Hey,
I'm starting a site called MyLifeIsAndroid
It's basically a social network for Android users.
You can post your own blog, photos, videos, and have your own page.

This is a site that I could definitely see myself becomming accustomed to checking out on a daily basis. I love the idea!!

Dude you need to buy a domain anx get a host and develop something if you plan to ever get any kind of user base.

XDA/Samsung

Hello Guys,
My name is John, I recently became the social media analyst at Samsung mobile. I wanted to start opening the lines of communication between XDA and Samsung. First I wanted to say I have noticed your work on our devices on the XDA forums. I think you guys do an outstanding job, I myself am a developer for mobile devices. So let’s get down to business, we’re going to be in Austin from March 10-15 for the SXSW(south by southwest http://sxsw.com/convention). I was wondering if any of you guys are going so that we could meet up and share a couple of ideas I have. I am looking forward to meeting some of you GREAT developers!

Bump, would love to see connections between XDA and Samsung to improve on the great hardware provided by Samsung. Too bad I am in Dallas though...

Want a suggestion? Samsung should pay out bounties to devs who do special things for Samsung handsets. For instance, did you know that Supercurio's work has turned the SGS into a credible audiophile DAP? It sounds better than many dedicated DAP + amp combos, which is extraordinary. Samsung should reward that!

Partnership
Partnership! That's the plan, you guys in my opinion, are the biggest influence to the android community.

If you guys are seriously planning on strengthening the relationship with XDA, take a cue from HTC, and put your source out quicker for us to play with. If you think the devs here are great now, open up that sandbox and you'll see what they can really do.
This is a great gesture though, I hope something great can come of it.

I suggest you to post a thread in the i9000 section, you've post everywhere except there, while it's the "main" branch of SGS
Does Samsung has planned to implement the wonderful Supercurio's work (like Voodoo great sound improvements) and to work with him?
Edit : I've read your're also a developper, so yes, you should post in dev sections

can you post your @samsung email so that we can verify you are the real deal? not to be offensive, but the internet is rampant with trolls and cons.

yes please, please make sure and confirm to someone here that you are the actual Samsung developer, we have many of these kinds of little kids who fake this, and that makes our trust go down on the real people.

First of all, if you haven't already, you need to make a thread about your project.
Than, people will need to click on "tip us".
There are also some high-reputation members who use to tip the portal guys about interesting projects (I believe this works best).
Finally, there is a tip function on the portal home page.
If the project has following, it will end up in the news.

I AM TRANSLATING THIS WEB TO ENGLISH
I started this project thinking in offer a site with all the roms and kernels of our xperia. But not only roms, also useful information like governors descriptions. The users can use the web to download all the requested files and follow instruccions. After, they will use xda or other forums to comment their experience, doubts or problems... A few time after, @TheWolfer22 started to help me. And now we try to bring the best experience to the users.
I use materialize framework to give a material aspect to the web. For the moment, the web is not complete and will be updated regularly with new sections and roms.
Unfortunately now the web is only in spanish. I will work to include a button to change the language to english first and other languages in the future.

Well... To be completely honest, people prefer sticking to one site (xda), all that information is already found on xda. @CubeDev had this idea but it was quickly dismissed by every other member in the XSP Hub in Kik because it was not necessary. So he stuck to filehosting (CubeServer) which was a great success as developers used this as a site to upload their work.
You would need permission from developers to mirror their work, etc.

sorry for the disappointment ...but if want keep it for sure (it's your call)

Actually this could work in other languages than English. Almost everybody understand English but I'm sure a lot of people are more comfortable in their mother tongue. Giving them the basics in their language (and basic traditions/terms) would probably help them a lot to come into the development world. I'm sure you could find people willing to translate it. Spanish is already done

As @TheAvengingTITAN said, I already had this idea.
1. All information can be found on XDA.
2. You won't get any support on XDA and your thread can be reported because of some rule.
But if you have experience, you can work with me on the CubeServer.
I think we would be a great team @darioj98 and @TheWolfer22. Please also check out the CubeServer thread in the Xperia SP General forum.
By the way... A new homepage is coming soon (beta.cubeserver.eu). Check it out before it's too late, I will set a password later on.

Oh that's true... But it's not easy to find a non-copyrighted image. I am definitely changing it.

Great! But i agree with the previously posts, please make this site for English language too. The English is a worldwide language, much more people spoken than Spanish.

The page is in spanish because our primary idea was do it for the htcmania spanish community. Now this project is bigger than we expected and for that reason we decide to translate it to other idioms. This project has months on the spanish community isn't new.

It would be nice but i dont think so. Just because I don't have a lot of experience, I'm not an expert. I mean, I not a noon or a newbie but ....
Also, in two months more or less I will start an important course and I have to focus in my studies.
But, just in case, because I can't deny that i have interest in your offer. In what exactly I would work? Because maybe y could help despite of my not very big experience.
