I hope some of our Nexus S devs latch on to this one. It would be very cool for us to test it out.

as far as i know. they didnt even port the old htc sense. you want them to port the new one ?
yeah i dont think so. they will port it to desire hd or hd2 or whatever htc device. but i highly doubt you will see it on galaxy S or Nexus S since they are made by samsung.
i could be wrong. but i dont see it happening. at least not any time soon.
besides. isnt getting htc sense or any launcher defeats the purpose of owning a nexus S ? people bought it for pure google expieriance. if you didnt buy your nexus S for that reason then you made the wrong choice of a phone

Actually sense is already ported to the NS. Where have you been? Isn't the NS a dev phone? Isn't Android open source? What's wrong with variety? You act like if SENSE, TOUCHWIZ or Blur roms are ported you wouldn't try it. If you don't like SENSE then you shouldn't of opened my post. Its not like the title didn't speak for itself. Thanks.

I agree with the pure google experience part but honestly, if somebody puts their efforts into porting sense and creating another rom for the development section.
I don't see the harm of having another rom. Ns dev needs more roms. If you don't like it, don't use it. Android is filled with open customization.

Thank you for this statement. We need more variety! What's wrong with choices? People change their minds all the time. We all know we would at least try a sense, touchwiz, etc port if it became available. That doesn't mean we would use it as a daily driver, but its nice to know if you want a different rom one week or the next you can switch.

I'm now working on improving j's build
By improving network and WiFi ....
I think it's a good idea, go for it!
Dont call it 100% IF camera doesnt work with full features
Sensors dont work
Bit buggy etc etc

Nice work. Will try it when released
DUDE really sorry for calling it 100%
I would like to back off .....
It is every thing that u suggested buggy yes , no camera yes , etc
It is based on Aosp sources and you really don't know how tough
It is

I'm pretty sure he meant it's 100% based on AOSP rather than 100% functional
Yes ofcourse I meant that
Ty
Well I tried with motoblur but just got stuck at fc
I had to change parameters
But no luck
And Motorola is going to stop making motoblur phones soon....
I didn't bother
I would love sense on x10
I may try ?:$

The reason why he left it was because on ecalir HTC had put many restrictions and locked every Apk very tightly
It would be easier now because people for MOTO Droid with a diff chipset omap and powervgr have ported it
The main thing is decompiling and changing parameters
Like swappiness , RAM , etc

I don't know if anyone see this

I dont want to start flame war, just ask - when it will be for download can you use it to your ROM?
I NEED TO ASK PERMISSION

I dunno much about this stuff, but there was another thread about it recently & if I remember correctly even achotjan was involved but nothing released, maybe you should contact those & J, to avoid starting from zero
I've been wanting to try AOSP GB with fps fix and custom kernel from J's 2nd post but I'm not familiar with making boot.img's so I'm trying to look into steps of how to make one... BB.67 btw
Nice tho

Pm sent back and its cos of the customization of MIUI that makes it a great rom
We already have Trip and Cobrato working on it so why would we need another MIUI rom? Doesn't. make sense....
I want to see another rom which isn't on the x10 yet

Some people really need to improve their English here and besides, there has been not a single bugless software released in the computer world.
@OP -- I say go for it, and make it available for all basebands since we have kernels supporting all basebands now.

Kernels are available for all basebands but as of yet roms aren't
And because you cannot use internet whilst in phonecall on 2.0.XX (.46.49.52) and other things, roms on 2.1.XX (.54.55.58.61.65.67) are recommended for battery and signal strength

Are there any xda users with an hd2 interested in a rom with touchwiz and some samsung Apps?
If there are some interested people I would do one. Got already a working rom with touchwiz based on cyanogen mod.

I'd be really interested . I've always wanted touchwiz 4 looks really clean and simple .
Never used touchwiz that much but i would try it and i think lots of others would too because there is none available yet.
Would be great if a 150mb cwm partition with sd ext would be enough. I hate switching the layout all the time...
Thumbs up for this!!
First 2 trys went bad
One time with another tw launcher and one with direct port from galaxy 2.
Any dev here to solve this together?

Alright so I wanna try and start porting roms and I have a guide and it doesn't seem extremely hard and I think I can do it but I have some questions when porting a rom I figure I have to port it from a phone like the desire hd or can I port it from any phone jw bc I'm looking in the desire hd form and most of the aosp roms are already ported

Yeahhh that's part of the reason I tried learning how to compile so quickly. With as much porting that goes on for this device, its difficult to start off. Hence why I don't port at all anymore. I like to give others a chance at learning what I already know (somewhat). That's the reason you didn't see a jb port from me as soon as it hit the dhd I'll try to drop you a pm soon if I find any thing that would seem port/release-worthy.

This guy must be a troll... The phone has only been out for a few months and there's plenty of good, stable ROMs. ROMs are meant to enhance your phone, not relieve boredom. That's what weed is for... JK

So I'll take the high road and politely say that I believe there are plenty of quality ROMs and there are some good mods but I would like to see more concentration on modifying blinkfeed to make it more functional.
This is not my area of expertise so I don't criticize those who put in many long hours doing the work but when I find a rom or mod that I like and use I try to contribute to those who have put in the hard work.
MG
So go make a rom...
Useless thread. Closed
