To be honest why would you want to do that for? But too answer your question I think maybe some of it could be like the widgets but I'm not sure about the rest

You may have read that, but it is not true. There is a lot of effort involved in porting a user interface line Motrblur or Sense from one platform to another. In most cases the UI is not open source and without the source code it is very complicated and some times impossible.
ok thank you thats the type of advice i need.. cause just need to figure out the specs and if its even possible....
i just read all the specs on the motorola back flip and they are practically the same as the aria the just a slower processor ..... n the led flash..
like tpbklake just said... Motoblur sits on top of android and it is most likely not open source, and will be difficult (near impossible?) to port over. I'm no expert, but in any situation the specs really shouldn't matter. FYI (for your information) you can get a backflip on ebay for under $100 if youre that desperate to have motoblur.
Y do i have to be disperate.. just a reg guy tryin to add to the dev of the aria.. is everyone on the site out to disrespect people tryin to learn wat they no.. wtf thanks for ur input anyway dude

Now, THIS phone has nearly identical specs to the Aria. I'd try to find a ROM from this and go from there. If you're brave enough, flash it! But I'd recommend rooting your phone and having clockword mod installed with a working nandroid backup first.
http://boston-mania.blogspot.com/2010/10/cyanogenmod-6-android-221-for-boston.html
ok thanks for ur help i will try to flash some roms today and give a respond as to how it goes with the name and download links of whateva roms i try...
This is just my opinion, but if you have an Aria now, I wouldn't even bother with MotoBlur. The user integration is hands down rather horrible. Plus, like many said in here, integrating that into a rom for this phone would be a dev nightmare.
MotoBlur is a custom skin by Motorola, and the source is probably locked down! It would take a lot of time...

Here is a thread about trying to port Motoblur to an HTC device. This experienced dev finally gave up. Maybe you can gain some insight and ideas from this thread.

Hi all. Im coming up on time to get a new phone and thinking about the ATRIX to replace my FLIPSIDE. Any of your experiences would be great to hear. Im not a social networker, not interested in getting email on my phone, occasionally go on the web. My main questions are, is the ATRIX easily rooted? How is 2.3 on it? What about battery life? Im mainly playing games, txtn and occasional phone calls. Thanx for any insight.

If you're smart, the ATRIX is easily rooted, has great battery life, and is a great phone. Highly recommend it. You may hear battery life is bad, but that is completely user dependent. I promise you. Best of luck!

the Atrix is a pretty good choice for a gaming phone, it's Tegra 2 runs any game i've tried on it extremely smooth.
rooting is as easy as injecting a preinstall image with fastboot then a few simple commands in ADB.
i got my Atrix about two months ago, and i've been extremely satisfied so far. with the recently unlocked bootloader there has been a lot of cool development going on as well, even if not quite as much as other phones. we're getting a port of CM7 as well, which is already pretty stable if you ask me. after the kinks are worked out with HDMI mirroring, IMO it'll be one of the top gaming phones on the market.

Im forrest gump as smarts go, lol. I've been using superoneclick for my previous BACKFLIP and this FLIPSIDE. Will that work for the ATRIX? I don't do running codes well at all. I work with shell commands a little with my BACKFLIP, but seemed a little complicated for my simple mind. ;-) tia

If you want to unlock the boot loader, you'll need to dabble in the shell, a bit, nothing too tough.
It's worth it for CM7
Im not the most tech savvy person here but I can assure you, if can you follow directions, you're golden.
As for the phone itself, it's a beast phone. You have the same habits/usage for mobile activities as I do but I do social networking. You can't ask for a more perfect phone. Phone call quality are middle of the pack though.

Obviously, all of us here are biased in their opinions towards the Atrix.
Personally, I would only maybe want one phone isntead of the Atrix - SGSII, can't give a definite "yes" though.
have it on my third one hate it! random reboots all the time, horrible battery life, broken version of android. what frustrates me the most is they seem to have an inability to build an android phone that simply works good battery life, beautiful ui, logical functionality not useless apps. i thought this phone would save android for me. i hate having to hack my phone to make it work correctly. i just want it too work! just get an ios device they work.
It's the best smart phone out there for now
power-wise
form factor-wise
screen-wise
etc, etc
ps. camera sucks (coming from Nokia N8)

Maybe you might want to start with Froyo for a while on the Atrix. Rooting with Gingerbreak on Froyo is just as easy as SOC.
Then you can read about unlocking and take it to the next level with Gingerbread when you are ready...

IMO....its the best phone available. SGS2 the other option....but I think its a tossup between the 2. Its all preference ....rooting is simple, don't do superoneclick because of busybox.

Got mine a few weeks ago. Had it unlocked, rooted, and running alien #4 within 30 minutes. I get 30+ hours of battery life with heavy use and gaming. Games are awesome on the atrix, as well as just about everything out there. Watching high quality youtube videos is fast and looks great.

Day two and still with it...that is saying something for an aosp rom on my phone. Encountered a few launcher fc's, but they were almost certainly my doing. Nice work.

not everything works like liquid settings. not a bad start. possibly some bugs are permanent due to hardware. I got bored with cm7 and on day 4 with miui
Liquid settings fcs immediately, have had a few calls, where once answered, I can't hear them and they can't hear me, and there seems to be something buggy about the g-sensor. Screens won't rotate when I want them to, and if I use the camera, it locks it into landscape. Problem persists into apps like YouTube, where I'm locked into portrait mode. Any suggestions?

how about some love for the HTC Wildfire S
Anyone have this Liquid for the DX available for download?
I recently inherited a Droid X after my Thunderbolt was stolen (or lost, I'm not sure which) and since I'm still under contract, I'll probably just stick with the DX for a couple more months. Many ROMs are hard to find since the phone is so old (by technology standards in general, phone standards in particular)...including this one. Anyone have the ROM up so I can download it? Or would you be willing to throw it up on Dropbox or something?
Thanks!
Guys im sure as hell no newbie to rooting my own personal phones , but tomorrow my sister is visiting me from Florida with her new Evo on a fresh sprint 2 year contact (yeah dont ask) but anyways she wants to root her phone to tether on WiMAX. Could you guys guide me to the right links on rooting her phone and tell me which rom will be a kick ass rom for her. Most likely that will be the ROM she'll stay with for the rest of her contract.
Searching old thread isn't my thing. I rather suscribe to my own thread.
Also is the rooting process hard? My EVO 3d was a pain in the ass.

It all depends on the software. If its on 2.2 froyo you would use unrevoked. If its on GB 2.3.3 you would use revolutionary.io and if its GB 2.3.5 you have to use HTC dev unlock. I recommend that you put tommytomatoes classic rom on her phone. Its 100% stable and fully working and has great community support

+2 on tommy's rom. Is under the new evo 4g original development section. As far as rooting go is pretty straight forward, just find out which android version she is running ( which might be 2.3.5 ), and go from there.
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
Depends on preference, Tommy's rom's great. but have some variants for her. also may just show her some rom's she'll most likely want gb for stability and best performance. also HTC Sense rom's lagg a bit in my opinion AOSP seems to lag less for me and run more in a operational fashion.
edit install rom manager on her device and keep her stock rooted tell her she can change the software via that app. screen shot's info and downloads all in one nice little user friendly app.
Thanks for the great info guys. I'll be working on her phone tonight.
Just to make sure, with these roms, she still be able to use the HDMI out on the phone?

I booted up my DINC for the first time in over a year today! I kind of miss it. Now I have an S3.
It is on Cyanogenmod 7, and I would like to wipe it and have it as a webcam for my dog while I'm at work all day, and she's home alone. I thought it would be a fun and silly project, and put my old phone to good use. I was planning on using Skype with security settings, but it's not compatible with this version.
Can anyone recommend the best simple updated ROM for it? I used to change the ROM about once a month, so I'm pretty experienced at flashing, but I haven't done it (on this phone) in so long that I'm a little behind the times!
Thanks
I would suggest Tiny's CM 10.1. I'm about to flash it and in my experience, his work is pretty great.
