Ye, I know, but I wrote to the develloper, he said "you can try", and wrote how to do it. Therefore I am looking for anybody who already tried..

Hello everyone!
I had a question to ask ...
Some time ago I saw the dualboot windows-android htc available for some.
is also available on HD2?
thanks
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623792
i think you can install the dual.root but there is no version of android itself to run on htc hd 2, as i assume.

if they mange to port it yes, ideally it would have a dual boot where you can chose what you want too boot when you turn on the phone.. that would be really nice

Yes, what he said. You can READ about the progress they have made, but please no posts like:
'Can't you just use the Android from Nexus One?'... The Developers are smart people. So to be honest, there is probably NOTHING you can teach them. Just let them to their job. It is harder then you guys think, so this could take a while.
Enjoy your HD2 as it is. The main reason I want Android is for the appstore. But probably tomorrow the Marketplace will get an update, that allows you to switch regions, install on SD card, and makes it easier for Developers to make apps. Let's hope the Marketplace start getting better within the next months!
there is no android version for htc hd2 i have tried other versions installing on my device but it did not work..... i think people are working on it hopefully sooner or later we will get it.....
Maybe never !!!
thank you guys and sorry.

I've been waiting to see this app come from the iPhone to Android but it says so far it's just supported by the Nexus and Milestone. I wondered if anyone has bought this and got it working on the Desire?
can't find that app, are you sure it is released?

yeah, I found it in the marketplace today at £19.99. It just says it supports those two above phones though....
Bought it and I can confirm that it works on my Desire without a problem :] Needs some further work, though.

Great to hear. I'll have to get it too.... When you say it needs further work, do you mean Softpauer needs to do more work?
Thanks for this... been waiting for ages.. just forgot to check the website for updates...lol

You really should have looked it up but...
Basically, the Samsung Vibrant runs Android 2.1
Froyo is Android 2.2
There are many new features in Android 2.2, including a flash player, so yes, you want it, no you don't need it.

Yes, I coud have but forums like this can explain these things better and if a rooted phone with galaxysrooter can just simply update when this thing comes out. Thank you for your time.
Just a bit offtopic but i want to know if the default browser in 2.2 has tab?
Or it is only faster than that of 2.1
I tried most of the browser and find that the default is the best, however it is missing tab browsing

So, you'd rather make somebody here do research and type up a dissertation for you when you could spend a minute to look up a much better explanation that's already been typed up? Is your time more valuable than that of others, or what?
are you this incompetent in "real life" as well?
seriously Timco - the suggestion for using the search function was the best response you could get, followed by the old adage "google.com".
it's better to teach you a lesson than give you an answer

It will help you in life if you are curious That said, the next thing is doing the research ........ that is what YOU need to do...... with Google, or other search engines you can get so much info on Anything it is amazing. Then you can come and ask the finer points of what you have found and get more from the informed techies that are in XDA.

Two Thing that we are currently have trouble with:
1、You need to use a special devices to disable the Chip.
2、We still can't unlock NAND.
ANYWAY WE ARE WORKING TO SOLVE THOSE PROBLEMS.

We used the smart card & s58 file to disable the chip, not the Jtag interface.
Why would you post this in one thread:

Although I agree the bootup animation is from older versions of Android, It's clearly 2.x+ as shown at 1:20 by the lwp, phone app instead of dialer, and a few other apps in the drawer.

1. Please properly search and read the forums as it does get tedious to read of documented issues. For example, click here
2. Schlund has already said he is working on fixing all the sound and acoustic bugs.
His last words on this were: "simply be patient"...
