Hi all,
I've had a look on the Xperia arc and I like the ROM very much. I have tried to install some arc APKs, but it's likely only the launcher that works correctly.. So my question is, is it possible to port the whole arc ROM to use with our beloved and allmighty HD2?
I've seen this posts like "who needs Timescape when you got Sense" etc, but it is just about customization.. cuz Android is such an open system
Is anybody willing to give it a try? I used to compile and install some Samba and FTP server on linux but it is ages ago.. But I can do the beta testing. I guess some more people would love to see an arc rom among CM7, MIUI and Sense
Cheers,

Just wanted to know if anyone has compiled the AOSP with Galaxy S kernel and put it on their phone?
By this I mean has someone built a ROM completely from scratch, no grabbing libraries, APKs, system data etc. from an official ROM?
not yet but there are many people (me included) who would like to see something like that! wesgarner (from the cyanogenmod team) has written on twitter that he will probably build a cm version for the galaxy s but that will take some time...
i have been playing around with the sources for some day's now and i am thinking about trying to build something myself. i have however to little experience to do it all by myself. it would be cool if we could start something here ...

Hi People, i came with maybe a stupid question but i need to do it.
I currently running Racht's Floyo 0.10 and the rom is so stable and smooth but how everybody know there are some bugs in that rom some of them like 3.5mm Jack and video are useful to me so i decide to go back to a stock SE but there is a thing that is kind of boring in the SE stock Eclair and is the Contact, Dialer and other stuff related interface and with the Floyo 0.10 this part is so nice but i dont know how to call it if is an APK, and module ported to the rom or what.
So i like so much if you can tell me what it is and if i can install or use it in the Stock Eclair ROM
I leave some screenshots of what i'm talking about that i like so much in Floyo 0.10.
Thanks in advance
I believe that is just the stock Android dialer/contacts/etc. App. It may be possible to find them online and put them on your phone.
You should try this...X10 dialer for X8.
Thanks to you 2 for your answers I already found what is the name of the "app" is wycontacts froyo. But anyway i flash my phone with recent version of Racht's works.

Another 2.3.3 rom? Why so many? we just need one fully working, that's it.. xD
Ratch and Owain are doing a great job, we don't need to port another rom..
Edit: Forgot to mention Jerpelea (and other devs too, also greats developers..)
sorry J, don't get mad with me xP
xCyanogen Shakira bugs:
Sound Recording
Video Recording
FMRadio
ANT+
Srom bugs:
Video Recording (See troubleshoot for solution)
Audio Recording (See troubleshoot for solution)
Fm Radio
ANT+ i think too
Bugs are same. Srom is based on owain's ROM
Yeah i dont say anything about our developers but if you see some of them has problems and they are all major like no camera and other such things. So why don try porting this rom to our phone that the only problem is ant+ because racht has solved the problem with thhe radio. Now the no sound in his radio i think it will be fixes very fast
You can ask ponanovn what he change when he port miniCM from X10 mini. Maybe it can be ported this way too
We have this already
Sent from my X8 using XDA App
Hi I have a HD2 with custom Winmo Rom and an android sd setup. It's all working fine and great but my wife has an xperia mini pro and I really love the UI. The homescreen and general layout are so clean and looks good.
I was wondering if it's possible to port the mini pro's os and make it compatible with the HD2?
If so some advice would be helpful.
Thanks in advance

Search for the Xperia Arc ROM in the NAND section. There isn't an SD version but I think you can port NAND builds to SD via Portadroid. The Arc ROM is just a better and more up to date version of the Xperia Mini one
Hi everyone!
I wanted to ask someone who knows and is accustomed to porting roms might bring a rom type ICS or Jelly Bean for the U8800 (not pro).
But in a special way, I have had problems on all roms because of the wi-fi, the one where the wi-fi works is the Xperia Style and opened the zip and found that there was one thing that none of the other roms had - one folder to say wifi.
I wanted to ask someone who can make or bring a folder with the rom that has wifi and wpa this rom, because I think so now will give wifi ...
(I used Google Translator)

Different ROMs have different way to load and run wifi. Doing what you say is possible through the source code, but it is a lengthy process; modifying all of the wifi configuration files.

But if someone did it when ported the Xperia Style, why don't do the same for another rom like CyanogenMod or other?
Can you send me a link to find some roms of Honor?
I would like to try to port one rom from it
