Nope. You'll only hard brick if you use the OTA they pulled from the servers. If you use kens gb rom you can downgrade without worries.
Forgot to mention the hard brick only happens when you try and use an older SBF

You all do realize that Samsung NEVER releases any changelogs for any of it's devices. The closest thing to a changelog is the OTA pop up that comes up saying there's a new update available, that's all.
And like all other firmware updates this one probably only has bug fixes, Samsung and Google app updates and maybe few driver updates. No offense, but what else do you keep expecting out of the same 4.2.2?

It's not that they're not interested, Grand is already selling millions and it's one of the best selling devices is Asia. I'm sure they're interested in making money. They simply stop upgrading our devices because they want us to upgrade to Grand 2... The first Grand is a product of market experiment, just like the first Note. Its sequels are continuously refined. The first Grand, just like the first Note, was made to build a userbase. Once they fullfilled that objective, it's dumped and release a sequel.
As always some bug fixes and updated apps. No other differences found till now. Phones a bit laggy now.

Try to remove bloatwares after rooting..
If you dont want to root, try disabling apps in Application Manager which you dont use,(say Svoice,Ssuggest etc.)
It may help to a limit!

You can root and remove many Samsung unwanted apps and also Google unwanted apps. Then again if you want to return to stock if Samsung gives another update then revert back.

You think you are gonna get a different answer if you post this question in different threads? If you read about Magisk, you would know it only works with unlocked bootloaders. Maybe in the future someone will get something to work, and as soon as that happens it will be posted here in the forums..
So is this version rootable with engboot or not? I cannot find a definite answer.
