Hello everybody!
I have a problem with downloading games/apps from Android market. Everything was working normaly, till two days ago, when i tried to download something from Android market. My Wildfire has started the download, but then the download stopped by it self (it was no longer visible in notifications bar) and now it is the same every time i want to download something. So now i cant download anything from market. I haven't changed any settings which could result in this problem. What should i do to fix this problem? Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks for your answers!!!
Problems here too.
I got a Desire and got the same issue. What's happening?
same probelm here... getting very annoying now
Also here since yesterday

Yes, here too.
Im on HD2 with a Mdeejay rEVOlution android rom.
Dont now what it is !
And yes sins yesterday !
Everybody have this problem !
There's a fault in the Market,
Now at the moment there's 1 option ;
Login @ "Google Talk"-application on your phone,
and then just close the app, it would work.
App brain too!!
same problem. It's also happening with App brain. Can take as much as 5-6 attempts before it works (if it works)
Found a solution to this problem. Go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> select Market and Clear cache. Then reboot your phone. It worked for me, hope it will for you too.
i think google is working on market to get PayPal enabled i saw an screenshot of an Dev acc where he had to enter paypal infos to his acc
check if u got your network mode set on : GSM/WCDMA.....i cant download with only GSM enabled
PayPal causing the hangup?
So rumour has it PayPal is coming to the Android Market tomorrow. I say rumour because I'm not sure about the release date, although I do know PayPal is coming. You think this could be the reason the Market is so crappy lately?
But until the launch, what I've been doing is downloading one app at a time and waiting for it to finish installing before starting the next download. You gotta make sure there aren't any apps downloading at the same time so cancel them all. If it fails, cancel and start again until it works. I've been having to do this all weekend but let's hope the PayPal integration is the cause and that it's all over by tomorrow so I can start buying more apps
My market works fine, does this mean pay pal isn't coming to all countries lol
I hope it is. We'll see soon enough though. My market also seems to be behaving now, but still no sign of any alternative payment methods yet. I'll keep checking though. CM6 and PayPal purchases within a week? It must be christmas!
Allows you to manage APP installed via the website and have them pushed to your Android devices. Not sure if anyone has looked at it yet.
Im on Bonsai ROM with Market version 2.2.11 and its not working for me. The website finds my Epic but apps don't get pushed to my phone when I click install. Is there a newer version I need?
I havent I'm not by a computer but I'm interested though....
Is it like the app store on itunes?
I'm tired of updating my phone and not having acess to certain apps
This would take all the pain away!

Worked for me, but I'm on stock.
Wasn't that one of the features of Gingerbread? It thought they mentioned that at the Froyo push last year.
They actually first showed this off last year at the Froyo event.
Getting SERVER NOT FOUND error?
I was able to use this today successfully. I remotely installed 3 apps, with absolutely no problems. It recognized all the programs already on my phone.
I'm on Nebula 1.0.7, so stock is not required
I'm on ViperROM 4.0.2c and am able to use it. The thing I like the most about it is that it has kept track of all the applications I've installed (which isn't the case when I flash my ROM). So I can reinstall the APPs throught he market. (yes the market keeps track of my purchased APPs, just not the rest of them via the phone.
It also makes installing the same APPs to multiple devices at the same time via the same Google account very easy.
I am on Quantom 2.7 and the website just doesn't see my phone at all. Wonderful.
are you guys just going to market.google.com??? I can't get to it from my computers.

Google the term "market"
Thank you.
And for anyone else reading this, the correct website is:
https://market.android.com/
I'm running Nebula and when I go to the web market, all of my apps that I've downloaded are there, but it won't recognize my epic. Anyone else found a fix for this?
Works on the current nightly of Cyanogenmod 6.
Shows the list of currently installed applications, and the instant I told it to add Angry Birds (not that I'm interested) my phone began the download.
Awesome.
Combined with the way all apps reinstall after a new flash, I should not need to use the crappy on-phone application again!

Well, I just flashed to a new ROM and am now once again having trouble with the sync.
My market.android.com list shows like 20+ applications, but Bonsai ROM downloaded 2 and acts like it is done. I'm going to have to go down the list and search for each of them now. Or maybe I'll try the same from market.android.com
EDIT it's working, but the list of installed apps on the phone's Market won't even update...
Time to say "goodbye" to appbrain. Finally.
Oh nice
Thanks for the tip. I was able to use my computer to browse the market and it was able to see my installed apps ok. I am running stock DI18.
Darkk
Says no phone associated with my account even though I can see my market history. I'll chalk it up ito being a new service and not fully up and running yet.
So it's finally out. What do you guys think? Is this the end of Appbrain? I loved appbrain cause I can browse the apps on the website and then just click install from there and it will automatically install on the phone. Now this can do it too!
The biggest upside to this? You can install (after you pay) "in-app" purchase app from the website. e.g. you can install the NBA League Pass from the website directly. Any other features I missed?
This is from Google themselves, not me.
https://market.android.com/
Cool. I like it.
I never really got into appbrain, because it still involved that extra step of opening the application itself.. and blah.. I think, I can't even remember. It just seemed tedious at the time to go onto the computer when it was quicker on my phone.
Then when Google does it, I'm all over it. I have been installing random applications just to install them. Why is this so awesome?!
I played with it for a while now and everything seems to be working well. I guess I can save some space by uninstalling appbrain and use this instead.
sweet jesus!
I'm like'n it...good stuff!
The automatic OTA install is working to my N1 and my Galaxy Tab now, it wasn't earlier this morning.
Works well!
With this new website comes another big change that will happen in the 3rd quarter of this year: NO MORE "LITE" version apps.

That's actually a good thing. You download the "free" application, and then if you decide to unlock it you buy the key from within the app rather than a separate unlocker application, or having the market cluttered with 2 separate versions.
Sounds like a plan!
The in-app purchasing as a general concept I'm not a massive fan off as it has the potential to lead to nickle & diming, primarily for games, but if used responsibly it should be good.
Wow, about time. Glad to see it's finally here.
now all they need to do is let you backup your app data. I dont want to lose my angry birds scores everytime i switch roms and forget to back it up with titamium backup
Well, I don't suppose there's a way for Market Enabler to work on the website?
It lists paid apps from all over the world, but it knows your phone's carrier and will prevent installs if your country does not support it..
I guess it's back to Market Enabler on the phone.
Anyone else having trouble actually buying apps from the website? Installing free apps works like a charm, but trying to purchase and install paid apps doesn't work. I press continue and _nothing_ happens.
running CM7 nightlies and the OTA installs are not working...
According to the website, you need to be logged into GTalk, only my GTalk won't log in. GTalk also appears to be missing from the market, so the problem may be on their end...
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Doesn't work for me, it's been years and Android Market still doesn't support Google Apps accounts for Checkout. Although I can login, no devices are listed under "my devices" on market.android.com
I'm running CM7 Nightlies as well, I'm a few behind though, and I'm always logged into GTalk and the OTA's are not working for me either.
It's not working here on MM v.20. I've tried installing several apps but nothing happens on the phone end, the GTalk solution they give also doesn't help. Weird thing is they all show up on my app list as completed when none of them have actually installed.

I'm having the same issue. I'm running CM6.1 kangorama's version and the install says it has worked on the website, but nothing changes on the phone itself.
I'm wondering if it has to do with it being a rooted device without a stock rom?

I'm betting that someone is going to have to create a Web App Store Enabler or something along those lines for this to work on rooted phones or phones without stock ROM's.
I have A strange problem
I have a rooted Desire phone
I cant see most of famous android market app like (Astro, Rom manager, angry birds etc..)
and the strangest thing that I was able to see all of this app. in 16/06/2011, and the last time I entered the market was at 1.30 AM (Cairo time +2 GMT) and every thing was OK, But at 8 AM the same day I couldn't see any of theme and till know 6 PM (+2 GMT)
Of course during this period I didn't do any thing with the phone, But luckily I made a backup in 14/06/2011 So I tried it and still the same thing.
So I thought that it was due to the update that didn't hit the Desire phone (Android 2.3) SO I decided to Flash a custom Rom and I flashed "CyanogenMod-7 for Desire GSM V7.0.3 Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)" and every thing got Ok but still the same market problem
SO I tried to dwonload the .apk market file version 2.3.6 manually and Also nothing happened
My basband version is 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.08 which was the same before and after the problem i.e with it I was able to see all the market app. and with it also "suddenly" I wasn't able to see the app.
My Kernel Version is 2.3.37-cyanogenmod
BTY I live in Egypt, Cairo, and as I said before I was able to see all the famous app. .And also when I log in with my account I didn't find any of the app. that I had download before
I dont know what is the problem
Is it the market that have a technical issue ??
Or whta is the problem ??????
Edit:
Well..... completion of strange thing, when i search for "Atro"
at first 16/06/2011 8AM (Cairo +2GMT) it gives me the following:
-Chinese News Online
after couple of hours (at 10:30 AM) it give me this:
-Chinese News Online
-Music Player Killer
Now (7 PM) it give me this:
-Chinese News Online
-File Manager
-Music Player Killer
??????????????
Well Guys....
Since no body answer my question.. it seems to solve its self by its self and the problem was from the market , Its seems that the market was down for a while and it is back now
This is the wrong section for your question. Right section is "Q&A".
Hello!
New Market on motorola Xoom Wi-fi every time I want to upgrade giving me FC. I don't know how to fix it. Tried to delete upgrade install on the Application but it is upgrading by itself. Tried to clear the cash, clear data.
Nothing helps.
Please, who know how to fix this problem? Looks like new Market doesn't work on Honeycomb.
Guys, help me, please? I really need your advice?
Thank you!
What market version do you have?

If you have Documents to Go installed, remove it. It has a problem with the manifest and Dataviz needs to update it, you can use the version from their website in the interim.
Or grab today's free Amazon Apps, Quick Office and Quick Office HD.
Tried everything. Market. 3.1.6, market 3.3.1.1 or something like that, all of them giving me fc.
Guys, please, I need a solution. Can somebody give some advice, please? Or maybe somebody have old mafket app flashable trough cwm? Because google doing nothing for honeycomb.

The problem is almost certainly related to an installed app, if you don't have Documents to Go installed, started removing apps one at a time until the market begins working properly and report back when you identify the offending app.
I had a thread for the same thing a page or so back.
documents to go didnt seem to cause me much grief (but i removed it anyway), but i did have a problem with Enhanced Email FCing the market (which i also ended up removing on the xoom, working fine on the desire).
noticed my market updated itself to 3.3.1.1 (or similar) the other night too - same problems as the last version.
just waiting for ICS update now and will see if that fixes stuff - I imagine it will and/or devs will update their apps to ICS
Do you have apps that you side loaded that the market reported as not compatible? I get the market FC any time one of my side loaded apps tries to update.
I found that it was a certain alternative market that caused me to "loose" all of my apps... I thought that it was the new market and even went back to the moray 2.2.1 to have the old market.
I figured out it was that other market because I uninstalled it and bingo, I had my apps...
I was pretty stupid and used titanium backup to "force" the market links and ended up with one heck of a messed up android market.... Now I am working through that..
Uninstalled the app called "Download all files" and sims like everything working for now.
Thank you very much!

actually i think i had getjar on there... that's missing from the supermarché now - I wonder if that was the issue
i was also guessing that by the time ICS hits the xoom - and all the devs update their apps for that most of this issue should go away
FWIW, I had the exact same problem I uninstalled Enhanced Email and the problem went away. Too bad, I really like Enhanced Email!
