When I call my phone says I am on US cellular , but I am on the Sprint network wtf lol . No matter what rom I try it says I am on US cellular . Now I have absolutely no 3g only wifi . I really need help !!! This has never happened before please ... any ideas ?

Roms I use shift deck mikshift 1.3 evervovle n cyanogen. And yes I only use the shift versions. How could my carrier get switched? And how can I fix this? Could Google voice caused this?

Never mind . Disabled google voice online . Then nandroided back to mikshifted g 1.3 . And now all is fine . I am not even on US cellular anymore . I can make phone calls and send and recieve texts and not even google voice . Thank you Aamikam and the mik mik team your rom saved me . The only thing left is how to get sprint voice mail working . My friend just called me and it asks them which number they are trying to reach then when they dial in my number it just keeps asking the same thing over n over lol crazy stuff .

I believe if Flash MikShift G again, and just go throught the setup again. It should set it up for you.

No I tried mikshift again that does't work . But did some research and google forwards all your calls to them . To get my voicemail back i entered all the deativation codes on this url

9 time out of 10 if someone send me a picture to my epic.. I have to download the picture and its unsucessful, almost every single time.. and its not just MY phone, because my girl has the same phone and her phone does it too. Mines is rooted, her phone is just stock.. how can we fix this problem??

This. Sprint's MMS server is not accessible over the public internet, thus you must download on 3G.
Most Sprint phones will automatically run the data transfer over 3G (without manually turning off/on wifi), not the Epic though.
That said, many of the custom ROMs resolve this issue (including Heroic, which I run).

Anyone else have an issue with someone calling or testing you and you don't receive it? I get the voicemail (no notification I have a new one ) and then all the texts come after too. This happens consistently to me. At first I thought it was the Rom so I reset to factory but it still happens.

Texts work perfectly fine for me to my girlfriend & her backflip no lag ever voicemail I don’t know about because we use google voice. I would suggest using voice great replacement for visual voicemail coming from iphone

Well have CM61 on my phone which has helped some but the issue still persists. Contacted the local ATT and the said there are 2 towers very close to each other in the area I have this issue in. So they are saying the phone keeps bouncing between them causing the issue.

there is 100 posts about people not wanting the automatic activation to start on their epic after flashinf a new ROM. i want the opposite, i can not for the life of me find a ROM that WILL work with automatic activation with sprint after flashing.
can anyone please point me towards a ROM that fits the bill?

Not sure what you are asking. Is it about the OTA to Gingerbread or hands-free activation? I have done hands-free activation on a few ROMs with no issues. No rooted ROM will let you get the OTA updates.
I infer that the OP is talking about hands-free activation. If that's the case, I have flashed a bunch of roms from 2.1 through 2.3 and hands-free always worked.
Can you elaborate?
He may have odined with efs clear or whatever checked off. I don't remember exactly what it was but phones weren't reactivating without calling sprint.

Mine reactivated fine. 3 days later it wierdly disconnected and the call went to Sprint and they reactivated it. Had nothing to do with the ROM.

Some did reactivate while others had to call sprint to get it going again.

When I fist got my epic and was switching phones I contacted the sprint chat support and they had me enter a dialer code and enter my # in a couple fields. The phone rebooted and was active. Not sure if that helps, I was on stock rom and even it didn't auto activate.

sorry, to be clear, i am having a hard time with the handsfree activation after flashing a rom to this device.
many folks seem to request the exact opposite built into roms for this phone. meaning upon install and reboot, the rom will not run and complete handsfree activation.
no roms seems to have in the description that handsfree activation is supported.
does that make a little more since? if not let me know and i can give more details

All roms have hands free supported that's why you don't see it mentioned. You only activate once brand new out of the box not everytime you flash a rom. Unless you mean the google activation then just open then market and sign in then your google acct is then activated

I agree, you only have to activate once ever, until you get a new phone. This is a non issue as a result.

I was referring to a while back noobnl started a thread about checking off extra things in odin in relation to clearing nvram or something back when we were trying everything under the sun to fix the gps. I don't remember exactly but when you did it your phone went back too literally out of the box condition deactivated and all.

Never saw anyone requesting on the Epic threads that their phone not activate when switching ROMs. Maybe you saw that on a different phone. The only thing requested here was to stop the OTA update notification.

the phone was completely wiped, it was a gimme from a friend, i wiped it totally and started fresh. rooted, flashed rom, etc, (froyo) and now after rest it of course starts handsfree act but it crashes before activation finishes.
depending on rom, sometimes the MIN/MDN updates before crash which allows voice/txt only. thats about it. maybe its not the rom's, but i assumed since some will at least go that far. i can not see how it would be anything else because the phone started out as if it came from manu. fresh.

How about using stock rom to activate before flashing a custom? You can nandroid your current setup and restore to it after you activate.

I just had to call and rip sprints stuff cause my service was supposed to be fixed in october now its not till Janruary so yeah im pissed beyond belief, their looking to lose me back to T-Mobile, i mean whats the use of their TRULY unlimited data if it and ther service it comes with blows

Usually this is the only glitch I get. I hear they are bringing 4G here. Sprint and verzion are the big ones here. Sometimes wish I could run my phone to use everyone's towers

We do have a force roam zip made up by prboy andd jadeboy but its for MikShifted-G and Supreme Sense

Well the first thing you should do is upgrade to MikShifted G v1.76. It's just a patch, so you won't lose any of your info. You can find the upgrade HERE. After you do that the MOD you want is on THIS THREAD. On that thread was also a link on how to change the PRL.
Force roam didnt work. And sprint data reset code for its msl isnt doing anything either

##72786# and ##3282#, i typed it and the display showing what i typed went blank. The only way to get the touch pad to respond again was to hit the home button. And my phone did use the mod and i forced it to roaming but it still gave me a generic network error.

I am also having MMS problems. I used MikG 1.76. I switched back to x99percent Sense Stock rooted GB update 2.76.651.5. Works fine now. Maybe something having to do with MikG Rom. Mik hasn't updated it in awhile. Just released a few mods since 1.76

Not sure what your trying to do with ##72786# , as far as I know that's not a real code. ##3282# should bring up the ESPT menu, View or EDIT. Choose EDIT then enter your MSL. ##775# , is also valid. Just checked both on MikSHifted G, both codes work. Also just tried the Force Roam mod, all good. If you already updated your PRL / Profile. Try booting into recovery Wipe Dalvik, Wipe Cache, and then reboot.

I have several phones running both MikShifted G v1.76 and none have issues with MMS/SMS.
I have done a programing reset. And everything suggested except the change pro thing. Couldn't find the link. And I still got nothin. It's them not me

Both sms and mms are heavily dependant on mobile data network. If you are connected to wifi and you are in a area with poor mobile data network or you don't have a mobile data plan then a lot of times you will not be able to send/receive texts or mms. If you have a mobile data plan try turning off your wifi before sending or to check for received messages.

Ok I Reflashed the MikG 1.76 and its starting to work again. No Generic Network Failure anymore. Sent mms on WiFi within seconds. No problem at all. Maybe it is the PRL. Try Reflashing the ROM completely if PRL doesn't work.

Yeah that happened to me before in the area I use to live in. The mobile network was messed up and they kept telling me that they were working on it. But it never really seemed to improve much until I moved.

Hello,
I am not very familiar with T-Mobile wifi calling. You might already know this, but you are able to call via Wifi by using Google Voice and a 3rd party app such as Groove IP. You can also integrate your Google Voice number to your Sprint number so that calls will show as coming from your Sprint number.
