Hello, i'd like to know if there are some registry tweaks to change the built-in image viewer, in order to make it open the images directly in landscape mode, and, more important, that they fit the screen width with their width.
At least, if someone could tell me where to find the registry keys I am searching, I would save myself some time...

I've somehow lost the "messaging' tab on the Today screen.
Been into Start, Settings, Today, Items and it isn't in there eithert :-(
Any idea's as to how I restore it ? It's still there on the start menu ....

try uninstalling an today applet if you install to many it start to remove some from your list
i'm not really sure why but removing an applet which you dont use often make them come back
there is also a regedit way to doing it but i cant recall it
I had a problem like this when I installed My|Phone.
I fixed it by deleting an item from the list in the registry
here is the path to the registry keys

I found the offending program, it was the MS Theme Generator (trying to design my own skin) ...
Removed that program and all is well, it has re-appeared !
BTW - anyone know what size the background skin should be ? Also - what's the best program to use to 'shrink' a jpeg to the required size ?

irfanview is a good free picture viewer and edit (a bit not any photoshop but resizing is ok)
that should let you change the size of your jpg
Does anyone know the name of the Mogul's calculator image files? I need to know what the names of the portrait and landscape files are for the calculator. These files would be in the .png format, and they would likely be in the Windows folder on the phone. These two files allow the phone's standard calculator to display in both landscape and portrait modes. Please let me know if you are aware of these names. After accidentally erasing these two image files, I'd like to get them back. I need to know their names first, though. Thanks a lot!

hi all, would like to ask if anyone have any experience editing thread_sms.htm other than just to change the size of the sms input box?
I experimented changing the other parameters in the file and it's corresponding css file but none of the changes took effect.
I am aware of the need to remove the system and read only attribute before editing.
Any one has any ideas to share?
if we can edit these 2 files, we might be able to do some minimal skinning for the sms app.
In file thread_sms.htm search the parameter height and set the value = 70 instead of 35 or 30 (not remember the original value). Restart pda and you will have a input text box for tree line text.
For change file you need to copy it in your PC and after recopy to pda, using resco explorer or total command.
erm. i think you misread my question. I know how to change the height of the sms box. I am asking if anyone has experience changing the other values?
Hmm. You tried changing which parameters? If it can be skinned with html, it will be marvellous!!
I've tried many roms and none have any special modifications that I am aware of. It would be cool to have it skinnable
You can customize font colors via the read_style.css stylesheet, and i've also seen someone put a background image in the sms view. It was just generic html code. I don't remember the details, but i saw the thread about it here, on xda-devs.

Has anyone found a decent (free) picture editor for the hd2? I really miss the simple samsung crop / rotate / colour balance prog that was in my omnia.
Also is there anyway i can just rotate pictures while viewing them in sense? I have tried the obvious rotating motions with no luck.

Hi...you dont need to get any software for that you just need to go into Multimedia and select Pictures & Videos. Now from here navigate to the photo you wish to edit and open it (it could be in a folder). Press Menu and press Edit. Now press Rotate in the bottom left-hand corner. Once you've change the orientation you can save this change..

When i cook a Rom i want to adjust font size in registry without "Start-Settings-System-Screen-Text Size. How can I do?
No need for the registry...just play with your zoom bar when looking a mail or sms. The size will change and stay that way until you change it again!
Isn't enough. The size of my contacts don't change. The letter is big and I want to modify small, like "pc_capture1".
