Yes, it is possible

I don't see why it wouldn't work. Seems like a pretty good idea as well.

Where can I find the Original 2.1 ROM as zip?

I rooted and reflashed my Hero months ago. Now I want to install the origilan HTC ROM on it, but when I try to do the first update, it doesn't work. I think it's because I replaced the recovery with the one that allowed me to have other ROMs on my Hero. Where can I find the original ROM zipped so that I can update it, or restore the original recovery ROM?
Can someone help me?
Try these, they are the genuine ROMs from HTC.

Thanks - keep up the good work!
Please join the MoDaCo forums as well, as many vega owners don't know about xda-developers.

Thanks for your information. Market problem should belong to the GoogleFramework.apk, when you replace it with the one from Modaco Rom for example it will work. So Accelerometer should be the only(?) problem.
Hopefully Apache is able to fix that

Ok. I have downloaded that too, but I'm considering installing g900f-cwm-recovery-6.0.4.7.tar. This is an edition I've ready some articles about, but don't know if it's stable or not. Do you have any thoughts about it?

Slight correction, CM does not include an FM app. It is possible for CM to do one but they choose not to.

Nope. So, is playback of ringtones stored in SD Card. Has to move them over to Internal. Also, had issues with in incoming calls when the phone is in deepsleep. They get rejected, with the screen still off, although shows as a notification mentioning incoming call.

Need help guys. After flashing the latest nightly, my TWRP recovery was replaced with CM's. Now I'm trying to reinstall the recovery via fastboot. It finishes without a problem but once I reboot to recovery, the CM recovery is still there and not TWRP.
