Gtab 10.1's Bluetooth is Amazing for Hifi Audio - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

I'm not sure exactly what Bluetooth chip is in the tablet but it's way superior than my HTC Inspire 4G's BT. I recently bought the Sennheiser MM550 which is one of the best BT stereo headphones out there. The Sennheiser website says you need apt-X codec support to fully enjoy audiophile-grade lossless sound wirelessly. Though I don't know what's in the Gtab 10.1 since the Samsung website only says BT 2.1 EDR, I can say the sound is amazing compare to what gets outputted from my HTC phone with the same song. The HTC phone also gives a little hiss and clicks here and there but the Gtab 10.1 is just flawless even at 30 feet out. Funny thing for lower end BT stereo headphones the HTC phone is fine. I have tried few others like the Sennheiser MM 200, motorola S9 and few Sonys. They all sound the same through both HTC phone or the Gtab 10.1.
I'm not too experienced on the Apt-X codec thing. Maybe someone with more knowledge in this area can comment on it, but now I'm re-encoding all my songs in 320kb or AAC just to fully enjoy the music. Awesomeness!!!

A2DP is done in the software BT stack (bluez), not in the BT chipset's firmware. Last I checked, bluez doesn't support apt-X, though I suppose it's possible that Samsung added that as a proprietary feature.

Haven't tried BT anything with mine. I would love to find a pair of stereo BT earbuds that are as comfortable as the wired Sennheisers I use with my phone. I can sleep with those in (fall asleep listening to podcasts via Google Listen) but it would be awesome not to have the frigging phone (or iPod) in bed with me.

Buy one of the many Bluetooth units that let you use your own 3.5mm headphones and jack the Sennheisers into that. The "dongles" run pretty small too these days, and are good for 6-8 hours on a charge.

I had no idea anything like that even existed. :O Thanks for the tip! I know what I'll be doing at work this morning. ;-)

I agree that the sound is good. I have the Tab connected to my car stereo using Microsoft Sync in my Ford Edge and the sound is outstanding.

I suggest this pretty little wonder: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Ericsson...1DCM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313509936&sr=8-1
Strong points compared to my Jabra BT3030 (The Dog Tag one):
1. Longer battery life, significantly.. My MW600 can last the whole day (morning, afternoon and night!) but my Jabra's dead by 6pm, just before nightfall
2. Louder output. The Jabra is significantly softer compared to the MW600. I tried listening through the 3.5mm jack and compared it with listening through the Jabra and I can say the Jabra is quieter. The MW600 sounds roughly as loud as when wired to the 3.5mm directly
3. Can remember up to 3 devices. I saved my Laptop, my Asus transformer, and my Bluetooth transmitter (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002PU9U0E/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_6). I use the bluetooth transmitter when i want to listen from any music player with a 3.5mm output jack. The Jabra can only remember 1 device so it's a hassle switching audio sources.
4. Can pair media audio and phone audio to separate devices. This means that i can listen to music on my Asus transformer (connected via media) and still receive calls from my Galaxy S (connected via phone) all from one headset. I don't know how to achieve this on the Jabra.
5. MW600 has FM built in. IDK though if you'd want that.

Good to hear.. The bluetooth stack on my Galaxy S was horrible.. Lots of hissing and metallic noise.. It's good that they implemented a different bluetooth stack on the tablets.. I hope they did the same on the SGS2

Man, I was looking for some good BT headphones & I looked into how much your HF cost & $400s. Wow! Can you recommend a cheap HF? Tops 200s & is it really worth the price? I don't have an ear for audio so I'm not sure, a top of the line HF will benefit me or not.

Depends on how much you want to spend. If you want the top of the line bluetooth, you are best bet is Sennheiser. You can also get the PX 360 BT which is the same as the MM 550 I have except without active noise cancelling (ANC) and microphone for calls. If you want ANC without calling feature, you can get PXC 360 BT. The former ones are circumaural meaning covers your ears. If you want smaller over the ear, AKA supraaural, you can get MM 400, PXC 310 BT, or MM 450. Differences is BT, BT+ANC, BT+ANC+Calling. You can get these on Ebay for cheap. I tried out the MM 550 at Apple store and bought a 2 month old pair from Ebay for 280.
Another great choice is Nokia BH-905i which is about $170 on Amazon, it has BT, ANC, and calling features. I almost got it except it's silver ear mugs are too overthetop for me.
Sony DRBT50 is also circumaural with great reviews. I almost got it except I really wanted top of the line with ANC.
If you want decent quality, not audiophile quality, go with any of the Sony Bluetooth earbuds. They are all great. I have tried 3 of them. It's nice to hide your headphones in your short with Sony's form factor.
Always check out Ebay for great deals .

Best bluetooth headphones for tilt?

I'm considering either the motorola S9 BT earbuds or thair ht820's anyone have any experiance with either of these headsets,or using BT headphones in general with the tilt? How does the sound quality rate vs. just wired headphones?
I've had both and the s9's are the way to go. The 820's are cool but they're way too bulky and star trek looking. The s9's sound great and you dont look funny wearing them.

I've been using the HT820's and love the sound from them.
/drt
I have the s9's and they are awesome.
I've been through 2 pairs of S9's already. If you're planning on wearing them working out or any kind of athletic activity where you're going to sweat, the buttons will stop working within 2 weeks. This happened to me with both of my pairs and I have ready lots of reviews where this has happened to others as well.
I picked up an HT820 and haven't had any problems with it at all, and I think the range is a little better while the sound quality is about the same as the S9. So basically if you're going to be working out, get the HT820, otherwise I would go with the S9.
Thanks guys look like is going to be the S9's also will these work for streaming video and mp3's as well? and do these also work for phone calls?
820
Love the 820. Haven't tried the s9 but it sounds like your going to do well with either!
My 820 work for all audio on the phone and phone calls. Works great too. I'm sure the S9 work the same.
Check out the Jabra BT8040
Not sure if you are looking at a headphone style only. Picked up the Jabra 8040 about 3 weeks ago and really love it. This BT headset also has a two phone BT connection and is really small. Just thought my input my help!!

The HT820 were OEM made for Motorola. Old BC03 chipset still me think.
We now produce this version , soon available on the shelves in EU :
http://www.b-speech.de/en/ticker/stereo-headsets-und-adapter/b-speech_calypsoSP/
With call ID and BC05 chipset. You can test them a Cebit right now!
Be very cautious about buying the s9's on Ebay because there are cheap knock-offs out there that suck really bad. Horrible sound quality and they seem to be more suseptable to sweat or water damage. If you're going to get the s9's, make sure they're genuin Motorola made!!!!!!!!
cheers and good luck!
got my 820 from ebay.
I got my 820 on ebay for 30 bucks. They were used but for 70$ off they were well worth it.
compassnortheast was the name of the seller. Good feedback.

See this similar thread. My reply there RE: same topic:
Just got a Motorola S805 Stereo Headset - DJ style, full earcups.
Fabulous sound, comfortable, simple and intuitive controls. Works great with Bluetooth, and also has a wired plug-in option. No hiss evident at all during music playback, mild hiss when using VoiceCommand.
Volume is good-to-overwhelming, easily controllable with a twist.
I have the Motorola s9's.. They aren't very loud with WMP but they sound real nice with Coreplayer and custom eq and preamp settings..

what bluetooth Headset are you using?

I was curious what bluetooth headset other Kaiser/Tytn II/Tilt owners are using.
I'm on the market looking for one and got recommended to buy the JawBone Aliph but the reviews of shody construction is turning me off to buying the first one.
So what bluetooth headsets are you using?
The BlueTooth I'm using in the number 4 incisor.
I believe this post is better suited for the Kaiser "Accessories" thread.
Jabra BT500
Jabra BT500 is a very comfortable, behind-the-ear headset that i have been using for a long time now.
Ultra Mini Bluetooth Headset here, it was cool 4 years ago...now it just sucks, looking at getting the Motorola S9's here.
I use & love my Sony S9.
Got it around X-mas from AT&T $95.00 - $30.00 mail in rebate
Pros:
Great for music. Stereo
Light & Comfortable
Battery last days with moderate to heavy use
Full controls on headset include answer, play, pause, volume up/down & fw/rev
Cons:
Mono Phone calls only
Because of design (wrap around back of head) uncomfortable to lay on back & listen to music, i.e weight bench
Damn i was wanting to use it while laying down ! (weight bench) that sucks...how is it to wear them around the chin (TWSS 'if you don't know it google it') ?
I was looking into getting the Jawbone but hearing some of the reviews and the overall reviews at amazon, it certainly is turning me off to it.
I'm thinking of going platronics since my moto H350 sucks hard.
I have the Blue Ant Z9i. IMHO, it is the best HS I've used to date.

I second that! Great quality, very stable. Can be connected to two phones at the same time. Only drawback is volume, it sometimes autoadjusts just a bit too low, you can set it higher manually.
But overall it's great. It remembers 8 pairings, so I can use it with my laptop, my personal mobile (SE K550) and my business phone (TyTN II) without repairing it every time. Voice dialing only works with the last paired device but picking up calls from two phones that are connected to it at once, works.
It also has A2DP profile support, so listening to music with it is nearly "OK". Much better anyway than just directing sound to the headset with the normal profile (handsfree or headset, can't remember).
Another vote for the Moto S9
I've gone through several, but the Moto S9 is the one I settled with. Since I listen to music on a regular basis, these were a no brainer. What hooked me on them wasn't the GREAT sound quality; it was the fact that the person I was talking to could HEAR ME. The only negative is it plays in the left ear only on phone calls, but the volume is loud enough to compensate. Besides, your phone and most other BT headsets play in one ear only, so it's not that big a deal.
The best advice I can give is to purchase at a local retailer that will allow you to bring them back if they don't work for you. I purchased mine at Fry's Electronics and I went through 5 different ones before I settled on the S9s. Even if you pay a few dollars more over an online place, it will be worth it to get the ones you like.
Moto S9 rocks!
It's a bit expensive, but the result is great!

i got the blueant z9 for at home use, and the jabra bt8010 for outside use. the stereo headset is great
I've used :
Motorola H700
Plantronics Voyager 510
Sony Ericsson HBH-PV702
Motorola H700
- Rather decent headset but callers complain that my voice is rather hollow
- Compact sized
- Lost the unit before I can give a better review
Plantronics Voyager 510
- Best unit I've used, very clear quality but abit on the expensive side
- Rather bulky
- Son broke the unit after 1 year of usage *sob*
Sony Ericsson HBH-PV702
- Lightweight, cheap !
- Voice quality varies i.e using it currently with my Kaiser, can hear static and BUT when paired with my wife's Sony Ericsson W850i, voice quality is very good.
i'm currently using a Sony Ericsson HBH-608 Lightweight Akono Bluetooth Headset. Had it about 8 months, and its been brilliant, good sound quality, comfortable and battery lasts ages. Cheap too, got it off eBay
I've found the Plantronics 655 and the new 925 to work the best. Both deliver good quality sound to the user. Reasonably rich sound with plenty of volume. They also offer noise cancellation comparable to the JB units.
I would though go with the 925 over the 655. The 925 fits better in the ear and depending on taste is a bit easier to use.
My most important message is that these units deliver quality sound with good volume. I have found most headsets to sound tinny and to lack volume when used with the Tilt.

Current best Bluetooth headset for use with 6800?

I am ready to try yor Bluetooth route. I have seen a lot of complaints about BT headset interfacing. What is the best one to use with the HTC 6800 to avoid problems?
this is not an easy question to answer. You do better searching BT review sites. As for me...I use the Jawbone and have no issues...you will see some here may have issues with the Jawbone but not for me. I can use the BT to answer calls, start MS Voice commands, and not one issue of not being heard, etc...and using dcd rom along with GC Audio update sound is very good in the ear piece.
I use a Plantronics Voyager 855, perfect call quality, perfect stereo audio, and flawless controls. First headset that has always worked fine for me.
The best bluetooth headset out there, for ANY device, is the Jawbone 2. Best clarity, best noise reduction by FAR, great battery life, magnetic charging, highly stylish, extremely well built construction, etc etc.
I think anyone that says otherwise hasn't used one. The only downside is price. But you get what you pay for as they say (sometimes).
I agree..
Jawbone works flawlessly. I haven't tried the new one but I like my current Jawbone and drive a 2500 trip 4 times a year and like the longer battery life of the original Jawbone. I also own a pair of Motorola S9's to use for stereo sound when I'm at the gym and love them. I have also tried the Voyager 855 and think it is another excellent choice but it didn't fit me well.
If you want a stereo bluetooth headset for listening to music or audiobooks (as well as a headset with a decent mic), the Plantronics 590 works quite well and a charge can last across a couple days with it turned on most of the time (but not broadcasting constantly). Plus you can pick them up for a song on ebay. My wife and I both got sets in the $40 range.
look up the Motorola S9... I love it!
After owning 30 headsets.....I think the best four are the Plantronics 510, 855 (for stereo), Jawbone, and blueant z9i. I personally think the plantronics are the best overall...but the jawbones are hard to beat when it comes to blocking out sound. The z9i does a great job at noise cancelation but I find the Planty just are more comfortable and have killer range and battery life than the Blueant and Aliph offerings. IM me if you want to chat more about each. Used them on my ppc's.
Heard many good things from people on the 855 in use with the htc phones...they are great for getting a headset that can be single or stereo in use.
I've got a jawbone which works great. Unfortunately, I have to carry two phones (for work and personal), and the jawbone can only connect to one at a time. I've heard that some plantronics headsets have some kind of multi-point technology, which I need to look into..
Another reason why I liked the Plantys over the jawbone was it does noise cancelation better but they do just about everything else better....mulitpoint works as advertised. They have a more pleasant frequency response while the jawbone is louder but higher frequency heavy. Not pleasantfor music listening. Blueants will do 5 phones, and a computer.
BlueAnt Z9 & Z9i work great for me...
I have the stereo Jabra BT620s's and the battery lasts for 16 hours straight. The sound is also excellent. Although, I do have a bigger head, and they do squeeze pretty tight. Excellent quality though.
I would recommend Jawbone for everybody. The best BT what I ever had. Loud and reliable.
Good job of bringing up a dead thread
Just to throw my choice into the mix, I have been using the Jabra BT3030 I think is the model. it's a dog tag with plug in headphones. great stereo sound, never had a complain with callers. you can choose whatever headphones you want to use with it. All the functions on the "dog tag" work great. controls volume, calling, brings up voice command. controls WMP, play/pause/track forward/back. and the best thing, like no one has even heard of it around here. gets a lot of comments
Having tried many headsets the absolute best I've used is made by BLUE PARROT ,the Roadwarrior BT150 not stylish but awesome audio quality in both directions, its biggest drawback for me is 5hr talk time but driving a truck for a living will teach the value of noise cancellation. Second choice is my jawbone II its lightweight and does a decent job of noise rejection with awesome battery life. Just my 2 cents!
I have owned a few blue tooth headsets, and while I really liked the Jawbone, I honestly feel the Blue Ant Z9i is by far the best bluetooth. I don't have any problems out of it and it works excellent with the Microsoft Voice Command.
+1 to the Jabra BT3030. I use it fir weightlifting as well as everyday use. Its a great device. Also, It lets you connect to your phone for calls, AND connect to your ipod/other bluetooth device AT THE SAME TIME and will switch your music playing off when someone calls, to connect you, and then lets you go right back to rockin'..
Overall, this is my 2nd headset, I've loved every minute ive used it.

I use a cheap one that looks like a Shuffle that you plug whatever headphones you want into. Got it on DealExtreme for like $20. It works ok for the money.

Head Phone Sound Quality

I've been looking through the forums in anticipation if getting an Atrix and have read the topics on the speaker quality. However, I didn't really read how the quality of sound is through headphones. I have a nice pair of headphones so I want it to sound good. So my questions are:
1. Does the Atrix have a Wolfson amplifier??
2. How does it compare to the Infuse or SGS2??
I can't answer your first question, but I have a pair of Dr. Dre Beats (yea i know i know, but they do sound pretty good) and I personally think the sound quality is better than the infuse. My cousin has an infuse and I played the same track on both phones with my headphones and I preferred the sound on the Atrix. Your best bet is to go to an AT&T store (or whoever your atrix provider might be) and bring your headphones and ask them to let you try out both and judge for yourself. Although music itself and even certain equalizer settings are subjective, I think you will get a pretty good idea on which one "sounds better".
Two thumbs up for sound quality.
I am probably one of the very few people here who replaced their SGS2 with Atrix 4G.
SGS2 sound quality is not bad, but its not great either. Specially if you are using it on EDGE network which does happen to me when I am not in 3G coverage area.
Anyway, coming to Atrix, its one of the best sounding handsets I have used after original Galaxy S. Output is clean, loud enough and free of distortions/clipping even at high volume on earphones and headphones.
To be honest, 8/10 people will not be able to decide which sounds better Atrix or SGS2 or infuse.
And with cheap headphones, its even harder to decide which one is better.
My opinions here are with Audio Technica ATH M50, Brainwavz M2 and Nuforce NE700.
My only problem is that it seems that the volume is overall pretty low (i.e. I find myself keeping the slider close-ish to the top). When I'm outside walking to and from class, the city sounds almost drown out my music even when I have it at max...I know it's not the headphones, because I use them on all of my music playing devices, and they are just fine elsewhere. The sound is good, but the max volume seems to be set low...Messing with the equalizer in my music player (PowerAmp) helps..
Yeah its a wolfson dac not amp which is what really matters. Overall the phone sounds very good especially considering its a freaking phone. Ive used Beyerdynamic dt 770 80ohm pros, etymotic mc5's, grado sr80i's, and most impressively my Magnepan MC-12 planar speakers with the phone. They all sounded just fine, not jaw dropping or anything but just fine and fairly balanced throughout. If you have good copies of your music and decent headphones the atrix will take care of you if your not too picky. Much more so if you have an external headphone amp. you'd be surprised how much something little like this
http://www.amazon.com/FiiO-E5-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B001P9EQH8
can improve sound quality not to mention get you to the volume you want.
Also don't mess around with equalizers too much they have a tendency to distort music no matter what your sourcing it from.
happy listening \m/d>_<b\m/

The sound via a a2dp headset is fine, no where near as good as 3.5 jack but same can be said about the gs2. I will miss my Atrix as I loved the audio quility
Sound quality over bluetooth on Motorola S9-HD headset is great as far as I am concerned. No issues with volume either. I keep media volume maxed, and control headset volume from headset. It will go much louder than I use it at, and it drowns out any ambient sound easily.

Audio Quality Thoughts

So I just got my HTC U11 today and spent a few hours setting it up. I finally got around to trying out the phone's audio capabilities.
USonic - they sound good for out of the box earphones, but they're definitely not as good as my V-Moda Forza's. I could tell immediately. I doubt I'll use this.
DAC adapter - I'm conflicted. I'm still trying to decide whether or not the adapter sounds as good as my HTC 10. My initial impression is that it's not as good. The 10 has a cleaner, fuller soundstage. I'm really bummed about the BoomSound Dolby and tuning mode not being present on the U11. I've never really listened to the 10 without that mode on, so maybe that's the reason. The U11 doesn't sound bad though.
What do you guys think?

Pretty much this, most people will love it but I think anyone who had a HTC 10, an Axon 7, S7 Edge (Exynos, volume modded) will notice a bit of a step down. More so the AMP is weak rather than the DAC being bad (although Juan at PocketNow numbers show the DAC to be worse than the HTC 10, Axon 7, S7 Edge, iPhone 7).
I'm contemplating getting a Fiio K1
I just compared the sound quality between my 10 (without BoomSound on) and the U11, and they do sound quite similar.
This leads me to my disappointment -- why did they remove the BoomSound frequency tuning from the U11? It's nice that they have it for the USonic earphones, but why would you need to create multiple audio profiles for those earphones, if there's literally only one pair of earphones that can take advantage of that feature.
I'll have my thoughts later today using a dt770 as my comparison between the 10 and 11. They normally require more power than my HD600. I don't use high impedance/low sensitivity HPs with phones anyway but I figured I'd test.

Wondering this as well, you can't edit the audio profiles anyway so what is the point in having more than one profile
I've been happy about the audio quality so far. The problem I have is that we only get 1 of the DAC to 3.5mm adapter cables included. Now in order to use my music at home, in car, and at work I now have to carry the cable around with me. It is not ideal to have to carry around an adapter. Getting the included earphones is cool (sound okay) but would rather received a total of 4 adapter cables.
I went to order 4 more and found out that they are in pre-order status. I'll just have to wait until they come in. Once I have an adapter everywhere then I won't be so pissy about it. Really wish they would have kept the 3.5mm, then phone would be considered my best phone ever.

There really was no need to remove it, only to use a worse DAC/AMP in the adaptor.
GSM spoke highly of the headphone output. (http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_u_11-review-1620p6.php)
Great audio output
The HTC U11 did splendidly in the first part of our audio test. When hooked to an active external amplifier it delivered very loud and perfectly accurate output.
When headphones come into play the volume remains nicely high and the only reading to take a hit is stereo crosstalk. It's a moderate amount of damage there and will all the other aspects of the performance remaining excellent, it's a great showing overall.
HTC U11 (headphones attached)
Frequency response: +0.05, -0.11 (+0.05, -0.02)
Noise Level: -94.1 (-93.7)

IMD + Noise: 0.0067 (0.105)
Stereo crosstalk: -94.5 (-53.7)
HTC 10 (headphones attached)
Frequency response: +0.01, -0.03 (+0.06, -0.09)
Noise Level: -93.2 (-92.8)
Dynamic Range: -93.2 (93.0)

My own personal experience, I found my DT770 to sound great but was 2 notches of volume below the 10. The 10 at volume 13/15 was the U11 at 15/15. I definitely can hear the crosstalk difference GSM has measured. Heard that before I saw the measurements. Overall, I can definitely live with this. Just hope I don't put myself in situations where I need to charge and listen.
My first impressions are that I'm not particularly impressed by the Usonic earphones - but then I don't usually use the earbuds that come with a phone.
Given the reviews here, I was a bit surprised to find the sound from the U11 adapter sounds better on first hearing than I was getting from the HTC 10, but then I haven't yet done a proper A-B comparison - it could be I was playing it a bit louder, or 'new device' enthusiasm...
As I said it already the 3.5mm adapter lacks Boomsound and this make a big difference with HTC 10, HTC can implement it in the FW of the adapter but we need to let them know we want it.

Agreed. I can see the logic behind HTC's decision, and I actually don't disagree with it. They dropped the headphone jack but added noise cancellation and a decent pair of earphones. This targets that iPhone userbase that only uses the awful in-box white ear buds. It's definitely better value for the money for the average user.
Perhaps they needed to compromise on sound quality, but it still sounds pretty fantastic with the adapter. It may not sound as good as the 10 (honestly though it's pretty close), but I'm not mad about it.
Which Boomsound speaker mode do you guys prefer? Music it theater mode? I feel like music more is crisper while tester is a bit longer but muddier.

I use theatre mode all the time but yes it is muddier than music mode which sacrifices volume for better audio quality
About stereo crosstalk can you ''fix'' it with V4A?
Or there are no way to enhance stereo?

I usually use theatre mode. If I'm playing through the speakers, volume is more important to me.
On another note, I'm having this horrible issue with BT audio. When playing music in google play music through BT earphones (jaybird x2) or my home speaker (LG soundbar), occasionally there's a really loud, awful screeching noise!
Anyone else have this issue?
Otherwise, BT audio is noticeably improved over the 10!

Was listening with aptX in my car for a while today and I had no issues along with noticing no difference. Same volume level when connected to an Audioengine B1 that has a 2 volt output to my Audison bit-Ten. Wish I could do a quicker back and forth test with my 10 but I'd have to sync the Bluetooth over and over.
I have to admit that I'm a little bit worried about the sound quality on the u11. One of the things that I really enjoyed on the m8 m9 and the 10 was the Dolby audio enhancement. I have been using that in combination with power amp music player for years and you'd be surprised what kind of sound quality I get out of my Sennheiser HD 558's. I can hear the bass in music the way it is meant to be heard, almost felt, I don't hear that distorted bass sound that you tend to hear on lower end devices.
This may sound stupid to some people but if the sound quality is not at least the same as what I get on my 10 then I'm going to send the phone back. I just got done trying out a $300 pair of Bluetooth headphones with my 10 and I was not impressed, they were close in some areas but for $300 I want more than close. There is a cheaper pair that I have been thinking about trying with the 11 but I'm not sure that I'm going to want to invest all of this money just to be able to say I own the new flagship, and get half decent sound out of it with headphones, especially when for all intents and purposes I'm perfectly happy with my 10.
Right before the phone ended up shipping out to me I was debating on canceling my order because once the feeling of new shiny device wore off I started the question what about the new phone actually got me excited and to be perfectly honest the answer for me is really nothing. I think edge sense could be cool but the apparent lack of support from case manufacturers has me a bit scared as well. I have never owned an all glass phone before and I don't think you could pay me enough to use this phone without any full-body protection I understand that the camera is much better but honestly I don't see a problem with the one that I have. So this could be the first year that I actually hang on to my phone.
I just paired this phone with the Fiio K1 DAC. Much better audio experience. The HTC 10 apparently was better than the K1 by about 10% so the fact that the K1 sounds so good compared to the adapter is quite telling
