Guys, as i can see a lot of people has made the upgrade to GB, i can also see that theres a lot of procedures to do the process work. So, i'm asking to someone who has made it, to do a tutorial with all the steps, links to files and everything that we need to get the cellphone working.
I know, this take some time, so no rush, but it would be great.
Thanks

Hi,
thanks for clicking here.
I cant seem to find this posting, I saw it about 2-3 weeks, it was this guy who posted his complete modification instructions or things that he did, he backed them up. He made all these modifications and backed it up so that after a hard reset those can be restored without indivually installing each program and settings. I believe it was specifically for the Wizard/
CANT FIND IT????!!!
this is driving me crazy, can someone help me find that posting please?? I have been looking for it for hours now???
Everyone was really appreciative of him, he had the MOST complete and concise instructions, almost a whole page long!!!!
Thanks
Was it this one...?

Thanks a million.
BTW, i feel the search on this forum is a little heard right?? its hard to find the things U R looking for. What do U think?
Thanks again
Hello everyone this may be a silly question but I see a lot of talk about roms within these forums can someone please tell me what are roms and how to install them.
Are they like cab files? or is it more like a OS system for mobile devices...
Will Roms override the os system that's on my device now? thanks for any info on this
the rom is the whole OS, including any pre installed programs. It is a big file, around 200meg that gets flashed to the rom memory chip on your phone. When you boot for the first time, it configures (installs, sets itself up) itself onto your device.
If you install a new rom, it completely removes the old rom, so if you hard reset, you get a fresh copy of teh new rom, you can only go back to teh original rom by flashing the original one again.
Think of it a bit like the windows cd that you use to install your PC.
PLease dont reply with 'how do i do it?', , go and read, then tomorrow, read it all again, then read some more, and then read it all again. By saturday/sunday you should be ready to do a trial flash.

Wow! That's what I did and ya know what? It works.....Try it
HA! You have alot to learn.
? Thanks for reviving a long dead thread with nothing usefull! HA! ...seriously, please refrain from doing that...it clogs up the forums.
I flashed my first rom about 4 months ago using the how to section for noobs. I read it several times, did each step one at a time, testing at each stage to make sure I'd done it right and it works like a charm. Best place to start.

Um..........I'm sorry but i don't get this i've read this thread over and over, and it helped me understand what they are, but not how to use them or modify them........
I'm not trying to revive this thread for no particular reason, but understand what exactly happened, and learn about the topic of this thread.......
As mentioned, there are plenty of tutorials on how to install roms and all about roms in the forums

Dude I have the same question
i just rooted my phone and installed CM6 mod in it and VIDEOTAPED THE WHOLE THING. so, i could provide a detailed and labbeled step-by-step video guide if it is worth your attention. (i am able break the youtube upload limit of 15-minutes- dont ask me how). pls tell me if you would like to see the video guide. thank you very much. in case you all agree to the idea, i would mention your names in the vid! YAY
most of you might be asking me why i am making a new guide when there are so many existing guides?
answer: i could make this guide more detailed and i am very bored at home so got nothing better to do. ..And include in your comments anything you want to see inside the video so that i could add it in.
leave your postive/negative comments below and i will decide if i should make the video. thankyou very much.

I would think posting a video on how to unlock the bootloader is better since there are a lot of people wanting to try but just don't know where to start.
wow

Hello everyone. I am making this thread in hopes that somebody could make the patch for us? I would download the pre-built one but i assume the dev removed links because multiupload.com is down. The member yagya made a tutorial on how to patch any rom, here it is. Can anybody give it a go?
Much Thanks!!
http://yagyagaire.blogspot.com/2012/02/how-to-make-pdroid-patch-for-any-custom.html?m=1
Thank you svyat, you are a awesome person!
Um u do realize with that tutorial u can make that for the rom ur using extremely simple. Follow instructions and try on ur own. Its rom specific so doing in masses means making one for multiple roms which would be extremely tedious.
Yes i do. I'm no n00b, i would be 100% capable of making my own patch, but i don't own a computer or know anybody who would let me use one. This is the file svyat had a direct link to but its been removed. https://www.dropbox.com/s/dhwxh5dtkhpsja1/PDroid-HTC-Evo-4G-CM-7.1.zip It worked perfect and i had a backup but my memory card had an error and deleted all my files.
Can somebody help? Please??
I've been searching around for quite a bit now and can't find a guide that's easy enough for me to understand.
I'm trying to install this ROM on my HD2: (Android 4.0.4)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434860
I've read through it multiple times but can't figure out what are they steps I need to follow in order to get it running. I also tried the search function and couldn't find anything I could easily understand. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm really new to this stuff.
So, does anyone know of a good, simple step-by-step guide to to install Android on the HD2? Thanks! :good:
Installing Android is pretty tricky for beginners.
When I first started, this was the guide that helped me the most:
http://www.htchd2android.com/how-to/how-to-install-android-on-htc-hd2-android-4-0-4/
It's really easy to follow and helped me tremendously. I used their 4.0.3 guide back when I did mine, but that one looks to be very similar and uses a newer version.
Hope that works out for you. :good:
Thanks for the link, I haven't really had time to look through it yet but I'll be sure to check it out now.
BTW, is that a good ROM to use or would you suggest another one? Thanks again.
