I have a Droid X with OTA GB. I am aware that I can't root, which is not a problem didn't root Froyo. I use it with my Xoom(3.2 OTA) and bluetooth tether it for internet access. Lately it has been rebooting itself after 10-15 minutes of being tethered. I am not sure why it keeps doing that or if there is a fix. I was wondering if there were any wifi tether apk's for a non-rooted GB.
I have the same issue on a rooted droid x.

i tried pre 11 to it doesnt work?
I had my A500 connecting to my Cisco IpSec with no issues on 3.0, but since updating to 3.1, the VPN starts and says connected, but no traffic passes. Not even non-vpn traffic. Like it kills the routing all together.
I am on stock ROM 4.010.10_COM_GEN2, kernel 2.6.36.3, rooted, using the VPN_Connections_v099.apk.
I have tried both the tun.ko I was using before the update (thor's).
I also tried the one from thor's k2.6.36.3-00005-g5dff38c, but that causes force close of the VPN software.
Has anyone gotten the this working since the 3.1 update?
Working now. Installed busybox1.7 (had 1.8). That seems to be the trick.
I have a US wifi only xoom
It has been rooted on android 3.1 stock for months with bigrush dogs kernel.
Today I decided to upgrade to 3.2 using solarnz hammerhead. So I performed a nandroid backup, booted back into cwm and then wiped, then flashed hammerhead and then proceeded to reboot. upon rebooting I was ask to connect to wifi and now I cannot connect to wifi for anything. Every network I try to connect to just says connecting or says nothing and never connects. So I flashed my nandroid backup to go back to normal and I still have the same issue. I can't connect to wifi. Anyone here know anything at all?
Thanks for you help
Wanted to post an update to this problem. Apparently when I flash a new update my system name changes in my routers Mac address settings. My router then automatically blocks my xooms Mac address so I had to unblock it in the router. Never experienced this with my evo. Fyi. I have a 2wire router with Att
I actually experienced the same problem the first time that I flashed hammerhead. I thought it was a fluke or had something to do with the wifi issues that I have had with all of the 3.2 roms, including stock 3.2 on the xoom and the transformer. I just flashed back to tiamat 1.1 wiped again and then reinstalled hammerhead. That did the trick for me.
So I dont exactly know what is going on. I go to connect to a wireless network and it will start to connect, say its obtaining IP adress, and then refresh and start all over again. It never actually connects and stays connected. I know its not the router because I have tried numerous networks (that worked before) and now they just stopped working. I did have trouble with root and I re unlocked the tablet because root wasn't working. Is there anyway I messed something up? I installed the 3.2.2 rooted rom and now I flashed back to moray both with the same non-working wifi result.
Anyone know what is going on?

Did you by chance restore system apps and data through Titanium Backup? Sometimes wifi is messed up by restoring a previous version of the system app and data over a newer version supplied by a custom Rom.
You might want to just wipe everything in recovery, reflash your Rom and set it all up again fresh.
my WIFI was messed up when I swiched Kernels way back. I had forgotten to push one of the files... when you switched ROMs, did you wipe first or did you just install one over the other?
have similar issue after going from hammerhead 3.2 to moray 2.2.2.
Infrastructures wifi works fine, but whe trying to connect the xoom to an ad-hoc (from Nokia jokiuspot) just keeps displaying "obtaining IP address". Never had a problem with hammerhead? Guessing it has something to do with the dchp client on the Xoom¿
Certainly not a big problem, and something I am more than happy to live with as is.
everything else working spot on. Using a UK wifi only!
After upgrading to N via OTA, i noticed that my wifi tethering was not working. Connected devices didn't not have Internet access.
Anyone else has that issue?
Any fix?
Thanks
