Hey guys...
...i've updated my TF from 1.5 to 1.6 and now i've lost the "Mobile settings" option in the Wireless menu.
Anyone else has got the same issue? There is a patch or a workaround to have the TF back as a "3G & Wi-Fi" tablet and not only as a "Wi-Fi"?
Thanks in advance for any suggestion!

I've got Prime 1.6 working with 3G modems but it's very tempermental.
The way I've got it to work is to apply the NVFlash version of prime 1.5 (which wipes the tablet of course), check that the Mobile Data option is working then immediately boot into CWM and apply the Prime update (and possibly the netformer kernel).
That usually does the trick and gives me Prime 1.6 with 3G modem support (I've also got the 3G menu to appear in Revolver 2 by the same method but I wasn't able to get the modem fully up and running in the time I had to experiment).
However if it appears that is I apply another change via CWM, like switching back to the stock Prime kernel or even reapplying a nandroid backup of the system (one I took while the 3G modem was working) then the 3G menu disappears.
Only way I know to get it back is to install the Prime 1.5 NVFlash ROM again. (Fortunately I can still use the Nandroid backup by, installing Prime 1.5 NVFlash then immediately restoring the backup over the top of it).

Net Connectivity Problems?
I'm also having issues this morning with getting on Market, as well as web pages thru browser... and come to think of it, I haven't gotten any Gmail notifications either.
I'm on T-Mo w/ Nexus One running CM 5 beta 3 (2.6.29 non-memhack'd), but I don't think the custom ROM is the issue.
Can anybody else verify connectivity issues on T-Mobile this morning?
i've had this issue... but mine stuck. i was hopping between dwang and cm. they were both nandroid backups and i was testing themes on them to see what worked and what didn't. anyways i got done and restored my cm build and market just wouldn't connect. however if i opened it and hit menu > downloads quickly it showed them briefly before saying there was an error connecting which i take as it meaning there was a connection, but there was something interfering with it. only way i was able to fix it was wipe and reflash cyanogen. :/
hey i had droid wall installed, un-stalled it then it was working again i think it was either a problem with t-mobile or droidwall was stopping it
Just in case anyone else encounters this problem ...
I was running PRIME ROM
Did a CWM backup
Flashed MAGNUS ROM
played around a bit but wanted to revert to PRIME
Used CWM to revert to PRIME
at this point the restore seemed to work fine but wifi wasnt working. On the settings page the Wifi tickbox was greyed out with the text 'Error' under it.
Reflashing the PRIME ROM over the top and everything was fine.
Does CWM backup/restore miss some stuff ?
OK - this is my fault and I'm willing to put the work in to fix it myself but I'm hoping someone knows off the top of their head.
Transformer firmware all up to date. Rooted and on MagnuSupr3m3 ROM.
I had also pushed a modified WPA_Supplicant file to enable ad-hoc tether to my HD2 - that worked great.
I applied Sheshmaru's cool win phone7 theme to check it out. see link below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1120525
Somewhere after applying the theme I found that wifi could no longer connect at all and showed error as it's status. This problem persisted even after I rolled back to a recovery backup of prime 1.4 I had made - using SolarNZ CWM R3.
Any suggestions? I'd rather learn how the wifi stack is working and apply fixes rather than just reinstall the whole thing
I had the same Wifi Error status on my TF, but that was after I got it rooted and flashed the newer CWM on it. Toggling Airplane mode fixed the Wifi for me, no idea why lol
SOLVED
If anyone else suffers this misfortune the fix for me was this:
Followed instructions to add an eraseData file in the Solarnz CWM thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1093818
Reloaded my recovery.
There is most likely a better way to do this by just pushing some wifi related files into the right folder but that goes beyond me and I couldn't drum up any instructions from a quick google.
Hi, I have been using the MS2Ginger 3.0 rom by walter79 and it's a great ROM. However I noticed that i'm having trouble connecting to my office LAN (secured with 802.1x EAP). The wifi connects fine, but the icon remains white and after a minute or less the connection shows as connected, but anything I do (facebook, browser, email etc) fails to connect. I read somewhere that this can be a driver issue and the soltn is to flash the stock froyo and then restored the nandroid backup, but no luck!
I searched over xda forums and found that this is an issue with kernel > 2.3.6. Can anyone point me to the fix for this (if one exists)? If not then I'll have to go back to walter79's 2.3.4 rom or the stock froyo...
Please help!
Thanks!!!
I flashed back to stock froyo and the office wifi works like a charm! I'm now in two minds whether to go back to stock or not!
My XOOM WiFi seems to be inresponsive as the launcher will basically crash since there are no longer the soft buttons on the screen when the Xoom has been on for a atleast 4 hours. It didn't have this problem before, I am using the stock launcher and Android 3.2 had the same problem so I upgraded to 3.2.1 and the problem still exists, I had tried clearing data for the launcher and it didn't make a difference. Does anyone know a fix for this?
Well seeing that it is a recent problem, have you installed anything new at all? If so I would try go back to known working set of apps.
Secondly, you are running an extremely old version of Android for the Xoom when the latest is 4.1.2
If this update isn't available in your area then you should install CWM or another custom recovery and install a ROM that contains a newer version.
It might or may not be a recent problem since I have been using my phone and just letting the XOOM sit there. The only new thing I have installed might be YouTube updates and Alarm Clock Xtreme. I am running 3.2 for a reason as there is no ad-hoc wifi hack for Jellybean yet.
