Following the news that Samsung would be bringing an LTE-enabled 4.5 inch Samsung Galaxy S II codenamed Celox, Korean outlet ET News has heard from “industry insiders” that the device will have a Super AMOLED HD display instead of the Super AMOLED Plus.
The differences between the two are resolution – the HD is 1280×800 with 300ppi while Plus is 480×800 with 216ppi. It’s also believed the Super AMOLED HD display will use pentile matrix instead of the RGB we’ve all come to know and love.
The shots we saw earlier of this supposed device suggest it’ll have hardware buttons, but to have a Super AMOLED HD display on this bad boy means we could be looking at a launch with Ice Cream Sandwich. That’s just speculation for the time being, though. For now, we’re just happy that Samsung has decided to stop stretching a WVGA resolution onto 4-inch-plus displays. [Thanks Eric! Tablet display shoot-out: Galaxy tab 10.1 wins

http://www.displaymate.com/Tablet_ShootOut_2.htm
"And the Winner is…
While the iPad 2 display easily outperformed all of the previous Android Tablets, with the new Galaxy Tab 10.1, Samsung has delivered the first Android Tablet with an impressive, potentially outstanding display, but then ruined it by turning up the color level to obnoxious levels – apparently in an effort to overcompensate and blatantly standout from the other mobile LCD displays that have subdued color. But in the case of color, too little is a lot better than too much… As a result the iPad 2 still delivers the best color picture quality and accuracy of all of the Tablets, even though its colors are somewhat subdued. As things stand, based on all of the display tests, the iPad 2 and Galaxy Tab 10.1 are reasonably close in performance in most categories, so it’s almost a tie, but the Galaxy Tab is ahead more often than the iPad 2, so the Galaxy Tab is the Winner, by a nose… But should Samsung or Android add a color picture control to the Galaxy Tab with a software update as we describe below, then the Galaxy Tab would be the decisive Winner, by a lot. Of course, Apple could do the same… What is also impressive is that the iPad 2 is still delivering top display performance close to what many predict is the end of its product cycle, with lots of interesting predictions for the Next Generation, which we discuss and analyze below."
Touch wiz has some color settings but they are awful. I will never understand why there arent any display settings like on a tv.
touchwiz does have settings but i wish the settings were like original galaxy tab....touchwiz also seems less laggy.

Is the greenish-yellow display tint still there? share your thoughts

The S5's display has been lauded by many websites as a solid improvement over previous AMOLEDs.
Yet some mention a green tint, including an extensive AnandTech review.
Please share your thoughts on this if you received your device.
Yes it's still there. But not as bad as previous models.. All my note 3 Was really bad, but the s5 i Think is better and not so greenish looking tint

Wish they'd just get rid of it completely.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge international giveaway![closed]

This week another awesome giveaway please enter to win Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge international giveaway, Don't miss the chance:fingers-crossed:
Giveway direct link:
http://gvwy.io/h21ncri
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge is the phone to have if you want to stand out from a crowd of nondescript slabs. Featuring a sleek aluminum frame and a mirror-smooth glass back, the S6 Edge looks and feels truly premium. But it’s the dual sloping edges that really make this phone stand out, both in terms of looks and functionality – the edges can act as a customizable notification light when the phone is placed on its screen, or as a notification area that gives you key info at a glance.
On the inside the Galaxy S6 Edge is almost identical to the S6, offering best in class specs, including a 14-nm processor, 3GB of RAM, a 16MP camera, and a Quad HD AMOLED screen. Everything is packed into a compact and light body, available in four colors.
With the Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung really delivered what people have been clamoring for: a truly premium phone, with no compromise in terms of functionality.
