ive searched everywhere - Trophy General

but i just cant find any stable sparkw roms that are not demos, if anyone is out there please help i dont wnat to go back to my old treo but its my last resort

I've only used 2 custom roms so far, but both are stable. XevRev for the Spark_W is really solid, nothing that seems glitchy at all. There is also Sinato's rom for the Spark_W which I am using right now, and its stable too.

I'll second with XevRev. I haven't been able to install the "HTC Spark W 7.8 Sianto Edition v2.0" (I just attempted this an hour ago.) It froze after updating on the htc logo. I let it sit for a half an hour.
I can say his 8835 build for Spark_W is stable enough. I have been running it since October 7th. I just had lost marketplace access (I think one of the OEM switcher apps broke it) and the Nokia Counters app just altogether stopped working ( and an error exceeding 4095 minutes in a phone call ) I just reinstalled it and I'm still waiting for a 8858 rom that is reliable (its more like I waiting for TheXev to come back after the holidays.)

[Q] dropped calls on HTC Hero Telus Android 2.1

Hi. I have an HTC hero from Telus. I was extremely happy with my phone's operation until I upgraded it to 2.1. This is the Telus upgrade and I have not rooted my phone (yet).
Ever since then:
* have been dropping calls
* have been losing antenna
* not able to make a call: I would have to try 2 or sometime even 3 times to be able to dial a number
* some of my text messages are not received by the recipients
I have done a hard reset after I upgraded my phone, but it did not help. I only have a total of 5 or 6 apps installed. After the hard reset, I waited before installing the apps. Even without any of the apps installed, I was still dropping calls.
My guess is that there is an issue with the baseband version that came with the new (2.1) install. Here is what I have right now:
baseband: 63.18.55.06SU_6.35.17.03
Kernel: 2.6.29-7527f009
build#: 3.36.661.1 CL199109
SW#: 3.36.661.1
Any ideas on what I can do to make things as stable as they were on 1.5? I'm guessing I will have to root my phone and install a different version on it, considering HTC or Telus won't be fixing this issue any time soon.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can use to make the PHONE functionality most stable? (I use my phone as a phone first and then other things). Which baseband version and which SW version? I don't have a preference between 1.5, 2.1, or 2.2 as long as it's stable.
Thanks for your help.
Update your radio pal. Start with the newest, if it is not perfect, try the next one along. Google "villain rom GSM hero radio" for the links. Use btdag's noob guide in the dev section for a quality tutorial on flashing roms and radios.
Pretty sure the OP already has the latest and greatest radio. This radio gets the best signal strength for me with slightly more battery drain than before.
OP, where in the country do you reside?
Since I've been using 2.2 ROMs for the last few months, I suggest trying these for stability:
*AOSP ROMs*
Elelinux-6.2.0-RC0-Hero (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=906552)
Floyo 1.2.0 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=784689)
An online buddy of mine (who has thoroughly tested all the ROMs) says Cronos 2.1 is a good one:
*Sense ROMs*
Cronos 2.1.4.1 Sense Eclair (http://www.cronosproject.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=279)
Cronos 2.1.4.2 Light Eclair(http://www.cronosproject.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=397)
Thanks. I will pick one of the ones you suggested and root my phone this weekend. I'll report back if the problem doesn't go away.
Had the same problem as you, the solution i found is to use "WCDMA only" and not "GSM / WCDMA auto " in network mode. Works great since.
I am on Telus with their 2.1
I was already on WCDMA preferred. Changing it to WCDMA only didn't make a difference.
I rooted last night and tried the Elelinux-6.2.0-RC0-Hero first. But really missed the feel of sense. Cronos site was down last night, so I went with Tegro-2.3 for now. I haven't upgraded the radio from the base recovery image yet. I'll wait and see how things work. Now that I am setup for rooting, I will change until I find a build that is fully operational and has no lag.
Thanks everyone.
I use HTC Hero Cronos Ginger 1.0.1 now, it's like having a new phone, everything is perfect and very very really very fast.
excuse me may I ask you that what radio room is?
is it included in our ROM ( such as elelinux , cyanogen v.v.....) or it must be install in another way?

[Q] Can someone suggest a MIUI based ROM with working BT for US HD2?

I've been trying different MIUI ROMs from miui.us (united worldwide) looking for the most stable MIUI ROM. I really like that series but I cannot find one where the bluetooth works for a US T-Mobile HD2. It will never complete the pairing process and will not transmit data. My car kit says pairing was sucessful but the phone never shows the pairing process complete.
I reflashed the phone, Task29ed, reinstalled, repartitioned, switched from Magldr to CLK and back and same issue. Sense ROMs work fine though. I even tried this on a 2nd HD2 that I have and the exact same issue. Even flashed a kernel that one of the mods posted up in the forums (miui.us) and that didn't work either.
So I'm just looking for a working MIUI based ROM or a way to fix this issues. Anyone have a good working miui based ROM to suggest?
I'm currently using jaguaralani v21 minuit gingerbread 2.3.7. Its great, bt, wf, phone, mms, market, etc, all good. Was using same but v20 and was perfect, don't know why I upgraded, lol.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using xda premium
JaguarMIUI
JaguarMIUI is very good, though battery drain is high as compared to other ROMs.
Other wise everything is working.
i am using NDT's for a few months now and it's running great.

[Q] Compatibility issues

Hello everyone!
Yesterday I made some tests with some roms, CM 7 and MIUI 2.5.25 and went to stock (2.3.6 GB) sometimes.
After going to MIUI again, after CM7, I started to have some issues with some apps from the market.
The ones I saw 'till now is: Eternity Warriors and Contract Killer
Is there a way to solve this? It says that my mobile isn't compatible... but it works flawless on CM7.
Thanks!
You can solve it by find the apk of the game somewhere and install it by yourself, it works. I hope it will be fixed in the rom itself soon.
Hello!
I tryed using ALL .apk versions of Eternity Warriors lol
None of them worked, dunno why. The incompatibility came from no where.
One it was working flawless and the other day not.

[GT-I9505] Need TW-based ROM decision help

Hi there,
I have some serious problems here. I used a Galaxy S2 for two years now and since "day one" I got my phones rooted and flashed custom roms. You could say I am some kind of a flashoholic - need to have the best, newest, fastest all the time. For one month now I have got a new Galaxy S4. Sounded like a good decision as I'm using it most of the time for internet and taking photos.
But till today, I am unsatisfied. My Galaxy S2 went from "Checkrom Revolution" to "Omega" and then all the updates from "Cyanogen 9" to 10.1-RC3 (not sure if the versions are correct, just call it the latest 4.2.2 version). For a month now I'm flashing myself through the whole forum, but none of the roms seem to work as flawless as my Cyanogen was on my S2. Some problmes I discovered (I wont mention which problem occured on which ROM as I simply can't remember):
- unstable WLAN
- bad signal for 3G/H+/4G
- bad signal for phone (S2 had 3 of 4 bars while the S4 only gets 1 to 2 of 4 bars at my home)
- bad battery lifetime (for example: newly flashed "Phoenix Rom" gave me 2 or 3 full days of standby (WLAN on all the time), while "Echoe Rom v9" seems to drain it like hell (loosing 30% within 3 hours ?!?)
- crashing initialization setup (at the beginning, where you setup WiFi, Google and device name and stuff)
- no Samsung Cam (well, its not a bug, but I love the features like slow-motion videos and the image burst mode to select the best one afterwards. So when I realized that only TW roms have the samsung cam, I only tried those roms)
- Samsung Cam freezes in 9 of 10 cases when I try to catch a slow-motion video.
- and my newest addition: flashed a new rom yesterday, flashed the newest modem with odin afterwards (I9505XXUEMK9), then flashed the WiFi-Fixed-Version, and since then, I have no sound at all. All volume levels are maxed but I get no single beep from it
I'm sick of it. I just want a modem which gives best signal quality and a ROM with a flawless working Samsung Cam. Do you have any ideas?
Going to flash some rooted stock-rom with an older modem now and try to get my sound back...
Modem is dependable from your location. You hava to test it out.
My favourite Roms for battery life and everything working fine are:
Echoerom newest Builds
Google Edition 4.2.2 and 4.3 by Jamal.
I also testes lots of Roms, but many got lags or other problems which i didn't have in the Roms i told you

OmegaRom is awesome! Wlan/Hsdpa/et cetera all working perfect, plus the integrated xposed installer app makes it really comfortable. plus, my antutu benchmarks compared to stock mh5 rom went up by 2000 points

Well... to late...
Found out (after the flash) that this stock fw got this knox bullsh!t in it.... damn. As long as I can't downgrade the bootloader (oder flash roms + root without setting 0x1) I guess I will have to stay on stock samsung roms... -.-"

I was in the same boat as you, but I really couldn't take the stock TW lag anymore. So I decided to root and flash a custom rom knowing the it would set 0x1..besides, there probably isn't going to be a fix for knox anytime soon.
A difficult decision.

Flash back to original rom - Maybe you can try Xposed framework and do all the custom stuff you get on other roms. -
You should try all roms , but my experience each rom has one strong point and one weak point.

After I found out that this knox 0x1 is just doing the same thing as Sonys "go to this page to get a code to unlock the bootloader" - by which I mean, it tells the developer that you played with their software; and what I have done on several phones by now - I come to the conclusion, that knox 0x1 won't really bother me.
You are so right. This default rom is really... well... bad. It feels slow and I miss my root Well, loading some roms now.
As the cam is most important for me (and for the roms I tested it works best / most stable on Samsung Stock), I will flash one rom after another, try the slow-mo-cam, and if it won't work, I flash the next one.

Searching for a good ROM for A910F

Hello people of the internet, I'm currently using a ROM installed by a shop 4 years ago, Android 6.0.1. And right now I'm looking to install a newer ROm on my phone but most of the ROMs I've found didn't have valid download links. I was wondering if anyone got any idea about the current available ROMs for the A910F and what the most stable ROM currently is.
The main reason which is making me change the ROM is the GPS, the GPS on my phone is working at all and sometimes it works in Google Maps but very very rarely.
