Hello friends, I have X10 on Global Generic 2.1, so tired of waiting and hope for 2.3.3 for it, I need to know, what languages included in the CUSTOM regional roms, like Generic UK/ TH etc, is there a list or wiki that can help me?
*I know guys that there is "morelocale" app, but it not translate all, and I just want built in Hebrew menu support, the keyboard mostly do have Hebrew, but what about the menu?
**And also hate all that bloatware on the customs, so yes they do indeed generic, but still no as clean as Global, that btw work better then any custom there...
***of course I can just flash all the FW on the list here for 2.3.3 but it's take time that I don't have, I work most of the day.

Hi,
I bought an Xperia in Sweden today and I would like to change the language to English as I feel more comfortable using it.
I called the Xperia specific Sony Ericsson support and they seemed to have a good technical understanding, asking me if I knew about Ruu-files.
They were looking into it because they had many people asking about that. Does anyone know if theres any problems with loading different language roms onto a phone. What would likely happen when pressing region-specific letters like å,ä, and ö?
I`m in the same situation. I need english or latvian.
I have been playing with exec roms.
There is also paragon soft that should make the wm to latvian. but after install it crshes. can not acces programs.
is there a vay to read the rom from phone?
Hey, sorry if this has already been posted on how to change language, but i have some specific questions i would like to ask.
1) I bought the Touch HD from Taiwan and the language of it is Traditional chinese, i was actually thinking that it was an international phone and would have several languages to choose from... but apparently not.
How would i go about changing the language from chinese to english?
What would i have to do?
2) If i change the language, do i lose everything that is currently on my phone?
Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
You could just flash a new Rom, it will change the phone to that Rom and replace what you currently have, a lot of Roms have the same stuff just tweaked for better performance so you would not lose much.
That is assuming your not on a phone carrier plan of course, check out the different roms to suit what you want
This phone was bought outright so im assuming im not carrier locked (Kinda hard seeing as im in australia and it was bought in taiwan )
So i would have to use HardSPL?
There are two options to do it there are excellant directions for both in the ROM section I used HardSPL but the choice is yours
Hi Guys,
I just finally got my TMobile HD2 and need the phone to be able to read Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
I would also like to be able to write Chinese on it although I still want to have the english interface on the phone.
I have looked up and read numerous threads in this forum about adding Chinese support but there seems to be just way too many different programs such as QQ input, CE Star, Shugou, etc that has confused me.
(I actually tried and installed QQ pinyin input, however they were still squares. I assume its because I don't have the font installed. I tried this because I haven't HSPL'd my phone and am worried about doing it since I'm a complete noob.)
Also, there seems to be a way to read and write chinese characters but after flashing the ROM to an Energy ROM or other compatible ROM FIRST which I found from another thread.
For all of you who have experience in this, what is the easiest way where I can
read and write Chinese and just also be able to read Japanese and Korean?
I would really appreciate the help!
Google RickyMSYH6.0FullBD to read chinese
Try this site, they have chinese rom and english rom that support chinese.

make sure it's for t-mobile or else you might brick your hd2.
good luck
Hello people, I got some prototype from my work with the 4.0 update, there was most of the languages, plus the Hebrew (for menus to), been stupid and flashed the old 145 UK Generic, and now no Hebrew for the menus, also it was there before I made Factory reset.
What is that? I remember flashing Germany Generic for some E10 and there was Hebrew for menus, and it stay there even after Factory Reset.
can you help? I can ask at my job t flash it again, but just want to know why there no Hebrew for menus in UK Generic, also suggest me $ service, if they can work with prototypes
BTW, I have X10 prototype, that from start was .435 from "Pelephone", it's Israeli cellular network. so I flashed .435 Global World, and there was Hebrew for menus, so explain me what I missed with the R800? that got no Hebrew menus?
Any help my friends?
Searched for one too /:
you won't find one
the only thing you can do is wait to october we will get 2.3.4 with build - in hebrew
what about global generic ? if it exists.. ?
I'm a serious noob. I din't know what is ROM or HSPL before today. I just got a gift, HTC Touch2 which has Italian as default language. Now, I need to change it to English. I know I have to flash my phone with Eng ROM, but here is the problem. My idea about flashing, HSPL, ROM are not clear.
Can someone be kind enough to give me brief suggestions to do it and explain the process briefly..
Also, there are thousands of ROMs avaiable in the forum, but all are somehow customized. I need a fresh official ROM which won't change my phone anything except the language. All links in the HTC Thouch2 ROM database (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=578915) are dead! So, where do I find such kind of ROM?
Thanks in advance
You don't need to change entire ROM just for languag change. I say, look in the book, there'll be something about it. Every official ROM comes preloaded with several languages. Try fidgeting around in the settings. You'll find some option.
Thanks, but that wasn't useful

Click to collapse
I have visited every settings in the phone and I'm pretty sure that this ROM has no option to change language.
First try going to Settings -> System -> Regional Settings and changing it to English (country). It "may" work for you, depending on the ROM you have currently.
Otherwise, you'll have to flash an English ROM onto the mobile
