When I received my refurbished attic they didn't include the sd card so I was wondering if there was a way to forgo having one but still flash rom's sideload and all that good rubbish.

the atrix does not come with a sd card. it has 16gb built in storage memory, so just install applications and download things as you would and u shouldn't be running out of space anytime soon.
Go into best buy, spend 9.99 and get a micro sd card.
Indeed the phone has 16 gigs of internal storage....what do you think this is an Inspire?

No its on the 2gb card. Transfer that if ya want. I used phone to move it to internal, then put in my 8gb and moved it there from internal using astro file manager. ..
just wondering if anybody else had this issue. about 200 files ranging from pics to vids just vanished from my sd card. i'm running skyraider 2.5.2
Check to see if your sd card is mounted?
Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
I just had the same thing happen. Card was still mounted. Lost most of my clockwork mod download folder. All the stuff I downloaded in Rom manager. Even my copy of skyraider! Crazy. Running skyraider 2.5.2.

i wonder if its something to do with skyraider 2.5.2 and yes my card was mounted. its just upsetting because i lost most pics and videos of my kids and havent backed up the sd card to my pc in a few months
What brand is your card and where did you get it?
I have a sandisk 8GB from wal-mart.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
i have a 16GB sandisk from verizion that i've had for about a year
I'm having no issues at all using a 32GB Sandisk card with Sky Raider 2.5.2 Sense.
Umm
... ok different cards, but is everyone running the same ROM?
as a said in the first post im on skyraider 2.5.2 with sence
I have a 4GB card, had it for over 2 years now, and I have just within the last few hours experienced this as well... The files seemed to have disappeared from my phone's view, but were still on the card though.
2.5.2 w/sense.
Hey any time I insert my micro sd that has more then about 300mg of stuff on it my TF will keep restarting and not read whats on the disk. It works fine on the computer and I've ran a virus check / reformatted the card and I still can't figure out the problem.. any advice? It's a Class 4 Duracell micro SD.

Yeah pushed the wrong key. And yes apparently they do. I'm wondering if it's the quality of the card?
Also what file system does the TF accept? I've been formatting the card to FAT32 (the one my computer automatically chooses)..?
what class? just for for a test try another micro SD card and see if u have the same issue

Yup just did that, swapped it with the one out of my phone. Formatted both, loaded them up and the duracell works fine in the phone and the the other which has been perfect in my phone for months is doing the same thing to the TF. It seems that if there's too much stuff on the the TF goes holy **** **** too much! and crashes / restarts.
EDIT: it's a class 4
I'm going to try putting movies on instead of music... maybe it's the mp3 files...
Ok so now my TF is barely even recognizing the sd card... it'll say preparing sd card when i insert it but if i click on the file viewer there's nothing in it.. then 30 seconds later the little icon disappears and no more sd card found... **** this is getting annoying.. and im far away from civilization for work..
i was going to downgrade to 3.01 from the leaked 3.1 now i can't even do that.
Quick question. Can I format SD and microSD using the Transformer? I'm guessing this would be the most compatible alternative. I'm not yet rooted.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium App
I can't find an option to do that no.

I see my phone says that its 8 GB on the storage page, but then why does only 4GB show up as useable? Is there any way to change this also is there a way to install apps to SD card?
As far as I know only the dev edition with an unlocked bootloader will free that 4 gigs up. The retail RAZR m has the internal memory partitioned. 4gig for the OS and 4 gig for user app storage.
Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2
So APPS2SD isnt working on retail one?
I haven't had any luck with an app for moving apps. I've just shuffled them with root browser.

The way motorola set up the storage directories tricks app data to be placed on the internal storage. Its named sdcard. Then you got sdcard1 which is your actual sdcard. Its easy to move your music, pics, videos or movies onto the sdcard. However large amounts of additional game data is installed in internal. Should you move the data to sdcard1, the games won't detect them (with bards tale being the only exception). Moto did this on purpose to get you to buy their other droid with slight hardware improvements and larger storage areas. Now, to truly move data to the sdcard, you will need to gain root and install an app called directory bind. Which allows you to move data over to the actual sdcard using directory path manipulation.
IIRC its the norm to store data on internal sd in android... Not just a Motorola marketing scheme

I did not paid attention when people started to complain about the low memory matter and ended up buying a 16GB i9500, now that I know what's the problem is there an alternative for this? what do you recommend ?
Get a micro sd card and u r good to go

Like what Saad2687 said. My advise dont get scandisk though. I have samsung 32 gig class 10 and its amazing.
Yes I got a 32GB Samsung, but the thing is with the installations and all the bloat, is there something I can do? With my S3 I used aroma debloater it was awesome it left my phone free of non useful stuff.
Brother i am infact using sandisk 32gb class 10 micro sd from past 20 days and its great no problems at all.

Use onboard storage only for apps and move media (photos, songs, videos) and documents onto SD card. But dont cheap out to buy any no name or cheap class 4 card. Class 10 is a must.
Root ya phone and grab titanium backup. You can uninstall about 900mb of crap such as eye scrolling etc...

As the others said, get a SD card. Also VERY helpful is Folder Mount as it lets you remap the /sdcard/Android folder from the internal memory to the external SD card which gets around the problem that most apps want to store everything inside those folders or directly in /sdcard.

32 GB external SD Card
Move anything that isn't apps (music, movies, any extra files) onto the external SD card. Get at least a 32gb and you should be golden.
Save to the SD instead internal memory

get another 16/32 Gig card, that should suffice.
i am suing sandisk 16 gig for the past 1 year and no issues till now, and most of the times its a life saver as i keep everything in my sd card (music pic etc)...
My setup which 16gb users might like.
My phone is 16gb
My sdcard is 32gb
But thays not enough space so i added an extra 64gb via usb
The method to mount usb is OTG in a modified case.
(*please note just use the usb when you need it as it obviously drains battery faster)
Here is a image of modified case

This didn't work for me.
/sdcard is a link to /storage/emulated/0
that's internal mounted fuse
/storage/extSdCard is real sdcard mounted normally.
It's 4.2s storage problem
in previous versions it was as.simple.as editing fstab.

I don't really put a lot of stuff on my phone as I have a separate mp3 player on me at all times, so the space taken up by bloat wasn't really a problem. I already had a 32GB card on me though so I slapped that in.
