I purchased a 32gb Sandisk microsd card for my ATRIX a few days ago and it seems as if no matter what I do, not nearly all of my music files are being copied. Whether I use iSyncr, drag and drop files, or use Windows Media Player, only about 3 to 8gb of music shows up even though it seems as if it is copying all 18gb because it takes hours. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Did you copy it via the USB cable plugged into the Atrix? Try buying a micro sd usb adapter to see if it works

Is the card formatted correctly?
I voided my warranty.

Ok, so I woke up this morning and my Droid X won't recognize my SD card. Astor and titanium don't recognize my SD card either. Any ideas? I and about 15 GB of information stored. Oh, I'm the Tranquility Rom.

Maybe unmount it and remount it? Or does it not even see it as being inserted?
It doesn't seem to know that it's inserted. I have an exclamation mark in my notification bar that says Blank SD card

Do you have a card reader? If so, take it out of your phone and put it in the reader, see if you can get anything off it that way.
Used a card reader and it says my SD card is not formatted. Can I reformat my SD card will it but me into a bootloop since I'll lose my all the files? I'm running Tranquility.

Failed card - SD Ram is slightly damaged every time you do a write (not reads). This means that every SD card has a limited life (due to higher voltage writes that damage the silicon slightly).
All you can do is replace the card.
If it is the card that came with the phone than it is low quality and fails easily. I had the same problem some time back. Bite the bullet and get a good quality card. You wont regret it.

I'm currently using an 8GB sdcard. I bought a 16GB and tried to transfer data. The first problem I have is that it takes forever to transfer it from my computer to the new card. I used a USB cord (new) and it still takes hours. Once it finally finished transferring I reboot and none of my data is there. What am I doing wrong?

Did you get the card from ebay? It's likely the card is a fake, or is just DOA.
of course ,i think the sd card is a fake,to change another sd card to try again

I bought the card from DailySteals.com. It looks like a legit card and my computer recognizes it.

Run that program above. Just because it looks good doesnt mean it is good, thats the whole reason these places make it look normal, so you think you are buying a real card.
And again, it could just be a bad card as well, contact the site and see about a return.
Will do.

Just got my nexus today.
This thing is fast
But I discovered that it lacks a micro SD slot.
I have tons of things on msd cards now.
So the debate is whether to switch to a tf700 which has decent resolution but at least the stock rom is ridiculously slow and laggy
Does anyone have any experience with both of these platforms?

Had both, kept the nexus 10. The tf 700 isn't even in the same league as it.
I uploaded all my music to Google play, if your concerned about the micro SD buy a $2 OTG cable from eBay and a $5 micro SD card reader from amazon (or one that does both) and install a ROM that supports OTG (most do).
I'm currently using my micro SD from my S3 this way.

Thanks I was wondering. If there was a way to use a card reader with this
Google probably wants people to use the "cloud"
But unless they want to roll out nationwide wifi that even works in the middle of nowhere and make da clowd unhackable, they really do most consumers a disservice by leaving off the sd card reader
Well regardless of my brief rant thanks again for mentioning the whole OTG thing

Basically when I restart my phone, I get a pop up that says my Sd card is damaged but when I go to settings and mount it, it works fine until I do another reboot. The one annoying thing that happens is it wipes anything that was saved from my phone like DCIM picture and music etc but everything else is still there(that I saved from my pc).
Any idea what's causing it?

What phone and which vendors SD card?
Didn't I see that Sandisk has a bad batch recently of 32 GB cards?
Also have you tried reformatting?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda premium
It's a HC 64gb card running on SGS4 phone. I've tried reformatting off my pc and phone but to no avail. It worked fine on my Note 2

Do you have another card to try? Since its a new device and it worked on your old phone you need to rule out the phone as the issue.

I guess it's one of those annoying things. I'll get a new Sd card, might be the easiest solution

I just lost my second 32gb class 10 Sandsk SD card in the S4. I didn't take the card out our do anything special. The card is now unrecognized in my computer and phone. This is the second SD card I lost. Any ideas on what may be causing this and how to possibly repair a card that isn't recognized?
Sent from my GT-N5110 using xda premium
Try a card reader and pop it in a computer. Mine went unrecognized after a hefty download from the play market failed. So I copied everything off it and put it back in. And it worked. After backup if ur pc sees everything u can format it even once in the phone. Good luck

Just ordered a SanDisk 32GB sd card also except mine is class 4... wonder what the difference is, hope it doesn't happen to me :fingers-crossed:
It is disturbing at the cost of these. Fortunately I have a backup that isn't too old and I decided not to move all my apps to the SDCard.

The class is a speed rating.
A class 10 is 2.5 times faster than a class 4 at reading from and writing to the card.
I have just lost my second 32 gig. Lots of data lost. Can this be coincidence. I am worried and will start to back up the next mem card for piece of mind. I will guess the first one worked for 1 year and the second for 2 hope thurd times the charm.
