
look over on modaco, a Android 2.2 build has been extracted from the chinese lcd version of the zte blade. hopefully we can get a sucessful port soon.

Much better than the stock 2.1-1 B05 that my wife has on her stock Blade. Daily use, I'm happy with it. Might grab R5 when the link works, but it doesn't really matter. I've not found this one lacking.

I used to wonder the same myself. To me it just looked like Android with an iPhone interface.
However I tried it and found things like...
toggles in the notification screen (configurable)
battery stats that go into a LOT of detail (configurable)
full skinning that allows you to mix and match theme elements on the fly (configurable)
built in call/sms firewall (configurable)
built in application security w/password (configurable)
They're just off the top of my head. There's so much more that it does above and beyond regular Android. Other than the configurable toggles in the notification screen (swipe left/right from notifications to get to a full screen of toggles) I've not seen anything that you can't do with apps, but it's all there and all works together.
Also, in my opinion it has the best browser available for Android.
There's more, but I guess you're getting that it's very configurable

im still skeptical about moving on to ICS for the vibrant just bc i need a phone that works 100% correctly all the time... so im still on froyo.
currently running bionix fishman mod final2 w/ bali-x @ 1.2ghz
essentially froyo tweaked in many ways w/ the appwidgetpicker
along with the miui camera, s.gps2 for gps fix, setcpu, and bln
is anyone else flashing any additional necessary files when they flash their roms??

Fishman is good. My needs are different. I need a Rom that is atleast 2.2.1. So the capacitive buttons dont blind me on each screen press. I'd recommend ultimate rom or biwinning with the sense or sgs2 theme. I also use Bali undervolt kernel. If you haven't already test out the modems for your area. For instance for me its KB1.

CM9's 16B is so functional that I put it on my Dad's phone, and he says it's running much better than it did before on Bionix. The only issue he and I have been having is the GPS, which never has worked from the beginning for us anyways, and very minor things (like the menu for toggle widgets is called lockscreens or something).
ICS is pretty awesome. You may want to give it a shot... I recommend the Icy Glitch kernel to go with CM9.

when you say never worked, do you mean it as GPS ideally should? or even to the low standards of how the vibrant's GPS is supposed to work?
personally since everything works 100% as best as it possibly can right now on my vibrant with bionix fishman mod without a hardware gps fix, i'm very reluctant to move onto ICS if the GPS wont even lock within around 30 secs or so like i can get it to do with froyo especially if it is something i need eventually
minor things like menu names i can definitely deal with, but if froyo's GPS works better overall compared to an ICS rom, i see absolutely no reason to make the switch with this phone. if i need ICS that badly, i will get a new phone

It is amazing, honestly just as perfect as any other ICS custom ROMs, just that with the usual CyanogenMod quality. I only have to change its default kernel to have CIFS,
but apart from that everything is just great.
Homescreen is greatly customizable, notification widget is back (great miss from ICS AOSP), also I can finally toggle "mobile data" from notification.
Big pro guys, really.
Wow, this is great. Is this also available for the i9001? (i'm not familiar with the device IDs)
AWESOME!!
I agree with Nutzo, this is fantastic. Smooth, fast and customizable. I have been playing with it for the last 2 days and (touch wood) so far so good.

It's best practice.just don't flash it with to low battery.
That's the best ICS release out there. Anyone know which kernel is suitable for over clocking ?
Well i am using stratosk's semaphore kernel - but for

Friend has been using the i9000, and I have the latest RC of cm7 on it.
She says that once in a while the phone will either reboot, or the screen goes dim and becomes unresponsive and she has to pull the battery.
I will be letting her have the phone as a gift but I want to flash a rom on there that is just rock solid (dont care about features). Just SOLID/stable as she doesnt know to flash any updates and I wont be flashing any more updates to it.
I was thinking about just putting on the latest nightly of cm7 but I dont see any changelogs for it to see what was fixed between the RC and nightly.
I was also thinking about Gamerzrom.
any more suggestions?
I'm running TiramiSlim 2.0 ICS, based on Slim ICS,with Devil Kernel, for a couple of weeks now,
smooth, stable, good battery and no issues
use cyanogenmod 9 RC2. Bug free basically. As for the freezing, are you using stock kernel? Cause it may be a hardware error. My friends phone had it after ics upgrade and all i had to do to fix it was install a custom kernel and bump up the voltages for the 100 and 200mhz frequencies by 25 - 50mV.
Flash her a stock rom, no rooting or fiddling.

No it won't there is no ICS for our phone, just go for AOKP M6 don't look any where else
ok so I've been suggested so far:
tiramislim with devil kernel
cm 9 RC2
aokp m6 (probably the one i've heard least about)
and a stock rom (I thought custom roms are supposed to remove bugs?)
to answer your question, yes it is on the default CM7 kernel
Yep.Custom roms always faster than stock ones. But if we are talking about bugs,hmm.. i dunno..Stock must be better at that.
If your friend is not using her phone too much,i mean just making calls and sms also music etc, flash stock rom and give ut as it is.No need to root.. Pure stock.
I suggest you to flash 2.3.4 JVQ.Then change CSC by typing
*#272*imeinumber# to XEU
Get latest open europe stock firnware from kies. With that she can get latest updates easily.

Its doesnt matter whether its GB or ICS, thats is why I am here, asking for THE MOST solid release of a rom in general
Had Dmore before cm7. found cm7 has less bugs
I'm gonna give a second vote for CM9 RC2. Before jumping to Jellybean, I used the CM9 nightly builds with the semaphore kernel. For me it was always rock solid, and still blazing fast. No bugs. Cheers!
I didnt think cm9 was this popular and considered so stable yet
ICS Elite 1.4.1, it's very fast, stable and bug free. It is also the final version of the rom so there will be no more updates anyway.

Then install titanium to delete unnesecerry apps/bloatware

without intending to offend all girls on xda (who probably DO care about tech stuff - which is why they are here), sadly most if the girls I know are more concerned about the colour of the phone than which rom it has.
So, if said girl is fitting my terrible stereotype, then you'd be better off asking her which is her favourite colour and picking a suitably themed rom of the right colour! (as long as it is stable enough).
For all girls who DO care about tech: I apologise for perpetuating such offensive sexist rubbish! I SALUTE you!

The slim roms allows you to have good battery and small memory footprint, then you add apps to it. Since a week, it's rock solid, I got half day extra in battery life too with my usage (mix of movie/media/3G surfing during 30 minutes commute each way + 20/30 min daily calls)
