I would try flashing an original ROM through Odin and start again from scratch. If you look in the forum you will find all the info there. Did you look in the Lightning thread as there is a lot of info on boot loops and solutions.

Hi everyone, I tried to remove the lag fix but it said there was no space on my memory card. Then I tried to open some apps up, and they would all force close. I restarted the phone, and I am stuck at the galaxy s screen. Please help me make my phone work again!
i had the same thing i went into recovery mood up down power...etc wipe user and date cache, but now i dont get the tmobile jingle at power up
Which lag fix did you apply?
I had the same problem today when I tried to used lag fix but it was stuck at vibrant screen and keep rebooting. I tried to went into recovery mode and deleting user interface still didn't help. Finally I had to flash stock vibrant to get it working again.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
solution is to get back to stock rom.. look in the development section on how to fix it.. this happen to me after installing lagfix.. i can not install any app as it is saying i do not have any space available...
Thanks for the help guys, restoring a nandroid back up seemed to do the trick.
I know you fixed it already but this might help others ....
1.) Which lag fix was it?
2.) If it was Voodoo it can take a long time to remove and it will sit at the boot logo.
3.) If you get impatient and reboot before the removal is complete, you may not have all your data copied over.
I have the same problem! The lag fix i have is the one from this video: youtube.com/watch?v=KY1YXrltIRE (cannot post link), how do i get back to stock rom? thanks in advance from a noob
I downloaded the kies version of the firmware of the froyo update and updated the firmware using odin.
After i installed froyo, i wanted to root to apply swype patch and everthing went ok but when i restarted, the phone was stuck on the i5801 loading screen for about an hour
so i flashed the firmware again.
Odin saves the data onto phone and restarts the phone and the phone opens recovery mode but now it gets stuck on a screen saying "delete app data"... "delete files please wait" and it has been stuck there for about 3 hours now and even when i try and open recovery mode, it opens but then this screen comes up
i tried flashing multiple times but nothing works, cant even factory reset now
Please help me out..
note:odin for a change shows a disabled reset time box.. it is faded out)
add http and enter "dl.dropbox.com/u/26157339/compressed.jpg"
here is a screenshot of the screen at which my phone has been stuck for about 3 hours
Also suggest if i should go to the service center coz the phone is under warranty, i really doubt theyd do it for free considering its rooted but i dont mind paying up.
And let me know if there is anyway the service center ppl will know i rooted/flashed
Try taking out the battery and then putting it back, and press the 2 volume buttons+home+power until the phone boots up in recovery mode... Try wipping the memory from there
that is the entire problem, as soon as it goes into recovery mode it starts off like shown in the screenshot
therefore it is not displaying the menu (which has options to factory reset/clear cache) instead its jumping directly to the update sequence but then getting stuck at deleting apps
Try flashing a different firmware, such as an eclair rom. Note that your phone is 5801, so look for those firmwares.

k ill try flashing an eclair rom. I did flash firmware specific to my version it self..
But the problem is that even after the flashing is done, the recovery window has to open where the update begins and thats when the "deleting apps" screen kicks in and doesnt progress
never the less ill try flashing another rom/firmware and see
Hmm, that is weird. Did you flash the bootloader?
tried flsahing a eclair firmware but no luck..
odin runs for a couple of mins, and says pass but still the phone is stuck on the delecting apps screen..'
For some odd reason, my recovery mode is hell bent on deleting some apps but is not able to and is getting stuck and therefore i cant reset/ clear cache..
Do u ppl think this could be coz of the root??
Please suggest something, i dont want to know my phone is bricked for ever considering its not even been a year since i bought it
a second flashing of eclair did it thanks man!!!
it usually works if you flash the very first rom that worked the last time you got problems.
did you flash with your sdcard in your phone?
anyways im just glad you fixed it

Hello all hope you will be able to help me.
Device : Nexus S I 9020
So basicly iam kinda new to whole this world of "android" former Iphone user.
last mounth i got my nexus S wich is my first android phone.
As soon as i got it i started to read guids and etc.
Root the device and ofc the nexy step was trying Rom`s.
but then a problem , every time i try to flash a rom i get status 7 error.
tryed every possible combination of restore / wipe etc...
nothing helped , so i came back to the stock one (backup i made before i started)
after a while i discovered the app Rom mananger , wich install rom update recovery etc...
so i updated my recovery and installed CM7 using it.
used it for a while and went back to the stock.
after cople of days tryed to install MIUI using rom manger every thing went clear and after the intall device reboot it self and then stuck on the Google logo with the lock in the botom of the screen.
and nothing helped since then restore , factory reset/restore / wipe`s etc.
as last resort i tryed Odin and it worked like a charm got my device back and runing.
today i tryed to install a new rom AOASP(i think , or some thing like that) in the first time from the recovery (several times) with every possible wipe.
all the time status 7 error , then went to rom mananger and again same thing.
stuck on the google logo.
now iam gonna use Odin again hope it will work this time too.
Any idea how to resolve it , or why this is happen ?
and how can i resolve the status 7 error and what does it mean ?
Thank you all.
(sorry for this been so long , wanted to give as much details as possible)
Contact this guy. Looks like the same problem. If you can't get it going, I can also fix it so just PM me...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1091789
doesnt seem to be the same problem like i had.
Any way at this point i was able to restore my phone using Odin , and then restore it into my stock backup (including all my data and etc...)
but the problem remain the same.
cant install any rom (status 7 error).
and when i try to install any rom using Rom mananger iam stuck on the google logo after the reboot.
so what can i do ?
Problem solved by using Odin ro restore it and after that flash Nanbackup and finally updating the CWM recovery.
If any one get the problem try this
Btw SuperAOSP is GREAT !!!!
gl all.
I left my phone charging overnight as I have done many times with no issue. When I woke up I pressed the home button and the only thing that shows was my wallpaper. Wouldn't show anything else. I then did a battery pull. It now gets stuck at the note 4 powered by android screen. A little history in case it helps. This is an unlocked at&t model that I am using on t-mobile. It's not rooted or anything. A few weeks ago I downloaded the recent 5.0.1 small update. In the past week a notification keeps appearing and disappearing from the menu. It was dm software download or something which would disappear if I clicked it.
So it's stuck on the boot screen today. I booted in to the recovery screen. It starts by saying "installing system update" with the little android. Then it goes to recovery menu. At the bottom it says "dm-verity verification failed". I tried to wipe cache and reboot but it still gets stuck at the boot screen. Another small detail is after turning phone off if I plug it in the charger it stays at the grey lighting screen and does not show any battery percentage.
I don't know what to do. I really need my phone today as I am traveling. I hope someone can please help me. Thank you.
In the case u tried recovery now u should flash ur stock rom.
How do I flash the stock rom? Should I do that before trying a factory wipe/reset? I haven't tried that because I really dont want to erase everything unless I have to.
When u do the flashing everything in your device will be lost. So if u do the flashing then u just need to backup all your data.
---------- Post added at 01:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:02 PM ----------
First u have to download your stock rom
Anyone else have any ideas? I really have no clue how to flash the stock rom. Is there a guide I can follow? Thanks
Just google your device name flashing

I would suggest you start download stock as already mentioned by previous mentor
Than try to make a factory reset from recovery while stock is downloading. In case factory reset all your apps and settings will be gone but your data stay untouched.
If positive with factory reset no need to flash stock anymore
I just tried doing factory reset/date wipe and it's still getting stuck at the boot screen. I guess I need help now to flash the stock rom. Again I have never done this so I appreciate it if someone has or could find a simple guide for me. I just don't want to download the wrong file and mess phone up even more. It's an at&t model SM-N910A. Thanks again
How long did you wait after wiping? For lollipop its normal after wiping to see nothing but Samsung boot up logo up to 20 minutes
In response to above. It did the date wipe/reset which did it in like 5 seconds. I rebooted and left it on the boot screen for about 3 minutes. I should wait longer then? Another thing I was going through kies to see if anything could help. I ended starting a firmware upgrade. I entered my model # and S/N#. It then asked me to go to recovery and made it to a screen with an android, "downloading do not turn off target". That's loading now and i'll see what happens. I also checked on google and it looks like there is a program called odin that will flash the stock rom. I need to find that program and also find the stock rom file to download?
Yep. Google for Odin, download and extract it on your PC. You'll need to download a stock firmware from Sammobile for your device. It will be as Archiv so extract it. In Odin click on AP and choose extracted file.
Another update. The firmware upgrade through kies went through fine. It booted up like normal afterwards. I didn't know it would happen but I am back to kit kat 4.4.4 as well. I wasn't too thrilled with lollipop so maybe that isn't a bad thing.
Hey everybody, I need help. I have a J320P that is stuck in a boot loop, when it was found like this by my friend they came to me and asked if I could help. I have no information on how this happened other than they took a shower and when they came back it was like this. I have tried installing stock firmware 3 times to no luck. I might have an sd card somewhere with the backup for this phone but finding it would take some time so in the mean time I am turning to the forums. If anyone could help that would be amazing. I will provide more information and answer questions as they come.
Steps I have taken:
1. dirty flash of stock latest firmware
1. wiping the phone completely
2. Installing latest stock firmware
3. Still bootlooped
Not solved
So after triple wiping through TWRP and installing the stock firmware again it was still looping so i left to run to the store quickly and when I returned I tried powering it on and it loaded normally and I am still setting it back up.
Leaving the original comment. After coming home from work my friend said it had started doing it again, and it is. This time there was no root and no system anything messed with, does this mean there is a hardware problem?
