'Sup guys I'm new to this forum, what I am looking for is how put themes on my Xperia X8, so if you can link me to all the right threads and give me a few basics to start me off about all this Androd stuff please, I'm a quick learner (NO HOMO) <--- That was retarded But yeah please help me out and tell me what I need to know.

First, read the sticky named All things root in the Q&A section. Read those things, do them to your phone and install a 2.3 ROM from the development section ( GingerDX recommended). Then, go to the Android themes section in the Android forums, not in the X8 forums. There is a sticky with tons of themes. Download what you want, install it like a normal app and apply it using the theme chooser app in your 2.3 ROM. Good luck.
EDIT: You will only install themes that are for MDPI devices. That stands for Medium Dots Per Inch. Our X8 is one of those devices.

Thanks for that I understand that, but after all that how do I get the "ROM" actually installed?
So I succesfully rooted my phone and all that, Yipee! But I still don't know how to get the actual CUSTOM "ROM" installed/put on to my X8. Any instructions please?

You can download NTsense theme (or something like that) for theme chooser.

You could also download Beautiful or Fancy Widget. They have lot of HTC-look based skins.

and what themes are u trying to put on?? i've seen u ask in the mobile shell ones...first u need to purchase mobile shell if u havent already done so, then unzip whatevert eh poster uploaded...and put the corresponding files inthe mobile shell folder...overwriting/replace the old ones...then soft reset...
for WA themes...purchase wisbar advance..or desktop whicever u like most...then install the theme using the WA settings>theme

You want "Neo" themes for your Shadow you need to go to allshadow.com and freddyreyes.com. They have some very cool full screen themes and others, with cool modifications all wrapped up in "CABS" just waiting for installing.
Does anyone have issues with the market app not being installed on Cyanogen? I have the latest ROM and it seems to be the only thing not working. This is a problem because I dont know how to download the one program that allows you to download things. Anyone else have this problem? Do I need to reinstall Cyanogen?

you need to flash the zip file from within clockwork mod... also this is the windows mobile hacking section.. might want to post questions in the android section for more accurate answers
Excuse me, if you would read this is the WINDOWS section - as far as I know Cynogen makes stuff for ANDROID.

ok so i just rooted my droid 2... downloaded wireless tether... don't know what to use it for yet but everything i've read says its useful lol...
so i want a custom rom... preferable somethin with a dark skin.. how can i get it? next how do i remove the bloatware that verizon has on there. O and is there a way to get widgets that are on other phones onto mine?
anything else you guys can recommend me would be great lol sorry for the noob approach but i'm trying to read and get recommendations from you guys

I'm confused a bit. Please, can somebody explain, if I use Sense2 ROM for my Desire (CoolHD or RCMixHD, for example), what themes should I look for and where? Here, in this forum, or in DesireHD's "Themes and Apps"?
And how to decide which one should work with ROM I use (besides installing it + doing nandroid restore after next bootloop )

Well i no that carbonara wrks on rcmxhd so just do nandroid backups try flash if it doesnt wrk jus boot recovery and reinstall backup i recomend pcb carbon ara awezome theme

Normally every theme should work.
You can search in ''Themes and Apps'' for themes or in ''Development''.
I'm using ReflexTSense HD 1.8 right now and every theme I installed works like a charm.
But dont forget, if you found a great theme, male sure it'll working with the rom u're using by posting in the theard.

Just last night I flashed CM7 and I freakin love it. I still have much to learn about how it works.
My questions is this:
If I find a theme I want to use, can I just install it or does it have to be for the CM7 rom.
If you answer that it does have to be made for CM7...what does the theme need to say? Meaning, will it say "hey you can use this for CM7" or will it have a certain number and that number would mean it can be used for CM7.

If u download mixer which is my fave theme u have to go into recovery and install zip from SD....
But if u have cm7 flashed u can also just go to market and search cm7 themes and install one then go to your theme Chooser I like the cyan red

i just edited up mixer into a r2d2 star wars theme go download it and try it out
just download the zip
gout it in ur root
and install zip thru clockwork
