I was messing around with rom manager today and saw this. Guess birdman is going to release a rom soon?

Yes it will be called FlyX and he will later release one (about a week or so) vanilla ROM.

What rom manager is that you're using?

He should have FlyX out pretty soon here. He was going to have it out last night but ran into some bugs.
FlyX is just going to be a deodexed froyo build with bloatware removed. (still awesome)
But within the next couple of weeks he'll have a Froyo Vanilla ROM. (can't wait!)

Can't wait! Wife is getting tired of me flashing roms on her Incredible...

FlyX is going to be deodexed, and optimized, with the bloatware removed.
He's also working on a Vanilla build that should be ready in a week or so.

yea blur sucks. dont know if blur is one of the reasons (small) that moto chose to lock the phone down like they did. out of however many people that hve the DX i bet there are probably about 24 people out of 250,000 or so that actually use the crap. cant wait to get it off MY phone and have what I want on MY phone. these roms cant get here soon enuff!

Anyone know if the multitouch keyboard will make its way into the vanilla version?

Ultimate Droid for the X is readying for release in the next day or two!! Just wanted to pass along the info.

First Ultimate Droid alpha for the X
Today the first alpha release of ultimate droid for the X was released. it is currently available to donators who subscribe to the nightlies.

ultimate droid ftw....
Got UD running great on my X last night. Very few bugs, lost swype, bit its fan-freakin-tastic.
Don't do it unless you know what you're doing though, a lot of ppl were having problems.
P.s. I'm on the 2.3.32 leak.

Is the USB mass storage mode still having issues? What about marketplace auto-download issues? I've been a fan of UD since UD8 on the D1, and paid for nightly alpha builds of the X, but the beta that BD released isn't quite there yet, as far as I can tell. I can't wait until he gets that rom squared away though!

USB is getting worked out. Have to say that once gps gets fixed it'll be the best ROM on dx. Lockscreen gestures are amazing

I haved been using RC2 and love it. Supposed to be releasing RC3sometime today. The only issues I been having are the USB issues and GPS, which are said to be worked out in next release. I have been using Ultimate Droid since I rocked my D1 and as soon as I got my dX I headed back over there. Loving it.

I dunno about the original statement (although its not that hard to believe they woudln't want to...)
But cvpcs just recently started working with the cyanogen team, and since he had been doing GEM for the Droid lineup, he took it upon himself to do a cyanogen build for the X.

This will also mean no more having to bootstrap (mad props to koush for making it though!)

I have been really getting upset about my locked bootloader lately and I REALLY hope that this is the fix!
I want customization for my D2!

Since I have another year and a half with my D2 I am so happy to see this. Especially after playing with CM7 on my Nookcolor. Not that I'm really complaining about fission and apex; they both do a nice job with the limitations in place but I miss CM from my D1.
Assuming the dev's brick their phones trying to make it work; this is nothing but the best news this year (enough to even make me register finally)

Unfortunately, it looks like it doesn't work.

I think its for anything with the sholes bootloader.

I just checked the miui install stats and it listed 1 install for the Olympus, looks like a miui port may not be far off

Could be another Olympus. I remember something similar to this for CM7 before we had it but it wasn't our phones though. I hope this for the Atrix though!

I believe that one was actually our phone. If you check CM stats now, that olympus is almost to like 800 installs (was at 15 when the rumors started).

Perhaps... unfortunately only 1 install doesn't say much...
I dunno when this install happened though! If it was recent, that changes things

I do MIUI for Droid X/Droid2.
It is kind of difficult to work on without a device, please consider donating.

Where can one get the source code? I've yet to locate it and everything I have found so far says that miui hasn't released the source code. Are you porting it from another devices rom or from source?

I think we still have some money left over from that 'unlock bootloader bounty' that we had going... We just need to contact the guy in control of the paypal account.
