Problems:
1- how to find out and uninstall (installed in ROM) .Net Framework?
2- or How to install 3.5 .Net Framework to override already installed later version?
Detail:
I flashed my Touch HD with energy ROM (july 2011 version) it has lower version Microsoft .Net Framework than 3.5 version and I want on my Mobile Shell software, ProPlus Freedom theme to work but It recommend 3.5 .Net. Problem is that when I play cab file to install 3.5 version it says you first unistall later version then install new one though in my installed program list I am not getting any option to uninstall the already installed version.........If I don't uninstall it then I wouldn't be able to install new 3.5 .Net and in return my ProPlus Freedom theme giving me errors....Please help me on the following

Is there a ROM available that supports .NET Compact Framework Version 2?
If so, what version is it, and where could I get it from?

the normal frameword 2 is not even released yet
and have compability issues with 1.1 code
so i doubt you'll be seing a rom any time soon which include it
prob when it get released you can get an update
.NET CF 2.0 Beta
you don't need a new rom, if you're using VS2005 Beta1 (other than the express editions) VS will deploy the CF on your device , as well as your prog

There is a fairly simple problem that seems to be just beyond the grasp of the non-developers/chefs amongst us. We are trying to work out how to uninstall .NET Compact Framework 2 SP2 from our ROMS so that we can install v3.5 which speeds up the phones software by approx 20%. (A much greater increase in efficiency than any upgraded ROM with new WM6 build could offer). Please could someone with the know-how take a look at the following thread and provide some insight:

if you can just install the newer .net then it should be used for all .net related software
of cause it will take up space in the mem not being in the rom and all
If you do this, it doesnt provide the increase in speed in apps. Also many programs do only still see version 2 sp2.
it dont matter what .net version it use
the latests framework installed will always handle all .net
stuff
which is why that people who have .net3.5 and not .net2 can still
run .net2 applications or .net1.1
If you install Schaps Advanced Config tool it tell you which .NET version is installed. If you install v3.5 it does not change from saying 2.0.7450.0 or something like that.
Problems with Scilor's Driving License Trainer on cotulla's wm6.1
i have problems to start the program from scilor, with the original wm2003 rom for my mda compact it works after i installed compact framework 2.0 for wm2003, now i'm trying it with the wm 6.1 rom from cotulla but it don't works, if i try to reinstall compact framework 2.0 or 3.5 he says it installed already but i cant start "Scilor's Driving License Trainer" he wants me to install the newest framework version...can someone help me???

Hey, you will need to install sqlceserver 3.5 also (http://scilor.funpic.de/fuelblaster.html just download the sql fix from fuelblaster and install the 3 cabs, if it still doesnt works, try to set your .net framework to 3.5 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2850119 bottom (netcfcfg.cab)))
you may also reinstall .net framework 3.5
yes, SQLCEServer not included into my ROM. You need install it separately.

Ok, I have the new 2.13 shipped T-Mobile ROM on my phone. According to .Net Config, I have .Net v3.5.9198.0 (ROM). By default, .Net 3.5 comes in the ROM. I thought most ROM's did by now. Everyone I have tried, cooked or otherwise have had it.
I was playing around with UI's today. I downloaded and installed iPhoneUI v0.3.5a. I got an error and had to install .Net Messaging in order to decipher.
According to the iPhoneUI dev, he has a version of .Net that he suggests to download and install that he knows works.
The questions are:
1) Is there more then one version of v3.5??? I have v2.0 which won't help, and I also have v3.7 that I could install.
2) If I install his CAB and it's not the same version, am I going to lose my version and have to hard reset to get it back if it's newer? I'm hoping at that point I can just uninstall and reboot and I'll have the old version back.
3) Let's say they are the exact same build. Why would it matter that I install his version? What would be different?

I have tried to install compact netframe on my HD2 but I have 3.7 on my phone and it says I have a later framework and have to unistall. Has any had experience with this? Can somone post the steps to make this happen? I would like to use cookie home tab.
If there is a newer version on your phone, in all certainty it would be backward compatible with apps that need previous versions. So AFAIK you don't need 3.5 specifically any version above 3.5 would do.
yes you do it says you need to unistall the later before installing 3.5 and cookies home tab editor does not work without it.
