As the title says, I think it would be interesting to know how much percents of you have a cypress/ synaptic digitizer,what colour your X8 is and where you bought it
Every month I will post the refreshed stats for interested people. Personaly I have a black synaptic , bought in Belgium.
So tell me guys, wich one do you have ? (are you happy with it ?)

Cypress, and YES!! I`m very happy with it, it`s a little bonus to an already good phone, and an amazing ROM (MiniCM7 2.0.5a)

synpatics on both my x8 and my wife's. both white x8's, could people please state which colour x8 they have, i heard the cypress is more common in black x8, just curious.

Black one, Cypress digitalizer. And yeah, I'm pretty much satisfied with it.
So it seems that there is no guarantee of getting a cypress, just luck. Thanks for telling us what colour x8 you have guys.

if you already have the X10, then you should go for the play
wow congrats that is awesome!!
Definitely arc, play has a horrid screen and I think the novelty would wear off quickly
And don't forget that the strips that slide the keypad out wears out fast.
If you get a play you are risking some mechanical damage since the strips are the weak spots of the phone =/
+1 for the Arc =D, hopefully they already have CWM and CM7 working lol

sgs2 is a freakin' powerhouse
I like the play.. the line up of games looks good.
I have not seen the screen, but i really love the controls.
I am a psp fan.. but i would rather get a psp2 for that.
I would prefer a device with the Dual Core Tegra Chipset with the play's Dual Analog Touch Pads.
So my vote is on nothing right now.
Haha, yeah I wish they were dual core, but its a FREE phone lol. So which one do you think I should get?

Nice decison... the SGS2 is a beast of a phone!
Choose between the arc and play, get whichever one is more expensive so that you can sell it for more.
If they are the same price, go with the arc. Its a beauty.

Does anyone know what is going on with UK stock for this? It's been out at most places since before easter and the likes of CPW are still saying >14days for stock.

This is what I'd heard, which is fair enough. It's just that I haven't actually seen a SE source confirming. SE tweeted to someone the other day just saying "its been out and available for weeks"
That earth quake is correct carphone warehouse told me that cause they had a conference with se but the only place I could find the arc is with 3 network thats how I got mine

Is your arc still on uk firmware ? if so any chance u could upload as an .ftf i am desperatley looking for stock 3 firmware to send my back for repair

Right I sent mine to 3 cause I cracked screen and it was sim unlocked they told me it didn't matter which firmware I had on aslong as it was stock mate it doesn't have to be 3s own really but they did sim lock it so they unlocked it for free but I was arguing with them over it just flash any generic ftf mate that will do

I know o2 have stopped the arc as i had to get a replacement for my other arc but had to go for a neo instead, just glad i had 2 arcs as i woulda had to spend more money on one myself

I wonder if 3 has stopped selling arcs now then cause I would love a free upgrade to arc s I know there ain't much difference but a new phones a new phone lol

just use wotanserver... You can pick any official firmware from there. No need to root or unlock bootloader. Just download and flash!

you just need to register and download the client (.exe file)
Then start the file, login and connect the device. Then you can choose which firmware you want to flash... It really is very easy to use, but you cannot find a flashable file on the website. It is downloaded within the process...

hey guys..
okay, here's my problem. i dropped my Xperia x8 and there's a crack on the screen. and because of that, i can't use the phone as the crack damaged about three quarter of the screen. the question is, i've decided to change the screen but will the new screen replace my digitizer (cypress)?
It all depends on the screen. If u want cypress, tell the shop. U can check at the chip attached to the screen

I had screen replaced and I think they only changed screen not digitizer (which is part of front mask).
But I'm not 100% sure

Im thinking of getting the arc s...i have the arc s with me now...im going test it till tuesday. I honestly fell in love as soon as I seen it just as I did with the arc. I am thinking of having either both devices or just the one. I prefer arc s obv the processor difference and the internal memory. Plus it looks sexy in white.

Just a little heads up that the phone is slightly curved on the outer rim around the screen so screen protector might not stick nicely around the edge due to the gap cause by the curve.

You can go for 1 year contract with Starhub OR if u want to buy without contract go to Naranjan Mobiles at Farrer Park Road, u will find the best deal there..

Yeah, today I have used SGS3 and it was pretty cool, It wasnt as good looking as Xperias but its NOT ugly by any means..brilliant screen, smooth scrolling, no lag whatsoever..
Going to buy in couple of weeks, waiting for some price drop
I will skip Xperia this year!!!

Just here to join the party Phones bought here in Singapore should work with any carrier in the world (of course it wont work on 4G) cus all the phones here cannot be locked to carriers according to some rules i heard awhile back. im undecided between sIII or the Nexus (yeah i know huge spec difference) but the ease of unlocking and hacking is a huge win!

How's the warranty like if I buy from Naranjan or mustafa? Do they have international warranty?
The only thing I noted is the slight yellow tint.... hmm I will need another set to compare
