Need help with my radio version - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I am using miui by langthang on my leo hd2 us tmo phone. I am using the newest radio 2.15.50.14 and my signal sucks i don't know what i had on there the first time before i flashed but now i wish i could go back. Or find a combo that works. I live in illinois in the states just south of chicago. my phone is now android on nand. if you guys have any insight to how to go back or a radio to fix this i will be so thank full thanks xda members for your replys in advance.
Also here is the complete radio I have 15.42.50.11u_2.15.50.14 if that helps..

Just try from radio 2.10 .... until 2.14 and see which suits you best.
Also, refer to this thread for the radios : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787 and make sure your leo is european, otherwise you have to be careful of what you flash to your tmo; it may brick your device.

every person is going to be a little different depending on where you live. me personally (in maryland) find that radio 2.08 works a little better then the other's. really its just trial and error so hopefully you'll find one that works for you.

Does the first set mean anything. Which versions should I stick with .50 right
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA Premium App

you have a tmous yes? if so you have to stick to a .50 radio a .51 radio will brick your phone

[CONFIRMED]Leaked 3.14 T-Mobile test ROM works with Android

I just flashed to the leaked 3.14 update, and it does indeed work with Android. I'm booting the ShugCRAFT 1.5 distro, and i've got 3G data, working voice and MMS. Seems that the quest for a stock ROM with working drivers is close to over. The leaked test ROM seems to be fairly stable aswell. I will report back if I run into anything strange. You can get this new leaked ROM from here:

Ha!! YES!!

About 5 or 6 pages in, there is a multi-mirror link for people who have issues with RapidShare (like me).
I just installed this new stock and it does not support the darkstone froyo 2.1 that I already had installed on my SD card. I do get 3g and WiFi, but I also get the robot voice when calling, so it's useless to me. I'm gonna give a couple of other builds a shot, just in case and report back.
Wow, talk about fast! The new 3.14 seems to blow away the 2.15 in terms of speed. EVERYTHING seems faster. It also has some new stuff included such as Shazam and a new HTC Music client...
As a geek, I gotta say that having 3.14 as a release version is uber cool
So I downloaded and installed the new darkstone Desire HD Beta-2 build and it runs flawlessly. Err... well other than the already known issues such as camera, ringtone, etc.
I hate the bloatware, but being back to stock is awesome as well
--Edit--
So yeah, it was cool, but I decided I really wanted to go back to AthineOS to get away from the bloatware.
I had installed the new stock via microSD, which over-writes everything including SPL. This meant that, because HSPL3 is iffy with newer versions, I went ahead and downloaded the current official ROM from T-Mobile and flashed it via usb first. Then I was able to safely HSPL3 and then flash my fav ROM.
Overall, the new stock is very rocking and I can't wait for someone to cook a stripped-down ROM based on it

Thank you so much. I talked with a T-Mobile customer support person today and he told me that the official ROM 3.14 was going to be released tomorrow!
I'm using the leaked rom, probably not necessary but I'll load the official rom when it's released. It's working great with Android and I haven't unlocked, used hard spl or any other custom roms yet

So far only mdeejay's Android build with hastarin's is compatible with this new Rom.
You can try my combination in my signature. Runs perfect.

no hspl for run android?

is HSPL needed to run android in hd2?
Do you think this is the right thread for 'question'?
Normally HSPL is needed because you need to flash the radio rom suitable to run android.
as long u using 3rd party rom u need it..
I don't believe it is "needed" to simply run Android. Now if you want it as your daily OS, I would strongly suggest it. You will be able to flash the recommended Radio / ROM combination so that you get the most functional build possible.
Without the right radio or ROM, you will have some unwelcome bugs.

since the day i bought hd2 until now it never been hspl yet in other word it still original official hd2 rom, here the descriptions:
os: 5.2.21869
manila: 2.5.19211619.0
rom: 1.66.707.1
radio: 2.07.51.22_2
protocol: 15.32.50.07u
I have stock T-Mobile US HD2 and I have not put HSPL or anything... it's even GSM locked to the carrier...
I managed to get FroyoStone series to work just fine; mccm build FRG33 and FRG 83 build as well... besides that I did try some builds like shubcraft or whatever the name is and it did not want to work due to screen freezes - so I just went back to mccm 1.5
sorry double post

I use Chuck Droid ROM as my WinMo base. Radio 2.10.50.26. I switch between 2 Android chefs: MdeeJay and Bangsters. I use them both for daily use.

anyway our advice is already stated there..
u want to install or not is depend on u..
any brick on ur phone will be responsible by urself..
You can run Android on a stock phone, but just be ready for any of the various annoyances with doing so, most common is audio issues like robot voice during calls. I tried it on stock Tmous HD2 for a while before finally loading up custom roms.
You might get lucky and not have the issues.

Stable NAND with Sense, not sure about radio.

Hi guys, You helped me alot last time so i have came back here for some more help I still have the first NAND version on my HD2 and now it keeps loosing signal etc etc. It has been few months since the release so i think of upgrading it to a better NAND. Which one is the most stable with sense ? Also short booting time would be good. Ahh and i would like to upgrade radio aswell. I live in poland if that has anything to do with it
Thank You guys!
Hi there, your question is difficult to answer because peoples' tastes and experiences differ with the builds. What may be fine for someone may not be ideal for you. However, try Sergio's CoreDroid. That is what I use and like many others, I find it most stable and reliable out of the lot I have tried. What radio are you currently on?

Hi,
You seem to have the latest radio installed...
Before you go switching to a new ROM,make sure you backup your stuff, either with a NAND backup in CWM ,or something like TitaniumBackup app.
Then check here:

What is the best Radio for Android Nand Rom?

Long time ago i have flashed my Htc HD2 with radio(hspl), magldr, cwm recovery and NAND Rom like rafdroid, miui roms and Runnymede rom. But what is the best radio for an Android NAND Rom? Exist only one Radio for Android Nand Roms? I have bad signal in only Roms.
Can somebody help?
PS: I don't know my actual Radio.

Take a look under Settings and About Phone and you should see a line that says Baseband version. The latest radio version is 2.15.50.14 but you can use flash others to try and see if you obtain better reception. Probably the ROM build threads will tell you which recommended radio to use.
Thank you. I have read it.

[Q] Xda roms !

Hello,
i'm new in this forum (yeah, i'm noob).
So I have a htc hd2 tmous(1024rom), and I wanted to know if all the roms on XDA are compatible with this device, I really was looking on the forum and I have a lot of Rom as I want to test, but in most topic of presentation of Roms are not talking about compatibility
thank you
Depends. Make sure you don't flash a bad radio is my advice!

of course, but now how to tell if the rom is good or not for my phone? I ask the cook?
Well only roms that support 1024mb and 576mb T-Mobile compatible radios will work. If you want help, PM me
By the way, it should be listed in the first post of the thread. If not, ask the "cook" (OP)
I recommend Pdaimatejam's WP7 Tango. Best Windows Phone rom so far. If not that, then try Yuki's BackToTheFuture

That's the one!
It works on the T-Mobile US HTC HD2 T8585, yes. Just flash your correct radio and MAGLDR 1.13 via HD2 Toolkit/RADIORUU whilst the phone is plugged in via Bootliader, and follow instructions from the thread. Simple

Dude, not a good idea putting your number of the net mate, google is your enemy!
as for bricking, tmous phones must have the .50 radios only, that's the hardware radio, the .51 radio will bugger up your phone. to be honest, you shouldn't have an issue, I don't know of any custom ROMs that contain the radio ROM any more so the chances of installing the wrong radio is very limited.
use a radio such as 2.12.50.02_2
also, before you start, make sure you know what is on there right now (standard winmo 6?) , and get a backup rom ready for if it all goes bad
flashing back to default winmo is usually best in times of doubt
read description of each rom .
