fs.data2sd should be in /sdcard/Android/data/fugumod for fugumod kernel
or
fs.data2sd should be in /sdcard/Android/data/g3mod for g3mod kernel

Good evening!
I'm an owner of the x8, I've already installed Root, BusyBox, App2Sd, recovery!
I'm going to try the installation of JiT, but before this i'd like to make a backup (because at the moment everything's OK) and I know that I could make my phone a sort of nothing!
Could you explain me how to backup/restore via xrecovery?
And could you link me the Jit for x8 Guide?
Many Thanks in advance!
In xRecovery.. boot into flashmode, go to backup/restore and make new.
Simply
Many Thanksss : I've not tried it yet but if I've understood well:
1. Open xRecovery (trough BACK button)
2. Backup&Recovery
3. New
Isn't it?
1. Open xRecovery via back button
2. Scroll down to Backup & Restore
3. Click Backup and wait for xRecovery to do his work.
just use xRecovery, you don't have to be afraid if you have it...

On my phone the backup was ~240 Mb. So, you'll need more, otherwise backup will be a mess. Been there, done that.

If you made a backup with a xRecovery just restore it the same way you backed up. If you don't have backup you can try disabling JiT and/or flashing your x8.

Hello
I think that's why Link2SD is better thant App2SD,
you can choose, create & delete which App on SD you want,
and cache are still on internal

hey !
I've partitioned my sd as 256mb a2sd and my all apps are installed in that memory..but now a2sd partition is full and i cannot install any app..It says memory full( but I've 132mb left in phone's internal memory). so my question is how can i use that memory to install my apps.
wen, app2sd becomes not worthy for u, u r left with data2sd..
to enable data2sd--
1st of all delete the app2sd script..
flash any fugumod kernel..
then make a file & write in it "mmcblk0p2"..
rename the file to "fs.data2sd"
move fs.data2sd to /sdcard/Android/data/fugumod
restart..
u r done... )

App2SD script is present in /system/etc/init.d. If you want to delete it, you can do it using root explorer. Mount system as rw and delete it.

that is not possible.. coz ur whole /data gettin mounted to mmcblk0p2 partition, so ur internal memory becomes useless..

That s ok. You can use apptosd v2. But this method described here, I don t know. Since the entire data partition is moved, you would probably need atleast a class 4 SD card.
But if you want to delete the apptosd script, delete it from /data/etc/init.d using rootexplorer. But your datas will remain in the sd-ext partition only. So don t know how you are going to recover that.

why does my hd2 have 151mb of internal storage and only 91mb for installing apps. i have NexusHD2 ROM.:crying:
You have a 512MB HD2 (European). And most of that is taken by the system partitions and whatnot. You need data2ext or sth like that so that you can have more storage.
create ext4 partition on your sd card using mini partition tool, it will increase your internal memory.
Hit thanks if it helped
it's normal that you have only this storage memory, Nexushd2 ROM are consuming a lot of memory.
You can move your apply on your sd-card if you have one or you can do that Rahil S say.

but i dont know how to create an ext4 partition on sd card, can someone please guide me through on how to do this.:crying:
I'm sorry, you will have to look for that yourself.
You can use the link in my signature, it's an HD2-specific search.
So when the ext partition is created, will some of the internal memory still be used up by apps that are on SD.
Sent from my NexusHD2 using xda app-developers app
When you create an ext partition, it becomes the internal memory for apps. No need to move anything to SD.
Yes but i have created ext partition of 1gb, yet I still get low memory message. I used titanium back app.

i just created an ext4 partition of 1gb on the sd card using cwm. like rahil s indicated
No. Even after creating the ext4 partition, data and apps won't move on their own. You need to reflash the rom with the option "DataOnExt".
You can use TB to backup your apps, and restore after you re-install.
Is there another way, cause I don't want to mess around with the flashing stuff as I have bricked my phone in the past. I mean is there an alternative to flash like partition the SD card and use app like link2sd to move app data to sd

Tou should really give it a try!

Are you looking for 10 posts also? Because we've already agreed that DataOnExt is the best option. He DOES want to give it a try, so your post is pointless = You are looking for 10 posts. What's the sudden interest in the HD2 section for spamming?
Also, NO. Your apology for interrupting this conversation IS NOT acceptable.
Anyway, @OP:
I think the best option is to back up all your apps using Titanium Backup, reinstall the ROM with DOE option, and then reinstall TB and your apps.
No, using Link2SD will not help you. It doesn't work like that. Sorry.
go to market and dowload link2SD to link or move app to SD ext or

Hi ,
i was on Quarx CM10 and tried to get back to Miui (GB). So i formatted the sd card to ext3 and tired to install but it there was some problem and my phone wont boot. So i flashed SBF and after that my Internal memory is showing 48 MB. If i tried to install nandroid backup and fixed sbf i have very little memory left to install my apps..
i searched for it in the forums . One suggestion is to deete data/tombstone. But i dont have that folder at all. So its been ruled out. I even tried other cleaning apps and all failed.
I think the Phone is not formatted properly to ext3. Can any one suggest how to format it back to EXT3 ....
Thanx
PS. By memory i mean Internal SD card. Not the RAM
Use the full system wiper script in the themes and apps section

hey,
even if your phone is rooted, you can't simply fool the droids memory architecture just from a Third Party Application..
you need INT2EXT script with a constantly running application which watches the memory.(eg link2sd)
and for all that u first need to partion your sdcard to the device(grand2) supported partion i.e ext2/ext3/ext4.
for partioning i recommend PartionWizard windows application.
else The custom CWM is highly recommended (which unfortunately isnt available at this time)
Does int2ext work on grand2?

i guess it will work
we just have to trace its internal memory hardware location
and memory address where the /data folder exists..
then we need to create the partition modules(.ko files)eg:- Ext3.ko
then we need to create supported partition on sdcard.
and then create int2ext script which links the module and partition on sdcard which fools android.

On the V350 Link2SD was briliant to get around the lack of memory of the phone. I've become very fond of it.
Here's a question for the Link2SD users:
Did anyone manage to get the seccond partition working as a ext3?
