I have a spare Google Voice Invite

I signed up for google voice months ago, and today got an invite through
Unfortinatly, its for US users only and i live in the UK.
Im willing to give this to someone here who is a active member of the forum, lives in the US and who deserves it because he/she helps people or has made great contributions to this forum ect.
So I think we should take a vote on who this goes to, and no voting for yourself. Whoever has the most votes gets it.

i remember back when Gmail was invite only, i had the fortune to be one of the first and always gave invited out to everybody LOL

A little tip for some of you guys. If you haven't already done so, go ahead and sign yourself up for an invite on the official google voice page.
Google is rolling out invites pretty fast right now. My brother signed up for an invite about 4 days ago and he just got his invite. He did sign up for an invite twice, don't know if that would make a difference, but trying doesn't harm anybody.
I already got mine about a month ago. Now if only we had an awesome app to work with.

Agreed this google voice thing is nice but without a app on wm its just doesn't do anything for me unfortunatly.

Still up for grabs if anyone who has a higher post count wants it.

Google voice seriously needs a Windows Mobile App.

I would like to give it a try if it's still available.
Not a mega poster or ROM developer, but try to help when I can.

GV Dialer
Though it costs 10$ after the 30 day trial www.gvdialer.com has a decent option.
It's the best I've used I think between OneDialer / iDialer, etc etc
It makes calling extremely easy, no doubt someone could replicate the concept and produce a similar app here.
Though we definitely need the ability to send texts.

Already saw those apps and I was concerned about privacy. Everything goes through a relay server which is not encrypted. The author of that app may have the best of intentions, but I don't take chances in this matter.

I'm not sure if my post count is high enough or how much contribution you're looking for but I had a few helpful posts in the early days of the Fuze, helped out Herg and 12aon with their interfaces and would love to have it if it's still available.

ITNV has the highest post count that was intrested in it so it has been sent to him.

I would like to try the google voice service. I do helps people in the forum and make roms for other. Hopes I can get the invite.

I've started an Android "brain trust" wave so far... trying to get all the pertinent info we have her eon the forums onto another medium. Seems to be working so far. Do a search for Android braintrust, let me know what you find. Also if you could PM me your google wave address, I'll add you to my contacts and then to the Wave.

I have a couple of friends who have received the google wave as well yet they haven't received extra invites to pass out, so I would be so appreciative if some one was to send me one, I would be glad to pm my gmail addy to whoever could send one, no worries either way, thank you.

Currently I use google docs with people in my company to manage documents and stuff. Once Wave gets developed and opened more I feel like we will probably move some of our stuff to that for collaboration.

Google Wave is slow, but usable in Android browser, even at 320x240. Has anyone else experimented with this?

I threw it on virtualbox. It's okay and a pretty neat concept for the older generation. It's kind of refreshing to see a Linux platform that's not the typical GDE or KDE interface and simplifies things. For me, I would never use it on a day to day basis but I can see where google was going. If anything, Ubuntu is still the main Linux platform opposed to Windows or Macs for everyday users.

the only thing i wished is that they didnt demand SSD, think of all the legacy equipment that cant run a newer operating system and is just planning on being thrown out, esp since they cant support alot of newer software.
things like that i hope the open source community would help in porting with, it will extend the life out of alot of computers

Edit: Just to be clear, there is no official invite method for now, I am trying it through a loophole. Some of the people I invited got it, and when they clicked the link it told them it had exceeded capacity, but it did not work for most people.
Nevertheless, I can still try if you want me to, just dont be disappointed if it doesn't work.
I'm sure they will open it up soon enough.

It looks like it is opening up to more people now. Head over to the Google Plus webpage and if you're lucky you will be able to sign up (not sure if this requires invite yet)

As I bet you've noticed, we are facing pretty incredible demand for Google+ invites.
As Engineering Director of Google+, I wanted to take a moment to explain why we're growing the system slowly. First, we want to make sure our infrastructure scales so the service remains fast and reliable. Second, we want to ensure that bugs are fixed while there are still a relatively few people in the field trial.
Things are going well with the systems right now so we feel comfortable enough to open up invites for a brief period. Our goal is to double the user base in the field trial. (Sorry, we're not giving details about how many folks are in the field trial yet).
So, in a few minutes, we'll open up invites again.
We continue to throttle invites, so please don't mass invite folks as it won't work. If you invite a handful of your most important friends and family you're much more likely to get these folks into our system.

Admob has banned me

Hi guys, today I woke up with a horrific news. I wanted to kill myself when I logged in to my Admob account. I am banned without a warning or at least a courtesy mail. I have been trying to find out the reason, I have read tons of similar posts and it looks like it is not very likely that they will reactivate my account. I need some suggestion about the mail that I will send them in order for them to understand that I did nothing wrong and that what they did is actually wrong.
I was getting 30k impressions daily and I am suspicious that somebody has attacked my application; however, isn't admob supposed to understand that and filter out those clicks?
This is so frustrating, any comment on this issue would be great.

That's a really sad news.. I think it could be possible that some user just clicked your ads over and over again, just to get you banned.. Normally, I would suggest that admob is able to filter this clicks out, but it seems not in your case.
If i remember correct, there should be an official "protest"-formular online. But I would not put to much hope in int.
Maybe you should just try a new network, as soon as possible.

Thank you for your comments, It is really a shame if a person is able to make me banned that way. I have switched to another network but it will not be paying as good as Admob does. Anyways Google is the boss and I have no other option except abiding by whatever this giant wants.

Im surprised they couldnt filter out multiple clicks from one account. But they would probably just assume it was you telling someone to click on ads for them.

In most cases the ban of admob not involve the ban on the developer console since the services are not related. However it's really strange that admob ban persons in this way, are you sure that you have not put ads near buttons to increase the click?

Post some screenshots of the locations where you put your admob banners and the names of your apps so we can tell you why you got banned.

Hi! Sorry to hear about that. Based on my own experience conducting workshop for my students, we follows these guidelines:
1) Never click on your own app
2) Never open your admob account using public wifi
3) never open your admob account using the same gmail address as your google developer account.
There are few more advices we normally gives our students but those above is the major guidelines that students must follow.
I hope this helps you.

Well Admob is the best but if you get banned the only alternative is MoPub.

It is sad to hear about that.

Did you contact AdMob support to get more information about the ban?
What happened to your App after the ban? Did it still show AD, Blanked, or simply make the App crashed?
Did you try another AD network, such as MoPub mentioned by others?

I only use Admob.

Where did you place the ads? Did you abuse the system in any way? Could it be because of your apps? Did they contain copyrighted material?

MoPub allows you to mediate between a whole bunch of ad networks. The only disadvantage is that the support is very slow in answering your questions and in verifying your account. If you can live with that, I'd suggest changing to MoPub.

you can chose something else.
I don't think there is much to upset, you can chose so many other ad networks since it is really so easy, such as startapp, mobilecore and mobvista, so easy to switch..

AdMob Alternative
Unless you have a ton of impressions, a solution like MoPub may be overkill. MoPub is a mediation solution that allows you to optimize between multiple networks to best value your inventory. It really is just a little more savvy than having a single network manage your inventory, and you have the ability to serve house ads.

I've been banned too 3 or 4 months ago I think, and I decided to move to Adbuddiz (which is not working for me at all, btw) without sending the reply form to Admob. Two days ago I said "let's give it a try" and send that form to Admob to see if can recover my account somehow, and yesterday my account was OK again!
So, you have nothing to lose in sending that reply form, as long as you send a logic explanation
