I am huge fan of Dutty's ROM. Had v 1.7 1.9 2.1 2.3 and 2.6. Everything was always working smoothly and nice.
Last weekend I updated to V3 and then where wi-fi problem started.
It is like this right now:
When I set to Best Battery or to a "middle" position, the wi-fi basically does not work AT ALL. When I switch to Best Performance the wi-fi works but like 30% of speed and quality of previous versions.
At first I thought it was the radio rom, which during long process of updating in accordance to THIS guide took downgraded to 1.09.something. So I updated the radio to the newest 1.14.something but the problem is still the same.
Everything else works great but wi-fi works like 30% of its power;( WHAT IS WRONG? Has anyone experienced it before?
Of course I could try use Best Performance but then battery is sucked like crazy!;(
Thank you for help!
Cant help on your issue but mine works great on Duttys new rom

you think? I did HR after the rom update.... One is not enough these days?
OK, will give it a try...
i didnt do any hardreset and its working fine
reflashed, double HR and.... it helped
I still have NO IDEA what was the cause firstplace.
Thanks for help!
I didn't try this ROM yet. But, I'd like to have a try on Dutty's ROM! I will report if I will have caught this problem in the future. Sorry, cannot help you this time.
And why don't you report this at Dutty thread instead opening a new one????
I am using Dutty's V3 Rom and has no problem with the WiFi issue as stated.
More WiFi Fixes & Problems ?!!
Please excuse me if this is the wrong place to post this, but whenever I hear WiFi problem my ears perk up.
I have been experencing WiFi connectivity problems for while now; my HD would try to connect to an AP and after a ltte while of watching the "connecting" animation, the device would just quit with a warning message that it could not connect with the current settings..bla.bla.bla... even after it had connected to the same hotspot afew hours before.
Well, after installing Dutty's V2.9 (Highly recommended!) ROM the WiFi issues disappeared for 5 days. Mind you with my HD this is a record usually WiFi only works for a whole day at most, so I am guessing anyone experiencing problems with WiFi and Dutty's ROMS has a problem that might not be related to the ROM itself, as in my case the ROM actually "fixed" the problem, if only for a while.
By the way, I have just flashed the new (1.14) radio and the WiFi problem still persists;nevertheless I will keep testing anithing new that comes along and posting my results here.
I was celebrating too soon(((
After double HR I had to reset once more - had issuescwith ActiveSync.
Anyway I HR once again and the problem back again. The wifi actually does not work at all or work very slowly
Since not only me experience this problem I guess it is not the radio problem but the rom itself.
What is even more strange, I was able to resolve it once because it already worked one... the problem is I don't remember what EXACTLY I did to restore perfect wifi functionality.(
Sorry this is a bit off topic but where do I find the best battery setting, I have had a look under setting->power bu can only adjust the backlight.
Thanks

Have you tried upgrading to newer SPL ?
I have recently upgraded from 1.14 SPL to 1.56 HSPL and from 1.19.XX rom to 1.56.405.1(HTC official ROM UK WWE) - what is more imp here is there is also an radio update in this RUU - i guess from 1.09.XX to 1.13.25.24. Hope this solves your problem.
Keep posting your progress
hi all i use run.gps on my old omnia and i want it on my new htc hd2 but the app wont pick up the gps info correctly, it gets a great signal and then just wont tract my speed/distance ect
any help here would be great
I'd like to see this resolved too, since I was really keen to try this software out.
do u have same issue matey, i dont mind using other apps but i really need voice guide like speed and distance, and i think this is the only app which does this?
I was going to install today, then I saw your post, so I haven't actually tried it just yet. When I have time later I will give it a shot.

that would be great so i can see if its just my device or not
i think imay i have solved the problem, when i1st ran the app i used the htc hd2 lock to lock the phone and it seems doing this stops the gps from working, if u use the run.gps locking it works fine,
p.s. in menu setting check that all the buttons are locked when screen is so u dont press anything when running lol
HI MATE i can confirm it works now, u need to lock the screen with the app and let it goin to the lock wm lock screen automaticly, if u press the end key to enable the lock screen ur self the gps doesnt work correct, heres a run to show it works
my run today (i do two runs with 3min rest between for a drink)

Nice, thats good news. Thanks.
Does anyone know where I can get a STABLE version of start tool kit? I tried running RC09 but it's not at all stable. Here's a few things I've run into in the short time I ran it.
Total system lockup when trying to access "Tasks" on the deskbar, (several times)
Had to disable global skinning to stop lockups. Everything ran fine til I got a text msg then the vibrate function refused to turn off. Once again, had to do a soft reset to stop it. I've had to open the battery case more times in the last hour than I have since getting the phone.
I have a T-Mobile Dash 3G running WinMo 6.1 official.
I really liked this little app because it adds some nice functionality to the phone but I won't run it at the expense of doing damage to my phone. Thanks in advance!
I was just about to instal it... What Windows version you have?
I'm using official 6.1 on my Dash 3G. I tested RC08 and so far it's running really well.
The test skinning.exe I found doesn't work so well but I think it's coz I had it running from the memcard. I moved it to Program Files to see if it works better though.
Essrentially it works awesome til you try to turn it off, then it goes bat**** and crashes until a reboot.
I'll post my findings when I'm done.

Are you still using SD?, if so try calibrating with it upside down, screen facing down.
I'm running NAND, when I go to caliberate the bubbles don't move at all, until I press caliberate then the just move left and right and it says complete.

Hi, I allready posted this problem a while ago. I hoped this was a problem with windows mobile occupying the G-sensor, while running android from SD. I was happy to see that we finally could boot to android and skip WM, but still no G-sensor in android. Is there someone who knows the commands (in Gscript) for starting the G-sensor? I allready tried renaming the akmd file but this is only a solution for someone who has a working G-sensor and wants it disabled temporarily.
Please help a handfull of us G-sensorless android users.
Thanks.
oddly I got it to calibrate with the phone on its side, facing sideways. IT rotated ok afterwards but then got stuck. Best thing to do here is not to calibrate at all as it seems to work fine without any calibration - too late once you have done it though?

I can't find the script but all it does is renames the akmd file to stop and start. Your the only person I've found with the same problem we need to figure this out man

There's 2 more topics on this for a while now, but there's no luck on a solution. The biggest problem we all have is likely the fact that anyone reading a G-sensor thread is having the same problems. The one with the solution isnt looking for our threads.
solution - working for me
it works properly without any calibration, but if you already did it, here is the solution:
calibrate it with upside down - screen facing down, it will resolve your problem

It looks like so, but it works in WM, so it may be HARDWARE DIFFERENCE let the drivers cause issues? I must talk about, I have never calibrated g-sensor after flashing NAND ROM.

My wife has Omnia 7 (we both have it as a matter of fact), and sometimes after full night charge, battery stays at percent when she started charging. Then she needs to restart it, and then battery shows 100%. Same thing happens when she starts random game or app, it just crashes to desktop, and she needs to restart it in order to app/game work again. Mine is fine. Anyone had such an issue?
Anyone?
