Hi, I just bought the iconia i500 tab.
I am a student and I have some classes filmed on the net. I would like to download them and watch them on the tab.
Is there any stream downloader for android?

I am pretty new with this. How do you download movies? What software would you need? Also, can you plug it into the computer?
Download movies?
The movies that are on my elocity are from my own collection.
plug it into the computer?
I guess it depends on why you need to connect. If its to get files on the elocity, I use the app Dropbox to transfer files. Another user posted using bluetooth to transfer files.
This Elocity A7 section isn't that big and you could learn what others have discovered by reading some of the threads.
I use uTorrent over AceVPN with PeerBlock to download movies and television to a network storage device. From there, I use ES File to download to my A7 over wifi or sometimes I put the movie on a thumbdrive and then I use Act One to playback the movie.
Works very well for me although I would prefer to stream, but can't find any way to stream .avi files.
Basically i wanted to stream movie from my PC to my iconia a500 and then watch them on my TV is that possible ? if not any other tablet that can do that like asus transformer. Thank you

I currently use either Skifta or imediashare combined with moboplayer. As long as you share out a directory with files on your PC over the network you should be able to see and access the files. The A500 is DLNA compatible. It is one of the reasons I purchased it as I saw the xoom was certified.
thanks for the info
Hello,
at the regular computer I use Windows Media Player to watch IPTV from the Internet.
Which app would you recommend to use instead for Acer Iconia A500?
Thanks!
I found it by my own.
If anybody else is interesting...
To watch mms streaming we could use Vplayer (from market).
Hi,
Is it possible to make the tab as DLNA tv? so we can play movie/photo on tab, while data on laptop.
Currently it is possible but we have to browse which movie to play. What im asking is the media is pushed from laptop or other phone.
Thanks
Not ssure exactly what you are asking, as you say it's possible, which it is, so I'm not sure what you want.
However, I recently installed Skifta and I can now stream movies from my desktop over my home network to the Tab. It works well with Rockplayer

I would like to know that as well, I've read you can stream via DLNA/Allshare to a Samsung TV, but it seems those apps only stream a local file. Also I wonder whether the Nexus 7 is capable of downloading the stream whilst streaming it along to the TV.

Too expensive i think. What I will try out is a Samsung MHL cable (see Amazon) and attaching a WiiMote to the device. This should transfer the screen/audio while giving me the freedom to control it from the couch.
As of now, I have testes Plex Media Server in conjunction with the Plex App on the Nexus, which is really impressive on its own already, since I can for example link every YouTube Video I like (via myplex) and stream that from my PC to the TV (even without the Android App, since the TV recognizes the Plex Media Server on its own via DLNA!). I can also stream my Video Folders to Tablet and/or TV whenever I like. The only downside of this is that I have to have the PC running.
For streaming videos from the Google Play store I think iMediashare will be sufficient, since one can select whichever file residing on the tablet and stream it to the TV. I could not test it with Play Store Videos yet, since I get the error that I have downloaded the complimentary Transformers 3 to the maximum of devices already (which I haven't) whenever I click the download option in the Google Video Player. But from what I gather, it should be possible to download a video (rent) and instead of viewing it via the Google Video App, open it in iMediashare and stream that to the TV. Using the WiiMote App, it should also have a remote then.
In case one can't open the rental video outside of Google Video App, it should still work using the MHL Cable.
If you check that out, let me know whether it works for you
I will be able to do further testing when my replacement Nexus arrives, since I got and 8GB instead of 16GB version, I will have to wait until I got it swapped.
and therefore do not pile nexus 7...NO HDMI :/
I wait for acer a110
