I use a Defy with T-Mobile US Android 2.1. Everything worked fine until I started having problems with the stock browser. It starts fine, opens my home page. But when I select Bookmarks from the menu, I get a FC message "The application Browser (process.com.android.browser) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
If I install Skyfire, I can view my bookmarks, so I guess the Bookmarks file is not corrupt.
Any ideas?
Please help, anyone? Is it file permissions problem? Is the Browser apk corrupt? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Finally found a solution. Using ADB shell, navigated to /data/data/com.android.browser and deleted all the files in that folder. All my bookmarks are gone, but at least now I can create new ones and access them.

I had the same problem.
I used a program to manage favorites, and I found one with a symbol.
I changed the name using only letters, and now everything works again.
flash android 2.2 it is better than 2.1
On March 23rd, 2013, my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 began to act differently. In a few days, most of the apps would not open. I would get an error message: "The application ________ (process com.android._______) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force Close" This "crash" happened with the Browser, email, Kindle apps. I did the factory reset. Did not help. I then did the root process: Got the download target screen, opened OOdin3, selected PDA, chose Quens_P100_EF17_Rooted_PDA and it successfully "passed". It did not solve the problem. I assume I must have a corrupted OS, but that is just an educated guess.
Anyone out there got a solution? Thanks. John
for some reason, the message saying the google service framework force closes keeps popping up on my nook cm7 (7.0.2 stable). I tried reflashing gapps, disabling the syncing of my emails, and even uninstalling them, but nothing happened. >.<
anyone know how i can solve this?

I am having the same issue, the error "The application Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." and the very similar "The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." keep popping up.
I have tried deleting the davlik-cache, but it is still happening. On a similar note, my contacts app is missing and will not re-install. I believe this may have something to do with this error, so is there any way to force install a system app?
edit: I found that I had uninstalled contacts and contact data via Titianium, thankfully I had a back up and that seams to have fixed the problem.
TC maybe you should check to see if your contacts and contacts data files are still on your nook.
Hi,
I deleted some apps with system app remover not knowing the trouble you get when you remove google apps(total newbie). Then i couldnt download from the android market. I re-installed gtalk and gmail and solved the android market problem but now i get this error "the application google settings provider (process com.google.android.providers.settings) has stopped unexpectedly please try again". the error comes up seemingly randomly and does not affect operation of the phone but is quite annoying.
Does anyone know what i can do to fix this?
Thanks, Gordon.
I am getting
"The application Camera (process com.ti.omap3.android.camera) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
I have reset the device and re-loaded Android and all the apps above. Same problem. On uruk same thing happens.
Anyone have any suggestions?
ROM: MIUI
I loved handcent's widget before I switched to MIUI as well as its popup, but I keep getting an error whenever I try to run it on MIUI.
Right after installing I open it up and it immediately says it had to forceclose saying "The Application Handcent SMS (process com.handcent.nextsms) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
The error log is attached to this post. Any ideas?
I've tried pulling out the battery to restart the phone, but that didn't help.
Go to manage applications and clear the apps data. See is if that fixes it.
